If one HAS to venture to New Orleans, this is really just an ok rv park to visit. Absolutely nothing special. Although there are only 2 showers/restrooms, they are clean. Quite near the French district. We took uber which was $12. The bus was very conveniently situated opposite the park, but the quite honestly, it was a pain having to change from the bus to the city tram as we had to wait, then push our way through crowds just to get to the centre of Town. Uber is safer and quicker. There are no pull through, no tv, barely any internet, and poor water pressure. But - if you're visiting New Orleans, you won't be, hopefully, sitting in the rv. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

It's New Orleans!! Go into the city and enjoy the music. Bourbon street was filthy, smelly and overcrowded..but, that's what it's about. We took the city tram, St Charles line, to the very upmarket suburbs. En route we saw a really great looking Restaurant, so hopped off, had a great Italian meal and caught the next tram back to Canal street.

Price was higher than normal due to Jazz Festival. Bus line just outside the door. Takes about an hour to get to the French Quarter. Their bus service has excellent app to get info, buy tickets, etc. Very friendly staff. Good WiFi, light streaming. Be careful coming in, the gate before the park will get you trapped. The correct gate takes a wide right turn. Yes, the lights and train can be annoying, but still a good place to stay. Ask for a site near the front for less train noise. They do not have a very good dog park. I would suggest they use the last area in the back, left for a fenced in dog park and convert the current area to a nice sitting area. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Motorhome.

Our space was a back-in, but plenty of room to do that -- The spaces are wide with good power water --Owners are super nice --The park is about 5 miles from downtown, but it`s an easy trip getting there by car -- The park is just east of I-10 freeway, & a very good parking lot is next to I-10 in the city -- No need paying a big price for a RV space in town - We have a 42' motorhome & was towing -- Our $30.00 rent was a Passport fee -- We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Motorhome.

This is a no frills place to stay if you are planning to be out sightseeing most of the time. While not in a great neighborhood, it is secure. They are a Passport America campground, but we were there during Jazz Fest when the discount is not available. Our motorhome is 43 feet. There are train tracks behind the property but the noise wasn't noticeable inside the coach. The grass is full of sand burrs. The only complaint about our site was a low hanging power line at the rear that limited how far we could back in. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Spend a day at the WWII museum, although one day may not be enough if you are a real war buff. We lucked out and the annual Jazz Fest was going on. It's pricey but was worth it. Great music, crafts, and food. We enjoyed Jimmy Buffet as the evening headliner.

This is probably the best option in the area. It is gated and lit up like a ball field at night! We felt safe. The utilities were fine. The spacing between lots was generous in comparison to other campgrounds. It is basically a gravel lot with a bit of grass at the rear of the sites. However don't let your dogs in the grass as it seemed to grow small burrs that loved getting on our dog! The WIFI worked for our needs. We did not use wifi for streaming. The office was helpful with info on NOLA. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We have a full sized dually and were able to park at the Visitor Center on Basin Street for 10 hours for $5.00. That price increases if there is a festival or anything special going on but it was better than riding the bus. We went after rush hour in the mornings and traffic was not an issue.

Overall Rating:

This is *fairly* good option while viziting NO. As campgrounds go, it's OK. Great staff, fair price, reasonably well spaced. However, the railroad isn't just a stretch of track with trains traveling thru intermittently. It abuts a switching yard where they are constantly building trains 24/7. Engines powering up or braking. The ringing of steel wheels on steel rails. Just be forewarned. It wasn't a deal breaker for me. But, I did grow weary of it. Second important thing. If you're going into town each day, the bus system is very erratic. Thirty minutes waits are common. It's two buses to The French Quarter. It typically took us 90 minutes. The bus drivers are excellent and patient. Taxis run about $20 plus tip. We felt safe, but, like most of the ring around NO, it's pretty gritty. If you've traveled in Mexico, you should be comfortable in these parts.... We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Travel Trailer.

Passport America price. Gated. Very nice owner. Short ride-hail away from the Quarter. We were looking for the cheapest (but still safe) place to stay near the French Quarter. This park is definitely it. The owner is new, and very nice and accommodating. This is basically a large, gated, flat, unpaved lot that you can back in to a space on either side (no pull-thru). The individual spaces are fairly level and close. The water pressure is a bit low. There is a clubhouse with a lounge and a small laundry area. We had 30amp FHUs and 4 bars Verizon LTE. The area is sketchy, and we were advised by our Lyft driver to stay inside the RV park, but we never felt unsafe while we were there. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Fifth Wheel.

Booked 3 nites stayed 5 just before xmas. Immediately noticed good size park. Very cold day. Owner almost insisted my wife and I remain inside and warm as he backed us in (customer service at its finest) check in was quick and efficent. Very clean office and laundry. Restrooms roomy and clean. Neighborhood questionable, felt safe with gated security. Even after hours owner seemed to be right there make sure no problems. Very quiet at night. Except for trains. Plenty info on sightseeing available. When uber came the owner escorted the driver directly to our parking spot( again great customer service) $14.00 to french quarter. Yes will stay again. Only one issue. Went to Ask for cable box on 3rd day, the two girls in the office tried but couldnt figure it out and bagan getting loud. Until then customer service was outstanding. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a clean, gated, safe place for your RV, but nothing fancy. The park is just a large graveled lot with perimeter back-ins, BUT it is close to New Orleans, afterall you come here for the City and not to hang out at the RV park. Train noise was barely heard and not a problem for us. Staff was really nice and the facilities clean and well kept. For the practical purpose it serves this is a good deal, for sure we'd stay here again, and they take PA. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Motorhome.

There is nothing fancy about this campground. It is a very level lot for you to securely park your camper with full hookups. The sites were good sized with plenty of room for any sized rig. There is a dog park and a lounge, bath/shower rooms, and laundry facility on site. There is an active train track that runs right along the back of the property but, surprisingly, we were not disturbed by the train at all and never heard a horn. We stayed overnight and it is very convenient to The French Quarter. The host was very accommodating, they had great water pressure, and everything worked as expected. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here 5 nights in our travel trailer. The park itself is hard to get into coming from the East. The sites are big. Bathrooms were clean. The neighborhood was horrible, but security was good with a gated entry. It was convenient to go downtown by uber, bus, or driving. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Travel Trailer.

I stayed at this RV park from June 29 and checked out July 1. All the amenities provided were very good: there was cable, very clean bathrooms and showers. The staff was exceptional in regards to customer service; willing to answer questions and provide assistance when needed. Security wasn't a concern, it was gated with a security code for entrance, and cameras. Best Kept Secret! We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Motorhome.

This is a no-frills park, nothing fancy; just a big lot with plenty of room to park your vehicle. The campsites had full hookups. T-Mobile cell service was not good. Satellite was very good. Washers and dryers were very good, $2.00 per load. We were there for 5 days over Memorial Day. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

What it does offer is a reasonable rate with local transportation to the French Quarter and surrounding areas. Pay $3.00 per person and ride any bus or street car all day. Personally I am not a big user of transportation systems but all worked out very well. Bus stop was across the street from the RV park, people on the bus were very helpful with the stops. The best thing we did was to stop at the visitor center on I-10 and pick up a map of the city. The agents at the visitor center were extremely helpful on explaining how to get around in New Orleans. That map was our life saver. The street cars were terrific. The WWII museum is not to be missed. Lunch at the museum was also outstanding.

Within a couple of miles on Rt 90 were most any store you would need: grocery, Walmart, Home Depot.

Unfortunately, this is a travelled parking lot. Our view from the back of the rv was over the fence to a junkyard! And the rest was a railroad car storage area. The pet area was a damp spot under 2 trees. On the positive side, the people working there were superb. Very nice people. Would never stay there again. Live and learn and make the best out of what you get. We camped at Three Oaks and a Pine in a Fifth Wheel.
