1 Park near Scott, Louisiana
Apr 2016 - $52.00
This was our third stay at this KOA. While KOA's rates are more than we usually pay, this particular park offers a lot for the money. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location places the visitor to true Cajun country at its doorstep. Kids will enjoy a clean pool, paddle boats and a playground. Adults will appreciate the easy on and off from I-10, as well as some really great restaurants nearby. I recommend the sites on the east side, next to the lake, as they are shady and provide decent space between campers. The bathhouse is always clean.
The only downside is that the sites near the interstate have to deal with some road noise. - DSLACamper

All good except for cable TV. Poor picture on all lower numbered channels, including CBS and Fox News.
Cable hookup not near pedestal - separate post near road but office didn't tell us that. Had to call office.
Channel lineup in brochure doesn't match actual on most channels. - Joe Chernow

Unfortunately, KOA campgrounds just seem to always be over priced for what they offer. This campground though is probably in the top 3 of KOA's we have stayed at. I agree with other reviewers that it is close to I-10 and as a result has a lot of highway noise. It was little more than a constant drone inside our coach with our windows closed and didn't impact my ability to sleep. The interior roads are asphalt and the pads are concrete. Some reported that the pads were all broken up and uneven. That was not my experience. Our pad was fairly level. I checked out the pads on 2 aisles in the park and did not see any that were broken up and unlevel. Yes, there were cracks in the edges of several of the pads, but that was about it. Most of the sites have trees on them and the areas that aren't concrete are for the most part covered in gravel. The cable TV was excellent, but the WiFi was unusable. One odd thing was the cable TV connections are in a box between every other site so we had to stretch our coax to the passenger side of our coach. There is a nice fishing lake and several of the back-in sites are around the lake. The park was clean and neat. There is a picnic table at each site. The sites are of reasonable width. The staff were congenial and answered our questions both times we contacted the office. - Phaeton_Owner
