I'm very happy with my choice to stay Pontchartrain Landing during my visit to New Orleans. The park itself I would rate a 9, but the location I would rate a 6. They are located on a road with some abandoned shipping industrial sites. Getting to the French Quarter takes about 20 minutes. Staff is very helpful and take great pride in their RV park. Wi-fi was not very functional, but we had great cell service. Hookups were great and easy. I would stay here again. I did consider the other park in the French Quarter that costs a fortune, but after driving by that one, I am glad I picked the Pontchartrain. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

With PA, our nightly rate would have been $39. We were here for a week, but the rate jumped significantly at the end because of New Year approaching. We ended up being charged as a mixed daily rate, which decreased the value for the stay. If Passport America could be used for the entire stay, the value would have been better for us. The sites were gravel. The staff was helpful when needed. There is a restaurant on-site with live music on some nights. The offer a shuttle to the French Quarter but it is also an easy drive if you don't need to park. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

Road going to camp is awful so make sure you take it slow to avoid the potholes. Campsites are a bit tight but we were given help to our back in spot. However, not much room to use the picnic tables or sit outside. Unless you're near the office you can forget about internet at your site. Restaurant is very good. We were able to get a satellite signal even with all the trees. We stayed here about eight years earlier and they've fixed the place up nice since Katrina. They're building a tiny home area around the lake. Very clean and well kept. They pick up the garbage in front of your site all day long until 5pm. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

This is the best RV Park in NOLA. We usually get a spot right on the Industrial Channel. It is right next to a marina. There is lots of marine traffic to keep you entertained. But like many things in NOLA, it looks like a war zone driving to the park from I-10. But do not get discouraged. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

This is a unique RV resort, which also includes rental housing. The highly-desirable waterfront spaces are very nice. The sites are adequately sized and level. The interior roads are navigable but can be very dusty when the weather is dry. Unfortunately, although we made reservations for our four-night stay more than a month in advance, the only spots left were in the sub-par overflow section. The only provide water and electric. These overflow sites are located on a broken concrete parking lot with a temporary water and electric set up. After a strong rain, we were surrounded with water. Free dump service comes to your rig in this area. An inexpensive shuttle runs to the French quarter from the park. The Lighthouse Bar and Grill on the park premise is a great place to spend the evening. The food and drinks are good, and reasonably priced with entertainment on most nights. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is our second stay at this park, and it's clearly becoming popular. Make your reservations well in advance. Our rating reflects the rest of the park, not the overflow area. We recommend this park for any sites other than the overflow section. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

The RV Park is located off a questionable road, but it turns out to take you to a nice RV Park. Close access to New Orleans. They offer a shuttle service to the French Quarter as parking is not cheap. The park is gravel with sites separated by an island of trees and palms with a picnic table creating privacy. Full hookups with cable TV with good reception. Wi-fi is free but slow. They do have a pool and a spa, but we did not use them. They also have a restaurant serving lunch and diner as well as a movie about Katrina. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

We loved our stay here. Sites are gravel with plenty of room for our slideouts. Love the amenities here. Shuttle will take and pickup in the French Quarter for $6.00 per person round trip. We never unhooked our car. I think the restaurant, bar and entertainment outweigh any thing I would give for the wifi. They had a very good musician when we were here. Yes, the roads a little rough getting in but that's no fault of the park. Park is fenced and gated. Very good security. We will most definitely choose this park again. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

Very poor wifi serv here. Especially for the rate. Higher rate for water edge where we were, yet the views don't warrant it, a lot of obstructions. You can't reach anyone by the reg phone #. They only answer the 800. Power went out for hours, no one there to help you & when it will be back on. And no answer to phone then either. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

We wanted to stay at the park within walking distance of Bourbon street but that park has become way too expensive ($100+) for even a one night stay. This is still a decent park with FHU (a bit tight) sites, decent TV and WiFi, a pool. etc. On the west, it is bordered by a residential development and on the south by a marina. It can be argued that it is bordered on the north and east by water. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

Campground is in a very old, run down, industrial part of the city. However, it is a nice campground with a marina behind it. We enjoyed watching the boats come and go. Campground also had shuttle service to downtown but we used Lyft Services. Drivers were very nice, picked you up whenever you wanted. Campground also had a bar and grill with friendly staff. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Travel Trailer.

Rough around the edges. There are 2 sides to this RV resort, sites and activities. Sites are so-so, activities are A+. Restaurant, shuttle to town, and music are GREAT! Sites are tight, non-manicured. Resort is like an island in the middle of "Run-Down Industryville." We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

Very dusty dirt roads. Keep your windows closed. Don't expect a Resort Type setting bit adequate enough for a close and safe prioximity to NOLA. Funny, even though the campground is dirt roads, it was a welcome change from the "Paved Roads" getting there. Go slow!

Park location is not the best with empty warehouses, boat repair and storage businesses, plus industrial areas all around. However, only a short drive to New Orleans. many attractions and shopping. Road to park in very poor condition, park roads are NOT paved and sites are all gravel.... dust EVERYWHERE, plus a gasoline smell from marine repair shop! However, each site is divided by lovely flowering shrubs and small trees for good privacy, be it they are covered in dust! Using calcium on the park roads would keep the dust down considerably. If it were not for the Passport America 50% discount, we would not have stayed. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

The RV Park was OK, but not a luxury view on the water, unless looking at an industrial complex is your thing. There was absolutely no wifi, even though we were within 100 feet of the office. We had to take our laptops in the pouring rain and go sit near the office to get wifi. The restaurant was fun on Friday and Saturday with live music but the roads getting to this place are horrible and there was barely enough room to park our truck next to our 5th wheel. This park is OK, but not an 8 or above rated park. That is why I gave it a 6. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is convenient to New Orleans and offers a daily shuttle for a fee. Uber and taxi service also available. Park is overall in fairly decent shape but does have some room for improvement. It has a pool and restaurant. Roads and sites are gravel and dusty but sites are level. Park is in an industrial area and quite noisy much of the time. This is a good safe park to visit all New Orleans has to offer. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is much to do in the area. The French Quarter on a Saturday night makes for very interesting people watching. Although filled with all types including tourists, hucksters and the homeless, we never felt unsafe in the Quarter. We used Uber as an easy way to get around and as a good way to get local information.
