21 RV Parks near Saint Martinville, Louisiana
Jul 2016 - $26.00
Great place to stay. Lots of activities to do with kids. Canoeing, kayaking, fishing, bike riding, etc.. Stayed for the 4th of July weekend. Grounds could be a little neater. Kids said the trails are rough (growing over). Splash park was out of service, not sure why. We had issues with the 30 amp service, had to borrow a 50/30 jumper. I love the place, out in the boonies!! No cell service, awesome!!! Like the old days!! - mjstpierre
Dec 2015 - $22.00
This is a getaway from it all type of park, a place you can disconnect from everything. You are located near the Atchafalaya Basin, so enjoy the natural setting. At this time of year, the park was mostly vacant. After our scheduled stay was over we added a few extra days, it was that relaxing. We were able to choose a waterfront site that had it's own dock for your canoe or kayak. All 50 sites are back-in, mostly level, with the water/power on the wrong side. Not a big deal, our hose and cord easily reached. Mosquito's were minimal, bug spray was optional. Lot's of wildlife for viewing or photography. Night skies are very dark, great for star gazing. The camp host was always friendly and busy at maintaining the sites. Cell service was nonexistent for Verizon, limited for AT&T. Many OTA channels from Lafayette and Baton Rouge. Free WiFI was filtered and slow. Restrooms were dated, but clean. Having free washers/dryers was nice. Many walking trails, but some spots can get sloppy after rains. Canoes, kayaks, and small john boats available for rent. Swimming not allowed due to the gators. Great fishing nearby. Two small grocery stores 10 miles away with the basics. The town of St. Martinville is a little longer drive, but worth the trip to go explore and grab a bite. - don_church
May 2015 - $22.00
Our family loves to camp here and has stayed many times. The trails are nice with some animal sightings, splash pad for kids, fishing is pretty good, and the sites are well maintained.
Bathrooms are not clean, but a lot of this has to do with the "characters" that use them. Louisiana parks are under mandated budget cuts which will effect any manpower and maintenance.
Our stay in May 2015 was very disappointing due to loud, unrefined neighbors. These individuals had family at another site and then had numerous others come in by boat and by car, some after 10:00, when the park had closed. The noisy outside drinking and card playing continued until 1:00 a.m. all weekend.
Future reference for courteous, rule abiding campers - the manager lives on the premises. Call the local sheriff's office (# located on the paper you receive at check-in to put on your dashboard.) The sheriff will contact the park manager and both will come to investigate. Only problem is cell service is pretty much non-existent. You will most likely have to drive to one of the buildings within the park or around the office at the park entrance to get good reception. We will be more prepared should this ever happen again. - Trav_15
Apr 2018 - $28.00
Nice clean, quiet park. The owner was very friendly and helpful. All the hookups worked well. The park is a bit off the beaten path, so there was no traffic noise. We stayed on a Saturday, so neither our Passport America nor our Good Sam cards counted for discounts. However, the value was still satisfactory. We would return to this park. - John A Guderian
Oct 2017 - $18.00
Really hate to make negative comments about a facility, especially when the owners are no nice and park so attractive. The park is located about 12 miles off of I-10 on some of the roughest roads we have traveled on in Louisiana. We have driven on some dirt roads not as rough. Tree branches lining the paved road in the RV park need to be trimmed as some thin/light branches brushed against the coach several times as we transitioned thorough the park.
The sites are extremely narrow, some of the narrowest we have seen. If all the sites were being used, you would not be able to extend slides and awnings if your neighbors were attempting the same. Park had very few RV's during our stay. When not busy/at capacity, our site functioned as a drive thru, however at busier times, there would be two RV's on the site, back-to-back and the site would be a back-in. Sites, in my opinion, just do not lend themselves to any outdoor patio enjoyment/living. Too narrow, no adequate room for carpet, picnic table, BBQ or chairs. With that said, our overnight stay was only $17.50 for full hookups with Passport America discount.
Roads in the park are paved and narrow. Most sites appear level with concrete pads, some beginning to crack and a few with broken sections and very small grass patio. All utilities worked as intended with pedestals very close to the coach on both sides.
This park has a very large recreational and play area. Lots of open fields, lovely pool area and large covered pavilion. Park was clean and grass cut. Open sky for satellite reception. Verizon, Sprint and T Mobile all worked well. This venue would lend itself well to a family reunion with children where all activities were at the main pavilion and pool area.
The Passport America rate is awesome, however I do not believe we would return to this park primarily due to the rough 10 mile drive in and out and the narrow campsites. - ECM1
Jan 2017 - $17.00
Stopped over a couple of days to catch up on work. Quiet place to get some things done and take a travel rest. A highlight here was the response from a Sunday phone call--the owner answered and confirmed there was a spot and gave us a bit of direction as to coming in at night. Verizon 4g connected well here. - ThreeTravellingBlondes
Apr 2018 - $25.00
I stayed here for 4 nights working in nearby St. Martinville. The park is clean and most of the sites are away from Hwy 90 so quiet. I was close to the back and it was very quiet. There are a lot of workers staying here and some longer term residents. The road coming in is gravel and a bit rough but nothing too bad. Site is gravel and level, full hook ups, and all back in sites. The campground is very clean and seems well kept, a good bit of trees but none in the way and a good amount of space between sites.
Cash or check only, no credit cards. - DavzCarz
Dec 2017 - $25.00
Stayed 3 nights. WIFI was better than most parks. Host was good to us. Park has mostly long term residents. However, you could not tell they were long term, all sites were clean and orderly for most part. Road noise was not bad. Park has a bunch of speed bumps to keep traffic slow, which it is. We enjoyed our stay in this no frills park. Didn't use restrooms, but office was clean. We would stay again. - FTatcret2013
Jul 2015 - $25.00
The staff is Incredibly rude, took the enjoyment out of the stay. Park looks good until it rains and then it floods. Water covers the roads. Roads have huge pot holes. Bathrooms appear to be clean but are small and dark. - Articrob
May 2016 - $20.00
We stay here when we are in Lafayette. A lot of work is being done to clean up, trees trimmed so Satelite works on most sites. Close to good food. No pool but who cares I don't come to Lafayette for a pool. If you use Silver Sneakers Snap fitness is about 1/2 miles, I need to work out after all the food. Go to BJ's for a Shrimp PoBoy and fries. You won't be disappointed, about 1/2 mile. - User2314
Sep 2014 - $20.00
Spent one night at this park and while the park manager was friendly and nice, will not stop again. Traffic noise was so loud you felt like you were in the median strip on the highway and did not let up until after 10:30 or so. It appeared there were a number of old and abandoned RVs parked there. Since our camper has no bathroom, we had to use the shower and restroom, and they were in bad shape. There was a plunger by the toilets which were not functioning properly, no exhaust fan of any type that I could see for the showers, and not clean. That experience taught me to look at the bathrooms to check them before parking there. - Travellite14
May 2014 - $12.00
This park accepts Passport America, which is the rate I paid. This isn't a "destination" park, with pool, dog run, kid's playground, etc. I used this park as a home base for exploring the Lafayette area. It is on Route 90, and you'll get traffic noise, but it certainly didn't bother me. While I was there, the owner was having the laundry and bathroom building painted inside and out. He has been working on a solution to bring Wi-Fi to the park, but has had trouble coordinating with the cable provider. He was very accommodating, as I kept extending my stay. I would stay there again if I was in the area. - Betty.Karl
Jun 2018 - $55.00
Great pool with a lazy river and kids splash pad. Good bar and snack stand. Tried but didn't catch any fish in the stock pond. Had onsite laundry but didn't use. Pads are level but a little to close together for my taste. No cable. - ArmyDave
Jun 2018 - $45.00
As others have said, the sites are narrower than I'd like. However they are long. We pulled too far forward and had to back up to reach the pedestal. There was room to park either in front or in the rear of our MH!. The ground to either side does drop off. and then levels out. We have a fire ring, but did not bother, we were here to see a few sites. The pool and the 'Lazy River' I could learn to like that! Good OTA TV, no cable yet. No shade, maybe they'll plant some trees. All in all we would return. - blues traveler
Apr 2017 - $35.00
Park administration has moved from the city to the parish, and those folks are going all out to make this a 5 star resort. The concrete pads are level and easy to get into, and I would have given the place a 10 out of 10 if there was more of a patio area. The pool area is like nowhere else with the lazy river and swamp bar. Biggest asset has got to be the staff. We have never met such wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful people anywhere. We'll be back. - Voyageurs
Apr 2018 - $10.00
Nice county park. First come and first served with no reservations. $15.00 a night, but if over 55, it is only $10.00 a night. Just pick your spot and ranger will come in the morning to collect the fee. 10 day stay limit. Cute and Nicely maintained Playground. On the water so there is a boat launch. Fairly quiet, but some activity because it backs to a canal so there is some boat traffic, but it is a peaceful setting. The bathrooms are old and a bit rundown, but we did not use them. Verizon signal was weak most of the time with only a 3 G signal. It was busy on the weekend (Easter) with many local people, but not sure it is busy every weekend? However, there were still a couple spots available. ***WARNING*** if you are over 9'6" or 5000 lbs, you must come in through Rt. 3177 Atchafalaya River Hwy. thru Butte LaRose to Herman Dupuis Rd. Do not come in from Henderson Levee Rd. As there is a pontoon bridge with low clearance and weight restriction. - Tracy and beth
May 2018 - $30.00
We haven't been in this area of LA for 5 years. We remembered this park having good facilities and being reasonably priced. It still is. We had a level, FHU, pull-through site with cable TV and Wi-Fi that worked fine for our minimal needs. The bathrooms we used were clean. This time it was warm enough to use the pool. While the park still has mostly permanent customers, I do not find that to be a problem. For us, the only negative is that there is nothing within walking distance of the park. - Jerry S
Apr 2018 - $15.00
I came here for one week then stayed for five. Great people, spotless grounds, regularly cut grass and sprayed for weeds and ants. Pull-thrus near the entrance for overnighters, back-ins further back for weekly/monthly. Some contractors and longer-term but very well-maintained RVs and sites. Park convenient to New Iberia shopping and tourist sites. Strong wi-fi, generous cable tv. Daily trash pick-up. I'll be back. - Halfmast
Apr 2018 - $32.00
Nice park. We stayed here a few years ago and they have enlarged the park and made many upgrades. There was plenty of room and the park is big rig friendly , clean , and well maintained. - Cinbob
Nov 2017 - $34.00
If you like small sites with no grass to speak of, this is for you. If you like no sleep because of all night traffic, again, this is for you. This is a park right up next to a 4 lane busy busy highway with an exit ramp right next to it. There are no buffers or trees to break the noise. I would NEVER stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. - DE Camper
Sep 2017 - $34.00
Great CG to stop at. Friendly service at check-in and very nice pull-through for our one night stay. Very clean facilities. Site was level. All we had to do was to hook-up our connections which were place in a good spot for our 5th wheel. We will definitely stop here again if we are in the area. Wi-fi was strong at our site and easy to use. - dakota ev
Aug 2017 - $32.00
We had a lot of rain but it drained quickly. As stated before, staff in the office is great. Lots of information .... and mosquitoes! - har-fl
Sep 2015 - $109.00
This place is horrible!! Please don't ever stay here. The outside appearance is rough, there's a few broke down campers. The cabins are kind of cute from the outside, but there were spider webs all over. The inside of the cabin wash trashy! The bathroom was gross, filthy counter top, the AC was so dirty it stained my hand, tiles missing from floor, the bed looked like it came out of the 70s. It was just a horrible experience. It reminded me of one of those "pay by the hour motels". Thankfully they refunded our money, but not until the owner explained how his mother passed away the night before, his employees embezzled all his money, and the cleaning lady was new. Just so unprofessional. - Ms_Kay15
Aug 2013 - $22.00
NEVER stay there. This place is a mess, weird people around, after dark you are surrounded by thousands of mosquitos (I got more than 30 bites all over my body). Washing machines are available, but NEVER use them. We did, and because they have iron water, most of our clothes were destroyed, and we had to throw away most of the two loads!!! The restrooms do not even have doors. Such a terrible place. - nikotka
Feb 2013 - $35.00
When we called to make a reservation for a week, the office was insistent upon our coming to McGee's Landing first to pay for our week, sign a contract, and then take our money. After we did that, we were told to cross over the levee to the campground. Now I know why we were told to come to McGee's Landing, first. Upon our entrance to the campground we saw: 1. an old washing machine, 2. old tires, 3. empty beer bottles, 4. an old vehicle with its hood propped open, 5. massive amounts of personal trash, 6. an office that is closed and has an old worn out ice maker propped on the porch, 7. broken lawn chairs/other broken items, 8. other campsites that were under water that appeared to have sewage in them, 9. large equipment tearing up tree trunks. We parked our RV only to be approached by a massive sewer smell. There was mud everywhere. It was impossible to walk our dogs without being in mud or approached by stray cats. I will never stay here again! - hootch
Mar 2013 - $25.00
Friendly staff and good RV Park. Great Wi-Fi close to the office, and just off highway 90 and 83 interchange. Did not use bathrooms while here, so don't know about them. Spacious and it appears to have some long term residents. Great place to stay to explore New Iberia and Avery Island which are close by. - Legends Of America
Apr 2007 - $20.00
This is not a campground, this is a trailer park. We did not see another "camper". The restrooms, laundry facilities, and pool were very dirty. I would not stay again. - bcampbell
Apr 2005 - $20.00
If it has rained recently this park is VERY muddy. Lots of road noise from adjacent highway 90. Many long-term residents. Several vehicles (RV plus 2-3 car/trucks) at many sites making navigation difficult. Sites are small for big rigs. Night security lights very glary. Not many choices in this area. - cowboy
