We stayed here one night during the French Quarter Jazz Fest which allowed the park to increase their rates. The owners are very nice. The problem was they were trying to squeeze big rigs in a park not designed for big rigs. We stayed here in a 45' motorhome and our friends were in a 41'. We did not belong here. My nose was sticking out in their driveway and I was required to park my toad in front of my neighbor's rig. Getting into the space was an event. Getting out the next morning required the next door neighbor to move his truck. This park should limit at 30'. There are a lot of homesteaders with several rigs in poor repair. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.
The park offers a limited shuttle to downtown $5 each way.

When you first pull in I have to admit it is a bit scarey. I was parked next to a party in an old broken down motor home covered with a blue tarp and one space a way from me as a couple sleeping in the back of a pickup truck under the canopy. But sprinkled in and among the full timers, were nice 5th wheels and then later that night 5 huge motor homes pulled in with their cars in tow. RV parks are truly a melting pot for America and a good experience for me. We slept well to the sound of pouring rain and like most all parks, everyone in the park was friendly. The park offers a valuable service, that being offering a shuttle to downtown New Orleans for $5.00 each way. It only took us 15 minutes to get there and the owners of the park were the drivers. They were very pleasant and offered suggestions on where to eat and what to see. They were very willing to answer questions we had about the hurricane. The owners are very pleasant folks who are working hard to make a living. I wanted to give the park a high rating because of them. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo
Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $35.00
The park was easy to find and enter/exit. They have a security gate with good reason. The neighborhood is run down and in a bad part of town. The park is narrow and deep and all gravel (I felt bad for my dog having to walk on it). A railroad switching area is in the back but besides an occasional bang when the cars hook up the noise was minimal. A motel borders one side and a large building borders the other side. On the bright side, the park managers are great. Gave us lots of good info on the French Quarter, restaurants, parking tips, etc. If you have a dog make sure you have plenty of flea protection (we were there in March 2015). Also, bring a 3x5 rug or step as they do not permit large area outdoor rugs to cover the green stuff (I would not call it grass). Watch out for doggie land minds as people, at least the ones who stayed before us, have a tendency let their dogs go behind their RV - instead of walking them to the front of the park where a small grass oasis is. You would not go there for the park, but we liked that it is pretty close to New Orleans. I would go again. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.
We tried a deli/grocery store within walking distance and found good food at a great price (take out).
Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $30.00
This is a great park. Very clean, including the restrooms, showers and laundry. The staff is very helpful and gave us information about getting into New Orleans, restaurants, parking, etc. It is about a 15 minute drive into town, and we parked for $12 for 12 hours. The campsites are small and close together but very well kept. The neighborhood isn't that great, but the park is gated and safe. There is a small pool, but we didn't use it. The sites are all back in, but the owner will assist if needed. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.
15 minutes into New Orleans
Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $40.00
For New Orleans, a decent older place, gated due to not being in a good area of town, very tight spacing and very friendly helpful staff. Close to I-10, grass / gravel sites, full hook up and cable; slow wifi. Staff provides shuttle service to French Quarter.
Laundry room is older and well used, bathrooms well used but clean. Had reservation for months at normal rate of $30 but the football semifinal playoff cost us $40 instead. Not an issue.
Would return knowing it's just a place to park. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.
Avoid the traffic and take the shuttle downtown.
Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $29.00
This is a small but nice well-maintained park and the owners show their care. the bathrooms are clean as is the laundry though the washers and dryers are showing their age. The sites were level, and big enough for our 34' motorhome. A 45' mh pulling a large dolly pulled in without a reservation and had to go on down the road to another park that was big enough for the mh and large dolly and had an opening. The gazebo and hot tub are nice and well-lit. The owner is a font of knowledge about NO and can even tell you where to park in the French Quarter. The hook-ups are good. The park is gated since it is not the best part of town, though we walked through it several times. We stayed 2 weeks and had the weekly discount. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a small park on the north side of New Orleans. It is in a questionable neighborhood, but has a secured gate at night and alert, responsive, interested staff, so we did not feel uncomfortable. The gate is electric and is closed at dusk. There is a keypad code, which they provide, so you can get in at any time after it is closed. The restrooms/showers are marvelous! Well designed, well kept, cleaned daily, and conveniently located near the office. There are no pull-thru sites. The park is bounded by a motel on one side and a small office building on the other, with a rail yard behind. The yard is not very busy and was not a distraction, day or night. The park is very well maintained and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They will help you unload/disconnect from your dinghy then help you back in. They have strict but liveable rules, which are basic common sense and not cumbersome. There is a nice gazebo near the small pool & spa, which is lighted with "rope lights" and pleasant for casual conversations, even in the evening. Would I return? Yes. It is the nicest campground in the immediate area and convenient to shopping, downtown, and the French Quarter. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Great park. Liked cause on City bus line. Takes you to the French Quarters. Did have to transfer to streetcar. Cheap ride 40 cents for seniors and free transfers. Can't beat that. The owner is very nice and helpful. Our first time in motor home and had to back in. No problem. They got us in the first time. I was amazed. Small park but very nice. We got next to pool and loved it. Stay here again, You bet. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.Undo

To be honest, he sites are very close to each other and few trees or other shade. Not very private. But, having said that, it is in the middle of New Orleans and land prices are at a premium so it is understandable--and not only that, you should be out visiting the city and not sitting in the campground anyway! The owners were super nice and ran a shuttle to take you to/from the French Quarter for only $5 per person. The area is a little sketchy but the park is fenced and gated and I never felt unsafe. Warning, if you are traveling there on I-10 Westbound (coming in from Mississippi), you have to turn left onto Chef Menteur Highway (four lane highway) once you exit the interstate, and there is no traffic signal. Needless to say it took awhile to get a break in traffic in both directions to be able to turn left with our fifth wheel. The pool and hot tub area was nice, but it was too cold on our trip to use it. The bathrooms were small, but clean. There is an on-site laundry room which was clean also. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Really enjoyed our short stay. Hosts will shuttle you into New Orleans, which is about 15minutes away, super handy. Beautiful bathrooms, really clean. Nice pool and hot tub area. WiFi works well. Locking gates with access code at night. Very secure. Hosts are very helpful in arranging any tours, etc. Would definitely return. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Price is based on monthly stay. Stayed here for a month to visit New Orleans and have a place to leave RV while taking a cruise out of New Orleans. There are not many decent affordable RV parks in the area. This park is not in the best neighborhood, but is only 5 miles from the French Quarter. It is owned by a very nice couple who live on site. Entire park is fenced with a security gate at night. We felt safe here. Not a big place with a row of sites along each side of road. Road and all sites are gravel. Full hookup 50 amp with free Wi-Fi. Nice hot tub and swimming pool, although pool was not heated in winter. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Don't let the surroundings put you off. Once inside the park, your rig is safe. They have a gate that closes at 5pm but you can still come and go as you please. The owner's are really down to earth, great people, and helpful. This park really worked for us because the bus stop was right across the street and took us anywhere we needed to go. So, you don't need your own vehicle here. Everything here was great, for us. If I had to pick something to criticize, I guess I'd say maybe the nearby train may be loud at times if you are here to rest and relax. Overall, a great spot if you're here to see the sites of New Orleans. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $28.00
This park is convenient to the French Quarter and to other New Orleans tourist areas. The sites are close together. We were two campers traveling together and the owners left a site between us so we would have a meeting space. The pool is not heated and is cold. The hot tub was hot and clean. Laundry is $1.50 wash and dry. Wi-Fi and cable are included in the prices and both work good. There is noise from the train yard and from the street, but it can be ignored. Price is weekly rate. Daily Good Sam rate is $35. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Gated park in ugly part of town. Small sites, motor homes crammed in. No shade. Lots of stray cats so watch for poop. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms/ showers. There is noise from highway and trains We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $28.00
This is New Orleans, you either have very expensive or reasonable campgrounds. This rate reflects the weekly rate, daily rate is $35. The owners were helpful, friendly and always willing to assist. The campground is nothing special, sites were level grass & gravel. Electric, water & sewer were fine. Internet and cable provided by the park were good, Verizon cell & hot spot were strong & satellite is good. This park is about 5 miles from the heart of New Orleans but the owner will provide transportation for a fee. Behind the park is an active Railroad Yard so if you don't like the sound of trains & train whistles you might want to find another park. The park is secure, the gate is closed & locked at night. The laundry room could use upgrading, machines are old and don't get much attention, neither does the laundry room for that matter. If in the area I would come back again, not many other choices.
