Overall Rating:

We were only spending the night on our way home. Wanted to check out Natchez and this park was very convenient. Our site was concrete and level. It was a cold February night so we didn't use the pool or hot tub. Enjoyed watching the river traffic. Disappointed there was no electrical plug in the bathroom. Wi-Fi was ok. We camp in an A-liner camper. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Internal roads are gravel, sites have concrete pads, mostly level (needed one leveling board) and most are pull-throughs, facilities worked well, site was satellite friendly. Staff were friendly, park WiFi is free/unsecured and worked very well. T-Mobile cell service was poor, Verizon was good. The park was quiet. We stayed 3 nights, 1 night at the PA rate, 2 with the Good Sam discount. We would stay here again. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground located on the Mississippi River but you really don't see the river from your site. There is a nice 1.5 mile walking trail that runs along side the river that you can access from the park. WiFi in the park worked well and we had a decent AT&T cell service in the park. Sites are close but there is a mixture of concrete pads and grass sites next to each other. When we were there the park was almost empty so everyone was on concrete pads. We were there for only 3 nights so that we did not explore the area. Natchez MS is across the river from Vidalia and is the bigger of the two cities. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful setting right on the Mississippi River. No bad spots though there is distance between the front row and the river. There is an awesome walkway that runs right along the river that probably is about a mile and a half for exercise or just to stroll and enjoy the view. Dog friendly and during business hours there is a store if you need anything for your RV. Laundry machines available 24 hours. I would definitely recommend this park. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Use website directions! Roads in are good, but don't follow GPS. Easy in and out for big rigs with tow. We always have stayed on the south side, and the sites are either concrete or grass but level. Grounds are clean, and open with mature trees. No dog park, but plenty of areas to walk dogs. Staff is friendly! Great laundry room, with large load washers and dryers. They have a pool and hot tub. Small store, but there is a Walmart close by. We have a 40ft MH plus tow and don't have to unhook for an overnight stay. Park is on the Mississippi, and there is a paved river walk. Natchez Mississippi is across the bridge, and a must visit to the old downtown. No restaurants on site, but some close by in Vidalia or Natchez. We have stayed here multiple times and one of our favorite parks. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

This was our first stay here - sites on the west bank of the Mississippi, many with a good view of the river. Sites were long, and many have concrete pads. there was generous spacing between the sites. There is a lovely paved riverwalk fronting the property - a great place for a walk or bike ride. There was a daily effort to keep the dust down by spraying the gravel roads - much appreciated!
Easy access to Natchez and great sightseeing opportunities. We would stay here again, for sure! We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

A one night stay at the end of a very long, tiring day. River View was the highlight of the day! The lady at check in was very helpful and courteous, even though we arrived late. She was helpful in telling us about discounts available. Beautiful setting on the Mississippi River. Spacious and clean. We will return when we have more time to stay! Well located, clean, full-service RV park right on the banks of the Mississippi River across the river from Natchez, MS. Great spot to stay while exploring all that Natchez has to offer. Park had nice swimming pool/laundry area that we saw, but did not use. We had w/s/e and good TV service with just our antenna. Sites were level and paved with small amount of grass. Minimum shade available which was fine in October, but would be hot in summer. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Tour of nearby Frogmire Plantation is highly recommended. Solid information about life today and in the past on an 1800 acre modern cotton plantation. Tour provided by the owner's wife, a real expert on the history of the plantation and the role of slavery in its past.

Also, be sure to have lunch at the Country Store in nearby Lohrman, MS. Amazing fried chicken and authentic Southern cooking.

All good except:

1. Made phone res. night before - 2 nights. Gave PA and Good Sam numbers, credit card, etc. Got email confirm.

At Check in- told they had res for only one night. Asked for PA and Goo Sam numbers although given at phone reservation. Did not give site map.

2. Had to ask for cable channel listing which they had to print off a computer file. Only 10 channels.

3. At site - no cable connection. Back to office. Said no cable at section assigned so I had to move. Even though they had to print and gave me cable channel listing, never said no cable at site assigned.

4. Moved to new site. Cable reception so bad (snow) only 2-3 were workable - no networks. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice RV park. The sites are long and level and on cement pads. There's a nice picnic table at each site, and the grounds are well-kept. The building in which the office is located also has a lounge area with a tv and a book/video exchange, a gift shop, the laundry, and the restrooms/showers. That's also where the pool and hot tub are located. Everything is clean and the people are very nice. The laundry has two double-size washers and a triple-size washer and four large dryers. The double-size washers are $2.50 and the dryers are $0.25 for 10 minutes. I did what normally would have been 2 wash loads for $3.75. We walked along the riverwalk and watched the boats going up and down the Mississippi River. We really enjoyed our stay here. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cajun Specialties Meats & Seafood at 4321 Carter Street (Rt. 84) has good meat at reasonable prices; some are even lower than the grocery stores. It is family owned and operated, and the people in there are very friendly and helpful.

Bowie's Tavern at 100 Main St in Natchez has fantastic lemon-pepper wings.

My 10/15 review gives a detailed description of the park and its' facilities and amenities. The park might have been 30% full with most of those being long term customers. As usual, we had a level, concrete, pull through, FHU site on the south side of the park. When I asked the woman in the office about the cable and antenna TV her answer was, at best, confusing. Folks working in the office should know about things like TV coverage. The cable TV is about than 10 channels and there is some over the air TV but that takes some playing around with your antenna. Most south side sites are satellite friendly. I was told that the Wi-FI was down on the south side of the park but it was being worked on. You could bring your laptop to the office to get the internet. The individual bathrooms were clean and we were able to enjoy the pool. Typical of this area, I did not see any recycling. The cement path north along the river is pleasant and informative. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed a Saturday evening / Sunday morning here while passing through the area. The park is a very decent RV park with easy access, full hookups (all utilities work), level sites (most are concrete, some gravel, and a few grass), and a nice pool overlooking the Mighty Mississippi. I wouldn't call it a resort, but it was a good value and an easy overnight stop. This park is comparable to Tom Sawyer's on the river in West Memphis. We will certainly return when passing through the Vidalia / Natchez area. For those interested in WiFi, I pulled 7.68 down / 0.84 up on the free park Internet. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

We only stayed in this RV park for 1 night on our way to the Natchez Trace Parkway. This is a clean and well maintained park. The pool was clean and a welcome relief on a very hot day. It was an interesting 1 mile walk along the Mississippi to go to the Vidalia welcome center which is located under the bridge. Our campsite was at the farthest point from the office so I suspect that is why the WIFI didn't work very well. We did not use the restrooms or showers but they looked clean. The roads in the park are mostly gravel and dirt so they were bumpy and not easy to walk on. The sites are paved and level and seemed large enough for any size RV. All of the hookups worked well. I would recommend this RV park to anyone visiting Natchez or the parkway. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Natchez Parkway is full of history and beautiful scenery. Most of the pull offs are RV accessible but it is best to check at the visitors center to get a list of the few that are not RV accessible. If you plan to stop and enjoy the history and the scenery you should plan at least 3 days to travel the entire 444 miles.
