This is a good park for being in New Orleans. The rate is very reasonable. The hookups are good and include cable which as of Dec 2015 was still largely functional although some channels were "digital unavailable". We used the laundry room here and was functional although could have used some clean up. The sites are tight. You might get your awning out if you try. The pool and hot tub are well kept. There are some long-term tenants but they are toward the back of the park. The park is in a sketchy park of town, although Walmart, Winn-Dixie, Lowe's, etc. are a quick drive away. The public bus stops in front of the park, but we didn't use it. This park is a great value considering the other options in the area. My only complaint is that I asked for the office to print a one page PDF for me and they directed me to a nearby UPS store. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little park - very convenient to downtown NOLA! It's not "camping" per say as its in the city but that's why we were there. This small park is kept immaculate and is very safe with owners on site and a gated entrance. Reasonable rates, especially with Good Sam or AAA. Even though it looked tight we made the turn into the driveway just fine and backed into our level spot with our 37' Motorhome with ease. Full hook-ups, a nice small pool with hot tub and bath house/laundry room provided. Owners very helpful with info on cheap parking and good restaurants in the city. We spent most of our time downtown but still enjoyed coming home to this little RV park. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

The camping ground is really just a parking area for your RV in a secure gated environment. There is a small swimming pool but no other recreational activities. The bathroom facilities are modern and were very clean - some of the cleanest facilities we have found. Good laundry at reasonable cost. Full hook up but very limited space between RV's with some awnings touching slide out of next RV. WIFI available but drops out constantly. Bus service from directly outside camp ground to city provides excellent and cheap service which we used. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The owner met us on arrival and escorted to site - possibly very necessary to assist some to back into small tight sites and was happy for us to get settled and have lunch prior to making payment. This camp ground provides a perfect inexpensive option for RV travellers and we would definitely stay again if in the area.

Stayed here for 2 days. Nice little well maintained park with owners that are very helpful and friendly. The price can not be beat for the area. 5 miles to French Quarter. Security gate at night. Very tight but okay for parking the rig and enjoying NOLA. Owners gave suggestions on where to park and dine. 50 amp service, sewer, water cable TV and good WiFi. I would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Very good place to stay if visiting French Quarter. A shuttle service is offered for a fee and well worth it. The sites are very tight but they were getting even large rigs in there. The owner is very helpful with parking. There is a switching station behind the park but we never heard anything. There is a small area for dog walking but you can take your dog next door to a big open grassy mowed field for exercise which saved the day. We spent three nights. Facility is gated so we felt secure there. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The French Quarter and ask the owner about a big park in town. We were too tired to do more than the French Quarter but we would take our dogs and drive to the Park if we were to go back to New Orleans. Apparently there is a lot to see there.

The Staff was friendly and extremely helpful with scheduling tours of the New Orleans area.. Jude RV Park is gated at dark and quiet. The RV park shuttle is the BEST and a great value. Cost to camp is very reasonable. We will definitely stay here on our return trips.

Very clean park, mostly grassy areas with gravel to park on. Easy in and easy out back to the interstate. Fenced in and gate closed at night for a very secure feeling. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The shuttle service is great. They take you to a specific corner downtown and will pick you up at a specific time or you can call earlier if needed. A very nice touch.

This is a nice clean, secure, convenient, and affordable place to stay while you explore New Orleans. Yes, it's true, the sites are very close together, and there is considerable noise from the road and the railroad yard, but this is an urban environment and that has to be expected. There is only one area of grass up front to walk the dog, so no, not a great place for the pups, but it's workable. We were here for a festival and boarded our pooch at Camp Bow Wow. I highly recommend it. As for the park facilities, I didn't use them, but they looked to be very clean and modern. The showers have doors on them so lots of privacy, but no bench or chair. Just a few hooks on the wall in the very small changing area. I passed and used our own. There's also a laundromat, but didn't use it so can't comment. The owner is very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that the wi-fi was pretty bad. Worked some of the time, but not very well. On the plus side, there's a very strong Verizon signal. If and when we return to NOLA, I wouldn't even bother considering anyplace else to stay. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Mardi Gras World was one of the highlights of the trip. It's free to roam around the warehouse, but the tour is well worth the price IMHO. Also, you need to call them to arrange for the free shuttle to pick you up. The parking lot there costs $10 even for a couple hours. Also, the little deli/convenience store, Natal's, two doors down from the RV park has pretty good food and a ton of it for a very affordable price.

Great place to stay near the French Quarter, stores, and gas. People are wonderful - camping is in their back yard. HOT hot tub, nice pool. The union hall next door is great to walk the dogs. We have camped here for years and always look forward to coming back. You can't go wrong for the price and location. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

First visit to New Orleans. Security was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Train tracks were behind the campground, but there was not enough noise to be an issue. We would stay there again. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

National World War II Museum is a must! 4th ranked museum in the U.S, 11th ranked museum in the world. Easy drive to many plantations in the area, as well as the New Orleans Museum of Art.

We've stayed at Jude Travel Park before and have since upgraded to a 41' with 4 slides. Can't say enough about this clean and cozy park. We had no problems parking with tow car parked directly in front of our rig. The Jazz Festival Good Sam rates are only $10.00 more than the regular Good Sam rate. Owners are extremely helpful with festival, downtown parking, and restaurant info and the shuttle is still only $5.00. It's a gated park with good WiFi- the park is kept neat and clean (including an older motor home on premise that houses a couple less fortunate than ourselves.) The bathrooms are immaculate!! We decided to stay a few extra days as we map out our next leg. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one night during the French Quarter Jazz Fest which allowed the park to increase their rates. The owners are very nice. The problem was they were trying to squeeze big rigs in a park not designed for big rigs. We stayed here in a 45' motorhome and our friends were in a 41'. We did not belong here. My nose was sticking out in their driveway and I was required to park my toad in front of my neighbor's rig. Getting into the space was an event. Getting out the next morning required the next door neighbor to move his truck. This park should limit at 30'. There are a lot of homesteaders with several rigs in poor repair. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The park offers a limited shuttle to downtown $5 each way.

When you first pull in I have to admit it is a bit scarey. I was parked next to a party in an old broken down motor home covered with a blue tarp and one space a way from me as a couple sleeping in the back of a pickup truck under the canopy. But sprinkled in and among the full timers, were nice 5th wheels and then later that night 5 huge motor homes pulled in with their cars in tow. RV parks are truly a melting pot for America and a good experience for me. We slept well to the sound of pouring rain and like most all parks, everyone in the park was friendly. The park offers a valuable service, that being offering a shuttle to downtown New Orleans for $5.00 each way. It only took us 15 minutes to get there and the owners of the park were the drivers. They were very pleasant and offered suggestions on where to eat and what to see. They were very willing to answer questions we had about the hurricane. The owners are very pleasant folks who are working hard to make a living. I wanted to give the park a high rating because of them. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $35.00

The park was easy to find and enter/exit. They have a security gate with good reason. The neighborhood is run down and in a bad part of town. The park is narrow and deep and all gravel (I felt bad for my dog having to walk on it). A railroad switching area is in the back but besides an occasional bang when the cars hook up the noise was minimal. A motel borders one side and a large building borders the other side. On the bright side, the park managers are great. Gave us lots of good info on the French Quarter, restaurants, parking tips, etc. If you have a dog make sure you have plenty of flea protection (we were there in March 2015). Also, bring a 3x5 rug or step as they do not permit large area outdoor rugs to cover the green stuff (I would not call it grass). Watch out for doggie land minds as people, at least the ones who stayed before us, have a tendency let their dogs go behind their RV - instead of walking them to the front of the park where a small grass oasis is. You would not go there for the park, but we liked that it is pretty close to New Orleans. I would go again. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We tried a deli/grocery store within walking distance and found good food at a great price (take out).

For New Orleans, a decent older place, gated due to not being in a good area of town, very tight spacing and very friendly helpful staff. Close to I-10, grass / gravel sites, full hook up and cable; slow wifi. Staff provides shuttle service to French Quarter.

Laundry room is older and well used, bathrooms well used but clean. Had reservation for months at normal rate of $30 but the football semifinal playoff cost us $40 instead. Not an issue.

Would return knowing it's just a place to park. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Avoid the traffic and take the shuttle downtown.
