Great pool with a lazy river and kids splash pad. Good bar and snack stand. Tried but didn't catch any fish in the stock pond. Had onsite laundry but didn't use. Pads are level but a little to close together for my taste. No cable. We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Travel Trailer.

As others have said, the sites are narrower than I'd like. However they are long. We pulled too far forward and had to back up to reach the pedestal. There was room to park either in front or in the rear of our MH!. The ground to either side does drop off. and then levels out. We have a fire ring, but did not bother, we were here to see a few sites. The pool and the 'Lazy River' I could learn to like that! Good OTA TV, no cable yet. No shade, maybe they'll plant some trees. All in all we would return. We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You have to go to Avery Island and the Tabasco Factory. Great tour and story. East at the 1868 Cafe on site. Quite a bit of other history in the area.

Park administration has moved from the city to the parish, and those folks are going all out to make this a 5 star resort. The concrete pads are level and easy to get into, and I would have given the place a 10 out of 10 if there was more of a patio area. The pool area is like nowhere else with the lazy river and swamp bar. Biggest asset has got to be the staff. We have never met such wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful people anywhere. We'll be back. We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Motorhome.

New park with pool, swim up bar, & lazy river. Park requires wristbands, has small store but does not provide or sell tubes for lazy river. Sites are narrow, close together, & has no fire rings. We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for 3 nights. The pad for the camper was level although very narrow. There was an extreme drop off from the pad of camper which was limestone making setting anything up under canopy very difficult. The sites are very close together, so when setting up chairs at the bottom of the slope, you are literally sitting on top of your neighbors sewer connection. It did have a fire ring, but it was so close to the camper on the side of us we could not use it, afraid to set the camper on fire. The amount of kids (9-12 ) year old driving golf carts around was ridiculous, not to mention the drunk adults driving carts around!! The pool area was nice except for the trash floating around in pool (styrofoam cups & paper plates). Also the amount of non-campers using the pool on the weekend makes it almost impossible to be able to enjoy yourself while swimming, really don't see how there is not a limit on allowable people for safety reasons. Needless to say this was our first and last trip to this campground, there are too many other nice campgrounds around this area to put up with this. As a person warned us before going here, this is a "Trashy Cajun Palms" wannabe!! We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Travel Trailer.

Great campground very clean large concrete pads. But the young ladies who work the office are clueless when trying to give directions. Seemed to be high school girls working a summer job. I had to ask for a receipt, then only got a cash register receipt. This is a great place but needs lots of management. No trees anywhere thus no shade. What happened for the Fire Ants. We stayed here Sunday-Wednesday to get the Passport America rate. The campground was empty. The sites are level, concrete, pull-through or back-in and big rig friendly. There is very little shade. Amenities include a very nice pool, bar area, snack bar(didn't seem to be open during our stay), laundry, pond, pavilion, club room. There is free wifi which was pretty good, no cable tv. The campground was clean and staff are friendly. I imagine the place is more crowded on the weekends as they do have a weekend activity schedule and entertainment. The campground is convenient to town and attractions such as Avery Island, Jeanerette museum, plantations. There is a fairgrounds in front of the campground, but besides some road noise and hearing a train, it was pretty quiet. There was some rain during our stay, with some puddles, but good drainage. We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Fifth Wheel.

Our site was concrete, a little tight to get into because of ditches. Site was long enough for 40 ft motorhome and car. Roads are gravel. Many families here on the weekend but very restful during the week. We were here for a rally and stayed a few extra days. Lots to see and do in the area if you dig a little. Trash is picked up at the site at 9am each day. We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Motorhome.

This campground has the best pool ever. It is shaped in swirls and semi circles, and propels you around without any effort by the swimmer. It seemed that the pool is open to the public for a fee. The sites are placed on a big parking lot, with no discernible landscaping. There are piles of construction debris scattered around. The front office staff is very helpful. The pool is the only reason we might return. We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Travel Trailer.

This is a VERY nice, exceptionally neat & clean campground -owned and operated by the parish (county) of Iberia. The sites are level concrete, only for the camper not patio setup unfortunately, but they do lack shade trees. This is the only reason I did not give it a 10. There seems to be some long term residents, however, their sites are clean and junk-free, actually you wouldn't even know they are long term unless they told you. Beautiful pool, lazy river with swim-up bar, covered pavilions with tables and chairs, a fishing pond, weekend entertainment, concession stand with some fast food and the nicest people running it we've ever met, especially the lady in the office! Our site was a drive into, so we faced the pond through our MH front picture window. We would definitely come here again, although the highway leading down from Lafeyette off I-10 was horrible for a distance - very uneven and bumpy. Don't hold this against the campground, though! Tips for other Campers:

Places we visited while there: Shadows on the Teche home and gardens, Avery Island with the Tabasco plant and Jungle gardens tour (missed all the azalea and wisteria blooms though). Konrico rice mill tour, Jefferson Island home and garden tour and ate at Duffey's '50s theme restaurant (delicious food and reasonable prices). I'm sure there were other things to do, but bad weather limited us.

This is a nice RV park located near the town of New Iberia, LA. They have large concrete sites, a mix of pull thru and pull-in/back-in, and asphalt driveways. They offer full hookups and very good free Wi-Fi. The pricing is very reasonable and they offer a Passport America discount Sunday through Wednesday. If I had a suggestion, it would be nice to include a patio slab attached to the site. The site pad is narrow so you must step off into the grass in order to walk around your RV. Oddly enough, when we were there the park was only about 5% to 10% occupied. Most parks we go to are more like 80% - 90% occupied. This park has a large lake, a very nice large pool and "clubhouse". Bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. We would certainly stay here again. We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Motorhome.

Called two times while driving to ensure park would be open, upon arrival office locked no one around ,called e number was advised employee was at the bar, closing out register, walked around and found employee , well, excuse me,...... Rude with attitude, returned back to Office and waited another 30 minutes along with 2 other families who arrived, employee returned with macho man coworker with total bad attitudes, "sorry to bug you both", got site assigned, thanks for not giving me a map or no directions, oh and thanks for space #161, you know the farthest spot from anything so my kids and I walk 1/4 mile to the pool, oh and thanks for the end of the electric run, you know 161, the one with the bad 30 amp breaker so my a.c. won't run, don't worry I have a 50amp cheater and resolved that issue, wife and oldest daughter went to use restroom showers and advised it was filthy, we stayed weds. Thurs night, park 20% occupied, could have got a spot right up front, but no miss Bitchy attitude, thanks for nothing!!! Pool is nice, and I'm sure owners are to, but staff sucks, be prepared if you visit, your r.v. will fall apart with the road conditions to get to new Iberia. This was my first time here. I have been camping for 15 years and never leave reviews and never had bad service like i did here. The pool is nice and the splash park and lazy river, but on the weekends they let to many day users off the street come in. The band was nice that's about it. They don't have a playground at all. You can't bring food or drinks in the pool area but it takes a hour to get a drink and 1-1/2 to get food the concession stand is a joke. The bathroom toilets had stopped up. There is no space and you walk out in a pile of limestone. The bracelets are paper thin; not like other resorts in the area. They don't serve anything in the stores. This place could be nice but all I kept hearing was I'm sorry i just started last week. Seems they have a high turn over rate on employees and lack of training. It's way off the interstate and the area is not that safe for shopping. We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first and probably last time staying at this park.

On the positive side, the pools are very nice. There is a nice splash pad for young kids and a great lazy river. Also, drinks at the bar are reasonably priced and they bring in good live bands on the weekends.

Negatives:

1). The sites are way too small. We barely had any room to sit outside of our camper.

2). Each site had a cement slab surrounded by limestone but the limestone was being taken over by weeds.

3). Lots of unattended teenage kids doing and saying inappropriate things around the pool and campground.

4). Pond is being overtaken by grass - its hard to find a place to actually get close to the water and fish.

5). Concession stand is not well attended - we waited an hour for a snow cone. Literally. An hour! We camped at Isle of Iberia RV Resort (formerly Cajun RVera) in a Travel Trailer.
