Right on the Mississippi across from Natchez. Gravel and grass sites. Cable and great wifi, we streamed netflix with it. 1 minute walk to sit on the levee and watch the river tugs, beautiful. We want to return and stay here for the yearly balloon races. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shuttle to and from the 2 Natchez casinos.

Local civics leader runs this park, met us upon arriving. It is a gorgeous tract of land on the banks of the Mississippi leased from the city of Vidalia, just across from Natchez. Sites on the southern half are all pull-thrus arrayed in three long rows. Gravel driveways, but concrete pads make it suitable in wet weather (paving would render it perfect). There is a broad expanse of lush grass between each site, large trees shade the lawn between the park and the river. The city has put in a walking path along the bank -- Manager says a round trip is one and half miles -- and he hopes it eventually is lengthened to provide better flood control.

The only difficulty we experienced was one common to this era of wireless: our Internet connection was prone to disconnects, we had to resort to using iPhones as hotspots instead.

The pads are 60 feet, which meant our 65' combo length spilled over just a little. People were parking trailers on the bordering grass behind the back row, as we did with our car. That might be problematic with a full park, but we were here just prior to New Years Eve, and the park had about 15% occupancy. That alone made it one of the most scenic parks I've ever visited. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Use website directions! Roads in are good, but don't follow GPS. Sites are gravel and level. Park is on the Mississippi, and there is a river walk. Grounds are clean, and open with mature trees. Staff is friendly! Natchez Mississippi is across bridge, but didn't get time to check out. We will stay here again, and for more then one night. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

As you come from Natchez, use left lane on bridge and take the first left as you leave the bridge continuing for a mile to park entrance on left. The access road we found newly paved but interior roads are gravel. Our site was spacious, pull thru concrete facing the Mississippi River, strong utilities, quiet except for river barge traffic, friendly staff, pool and hot tub. Overall, a good experience and is definitely big rig friendly. Will return. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Natchez downtown is five minutes from park. Great walking path along Mississippi River 50 feet from sites.

Nice waterfront park along the Mississippi. The roads are gravel with most of the sites paved and level. Only 9 cable channels but we usually don't have time to watch much TV when we are only stopping for the night. The bathrooms have shower, toilet, and sink all in one room. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

We have been here several times in the past. Rate is with Passport America. We prefer the sites on the south side of the park which has mostly level, cement, pull-through, full hookup sites with limited cable TV. These sites are fairly long and wide. Unlike the north side sites, most of the south side sites are satellite friendly. They still advertise that their WiFi network is available only in or near the office. The main building has an office, a store, a large open area with a TV and places to use your computer, a laundry with modern machines, and some individual bathrooms with entry doors on the south side of the building. The small pool is in an attractive area on the east side of the building. We have used it in the past, but the air temperature was too cool this time. From the north end of the park you can take the great paved walkway about a mile north and under the Highway 84 bridge over the Mississippi. This path has benches, lights, and informational signage. Typical of this region, I saw no sign of any recycling. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice waterfront park on the Mississippi. Large, grassy, level sites with picnic tables (at sites with concrete pads only) and trees. Extremely helpful, friendly staff who are all about customer service - what a treat! I was especially impressed with the park store - well stocked with many items you tend to have forgotten or need in a pinch. Park is very well-located to go across the bridge to Natchez, which is a wonderful old town full of Antebellum mansions and tours. Only negative thing I'd say is that the gravel roads throughout the park have a LOT of potholes. Otherwise the whole place is extremely well-maintained. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Must go to Natchez and take a horse-drawn carriage tour (about 40 minutes, start at corner of Canal and State) and eat at the Magnolia Grill - one of the best meals we've ever had!

Very nice place for a overnight stay. Concrete pads were level, clean bathroom and shower facilities and a strong wi-fi signal.

It was our stopover on our trip to Florida and we're pleased with how nice it turned out. They have a pool, but we never used it, but it appeared to be clean and maintained. Office people were friendly.

We made reservations, but in all likelihood, you could probably just drop in and find a place to stay. We were there on a Friday night so I don't know what the rest of the week is like. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

People get up and moving early to continue on with their trip, so if you want to sleep in late, there should be plenty of sites away from the pack.

Gravel interior roads with some minor potholes, level concrete pads, picnic tables. Beautiful view of Mississippi river on river side of levee. Lots of grass and trees. Walking path along the levee. Good wifi. Only campground we have ever stayed where folks walk right through your campground. Easy commute to Natchez and surrounding sites. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park right on the Mississippi River across from Natchez, MS, with several mature trees for shade but still open enough for satellite reception. Just ask for the type of site you need and they will accommodate you. I can't remember exactly what we paid, but we got a Passport America rate for Thursday night and Escapees for Friday and Saturday nights. The restrooms were private, i.e., a toilet, sink and shower in each separate room and were clean. My only negative comment about this park would be the extremely dusty roads throughout the park (way more dirt than gravel). I would definitely stay here again if coming back to the Natchez area. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It is only a short drive across the bridge to Natchez, MS, to tour the antebellum homes there. Go to the visitor center just past the bridge for tickets. I bought tickets to see all nine, but I only had time to tour six of them in the one day I had allotted. I would recommend that you allow a minimum of two days (three is better) to tour the homes. They are beautiful!

This was our first stop on a 3-4 month retirement trip, and if all the parks are like this one, we'll be very happy campers! The staff is very courteous and worked hard to find the best spot for us with a beautiful view of the Mississippi. They also introduced Passport America to us, which earned us a great discount here and along the way at other campgrounds. The park is extremely clean, easily accessible, and the grounds well manicured. The only improvement we would suggest is to pave the roadways in the park. They are loose gravel/rock roads, and there are some potholes. We have bicycles and love to ride, but it's difficult to maneuver throughout the park. But we would definitely recommend this park to others and would return if the opportunity arises for us. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Wake up early and watch the sun rise over the Mississippi River . . . an awesome sight!

Overall, OK place to park to see Natchez, but nothing in Vidalia to see/do. Positives: plenty of places to walk the dogs both paved and grass, nice view of the Mississippi River, relatively level, concrete site, and seemed safe. Negatives: cable is SD (snowy definition - in other words "pitiful"), Wi-Fi was hit or miss at our site, noisy at night from chemical plant nearby, very dusty gravel roads while driving into/out of park, location to park is tricky because actually need to be on MLK Street vice the Park's actual address to get there, and neighborhood you drive through to get to the park is unsavory. The staff were nice and all the basic hookups worked fine. I think this is probably the best place to stay while visiting Natchez, so I'd stay again, but there is room for improvement at this campground. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Natchez is going through some tough economic times and downtown is really dead at night during the week. Keep your head on a swivel if you go down there. Still some good places to eat, there's a couple of Casinos if you like that and, of course, there are the old homes to visit.

Nice park. Lots of workampers. They have propane on site. Our coach faces the river so we could watch the boats and the bridge was pretty lit up at night. Quiet. We didn't use the laundry but could see it was very clean and nice front loading machines. We would go back again. Sales tax is high. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy to get to Natchez to sightsee.

Nice campground, but we stayed during balloon festival. Two nights at $60, one night at $19 (Passport America) one night at $35 (Good Sam rate). Taxes are high, $27. Cable TV is OK at best. Park is actually located on Dr. MLK Drive, not Riverview as posted on website. Caused a little bit of confusion with GPS. We would stay here again. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

This is probably the best park to visit the Natchez area. It is fairly easy to get in and out. Our site was level. Be aware not all sites have concrete pads, some are grass. I downgraded for the following reasons. No WiFi, no cable, and we had to be careful walking the dogs due to stickers and fire ants. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.
