Overall good location; we just used it for a weekend, taking our rig out for the first time of the season. No complaints, overall solid location. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We spent one quick night on a cross-county trip, and would definitely stay here again. Our large pull-through site was perfectly level, and had a nice patio and picnic table. The bathrooms were spotless and quite nice. The little store was ok, but closed soon after we arrived. The staff was very helpful, even providing an adapter for us to use with the cable system which had plenty of clear channels. The campground was very convenient to the highway, but far enough way to be extremely quiet. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

A roomy pull-through, more than adequate for our 40' coach and toad. Large fenced dog park near our site. Lots of trees and shade but easy to maneuver the access roads without scraping tree limbs. Friendly, helpful staff. Adequate water pressure, electric, sewer. Nicely stocked camp store. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Fairly large park suitable for our short stay, although there are long-term residents here. There is a paved entrance road into the park which branches off onto gravel roads. The office complex with check-in sits near the center of the property. In the front section of the park are long gravel pull-through sites (most seemed to have a slope; some very significant). Shorter back-in sites are off the two gravel side roads. Located behind the office are two additional sections. There are ten sites with fairly level, long concrete pads off of gravel roads. Next to the section of concrete-pad sites is an area with longer-term residents on grassy/gravel sites. Although the concrete-slab area is designed for larger coaches, it is difficult to maneuver into sites 101-105. The road between the concrete slab sites and the longer-term resident sites is narrow and trees have been planted on both sides of the entrance into the concrete sites. We could not make the corner into our pull-through site (even with our tow disconnected) without scraping the sides of our 45' coach with tree limbs. Not wanting to do that, we ended up driving down the "exit" road of our site and then backing into it (no trees at the front of the sites.) The entrance road for sites 61-65 is older asphalt and a bit wider, plus there is just a grassy field on the opposite side of the road, thus it would be easier to swing wide and enter those sites. However, several of those sites have mature trees which may block roof-mounted satellite access. The property includes a very nice convenience store with food, pet supplies, and rv parts, wi-fi, cable tv, a seasonal pool, children's play area, two wonderful enclosed dog park areas, and the nicest, CLEANEST restrooms/showers we have seen in many parks. We found the office personnel to be very cordial and helpful when visiting with them during check-in...a credit to the organization. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Motorhome.

A definite must-see when visiting the Shreveport/Bossier City area is the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum, with its wonderful dioramas and exhibits. We really enjoyed the few hours we spent reading about Louisiana history.

We have stayed here before. Our site, #23, was gravel and very unlevel. There was a little patio area with a table and chairs. The WiFi was good as was the cable TV. There are nice tall trees. A playground for the children and an agility area for the 4 legged members of the family. We were only there for one night and did not use any of the facilities. We would stay there again when in the area. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Great camp site. The bathroom is clean and warm! The staff is helpful.

I wish I could have stayed longer. The store is very useful for groceries and rv supplies. This place is well planned, organized and run.

The only thing I could think of is to maybe add a gate to the campground. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Could not ask for more for our overnight stay! Level concrete pad and patio, good water pressure, quiet environment, fenced dog area even had some agility equipment. Hot coffee in the office, pleasant personnel, clean bathroom had private shower compartments and lots of hot water. Wal-Mart and Cracker Barrel and other shopping a mile away. Easy access, close to I-20. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Motorhome.

When coming in from I-20 the KOA sign is difficult to see because of overhanging trees on the property before it. Pay attention to your mileage and you will be fine.

This is a nice, clean, friendly and well run RV park located conveniently on the west side of Shreveport near I-20. The park is a little over a quarter mile from the interstate, so there is some detectable road noise, but it pretty much is just low background noise. It is near stores and other urban conveniences, but in a wooded area that is not yet developed to a great extent. We had no problem with satellite reception. My one gripe is the location of a metal post close to the entrance to my pull through site which seemed to serve no useful purpose other than to potentially damage trailers trying to get into the site. I had to drive over a curb due to the tight turn and still came within 2 feet of the post with my trailer. This was not typical of other sites in the park. The staff was friendly and helpful. We asked to stay a little past the posted checkout time due to a late check in time and short drive to our next destination. We were accommodated courteously. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The last time we were here 3 years ago the current owners had just taken over and had a lot of work to do on this place. It appears that they have improved the interior roads and put in more cement pads and patios. Site composition varies between gravel and cement pads. Much of the park is heavily treed, so satellite reception may be a problem. There is an area behind the office that has about 25 FHU sites. Most are pull through but half a dozen are back-ins along the east edge of the back section. The bulk of the sites is in front of the office. They are mostly pull through with about 10 back in sites on the east edge of this area. Again, I believe all sites are FHU. The park was maybe half full with most of those being extended stay. Tall trees may create problems with satellite reception, they are some satellite friendly sites in the middle. There are also some camping cabins and a tenting area. There is a nice pool, some newer looking playground equipment, and an fenced dog park. The large exercise building had a sign saying closed due to insurance. The cable TV is extensive (70+ channels including Comedy Central) so we did not even bother with trying to get satellite. This BIG problem (and reason for the low rating) was that we asked for and were given a site supposedly with cable TV. After spending 45 minutes trying different cable, system arrangement, and TVs, a park employee walked over and told me that the cable did not work at that site. I ended up hooking up to the neighboring site but still had to move the RV to get close enough to reach the cable plug. I got nothing for this 2 hour waste of my time. If this guy knew about no working cable at this site, why didn't the office??? Unfortunately, this park (like many KOAs) uses the infamous Tengo as their internet provider. It did, however, work OK for us. As is typical in this area, I saw no recycling. While the woman in the office seemed friendly, here ineptitude cost me 2 hours. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Just a one night stay on our way home. The lady who checked us in was very nice, gave us numbers for local pizza deliveries since we didn't want to unhook the toad. Our site was not level the front wheels were off the ground, yet for one night we tolerated. The dog park is a good feature, there is a pool which we didn't use.
