From check in to check out we were blessed to stay in this beautiful campground. The staff were ultra friendly and eased our burden as we were in the Lafayette area for a funeral. We were in site 151 which easily accommodated our 24 foot motorhome and gave us perfect reception for our satellite dish. We weren't towing a car, though a car would have easily fit on this site along with our motorhome. Site offers some shade. We hope to one day return to the campground to have a family reunion. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Motorhome.

Check in was very easy and fast. Staff very pleasant. Gave us the location we requested. Very clean and well maintained park. Restrooms and showers we very clean. Electric and water was excellent. Wifi worked very well. Park wasn't too busy so rvs were spaced out so there was lots of space around our trailer. Lots of shade and concrete sites were nice and level. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of families and kids (noise and music) this time of year. We were given a place sorta away from that. KOA rates are usually high and this one is no different, especially for rigs passing through and not needing all the amenities. We did get a KOA member 10% discount (we think) for a place away from the big pond ($45). We were told that the back ins by the pond were even more expensive. Easy access off of I-10 at Exit 97. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We received excellent help/service from Dixie RV (Winnebago dealer) at Exit 109B for our Winnebago failed electric transfer switch. Got us in on an emergency basis as we were motoring across the USA and had no AC electric capability.

Park is just a few blocks from a very busy I-10 and noise level from traffic 24 hours a day was loud. We picked this park based on reviews on KOA site and all reviews were positive but when we looked at other review sites reviews were 50/50 negative positive. KOA States there pullthroughs accommodates 60 foot Rv's but we have a 30 foot fifth wheel and a truck and we had to park truck diagonally to get it off the road . Site was actually about 40 foot at most. The positives are nice pond on premises for fishing paddle boarding and canoe. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a 1-night stopover for me. Convenient location along I10. My pull-through site accommodate my MH and tow car. Large trees kept me from using my satellite dish, but cable was adequate. Exiting the park was a little tight. Staff was very friendly and helpful about sights in the area. I understand they are expanding the park with larger, more open sites. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice well kept KOA. We were in site 129 with a 36' motorhome with toad. Site was long enough for both without unhooking. Electric and water were good. Cable tv was fuzzy but watchable, but the box was at the far rear of the site, so you will need 50' of cable. Good Verizon signal. Sites in this area are treed, no sat access. Staff was friendly and helpful. No escort to site. Sites are concrete and level. Did not see any that were broken up, except maybe a corner off. Watch the trees limbs when turning into the site. There is a Chevron gas station at the round a bout for gassers, just watch which way you enter (face the building) There is a dog park, nice grass but small. There is a pond on site and you can fish. Easy access to interstate, but the round a bout can be a bit confusing, watch for the KOA sign. Wifi is spotty works well at times but bogs in the evening. The park is manicured and well kept. Clean bathhouses. We would stay here again. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Motorhome.

Noise right on I-10-our rig faced the off ramp, 6 lanes of traffic, the bridge and the road into the RV park. In dire need of some sound baffles. We have been RVing for 20 years and have never been bothered by traffic noise, but this was loud and unrelenting. The folks were nice-the park was well kept-but we would NEVER stay here again. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Motorhome.

This was a friendly, easily accessible, safe place to stay while visiting the area. We stayed 2 nights as we spent a full day down on Avery Island visiting the Tobasco factory and the Jungle Gardens. We had a nice time here but it is nothing fancy and near the highway. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Big rig friendly with concrete sites and easy access to interstate. Dog park was small but still nice. Showers were private and large with plenty of hot water. Laundry was large but didn't use. This was Halloween weekend and interesting to see all the children's costumes. No cable at all site but no problem using our satellite. Wifi was good. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice clean park with lots to do and friendly staff. We would stay there again, but we'll choose site away from the highway. The only reason we didn't rate this park a 10 is due to the road noise from I-10. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Traveling from Grand Canyon to Florida and stayed one night. Would loved to have stayed longer. Helpful and friendly staff. Staff will recommend good places to eat. Pristine grounds . One of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. Camped by the lake in 24 foot RV. Other spaces are less expensive. Highly recommend!!!! We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice KOA. Easy off the interstate. Friendly, welcoming staff. Nice camp store. Grounds are well kept- nice pond in the middle. Pool area clean and inviting. Sites are level concrete pads but narrow. Motorhome just fit! We were here only overnight and we would come back if we were in the area again. We were very pleased with stay?
