We enjoyed a Saturday evening / Sunday morning here while passing through the area. The park is a very decent RV park with easy access, full hookups (all utilities work), level sites (most are concrete, some gravel, and a few grass), and a nice pool overlooking the Mighty Mississippi. I wouldn't call it a resort, but it was a good value and an easy overnight stop. This park is comparable to Tom Sawyer's on the river in West Memphis. We will certainly return when passing through the Vidalia / Natchez area. For those interested in WiFi, I pulled 7.68 down / 0.84 up on the free park Internet. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed in this RV park for 1 night on our way to the Natchez Trace Parkway. This is a clean and well maintained park. The pool was clean and a welcome relief on a very hot day. It was an interesting 1 mile walk along the Mississippi to go to the Vidalia welcome center which is located under the bridge. Our campsite was at the farthest point from the office so I suspect that is why the WIFI didn't work very well. We did not use the restrooms or showers but they looked clean. The roads in the park are mostly gravel and dirt so they were bumpy and not easy to walk on. The sites are paved and level and seemed large enough for any size RV. All of the hookups worked well. I would recommend this RV park to anyone visiting Natchez or the parkway. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Natchez Parkway is full of history and beautiful scenery. Most of the pull offs are RV accessible but it is best to check at the visitors center to get a list of the few that are not RV accessible. If you plan to stop and enjoy the history and the scenery you should plan at least 3 days to travel the entire 444 miles.

Beautiful location right on the Mississippi River, fun to watch the barges go by and on the last day saw a paddle boat. The sites are spacious with easy hook-ups. The wifi was good and the satellite worked. A very short drive to Natchez which has an interesting history with beautiful old Antebellum mansions. The roads in is rock with a white dust that made for a lot of dust. We would come back to this park if in the area. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Natchez is a town that time has passed it by, if it where closer to an interstate hi way it would be much more touristy. But it has a charmy run down appeal. The Antebellum Mansions are wonderful to visit. We also drove the Natchez trace and visited Grand Gulf State Park long drive but was very interesting. Got a good feel for small southern towns. Loved the area.

This is the first RV park I have stayed at where they tell you "just put your trash out at the end of your RV by 9:00 am and we will pick it up." Wifi was excellent, and included in the price. Views of the river and the barge traffic were great. Laundry was not so great; three washers for a huge park, and the price was $2.50 a load. Almost at the foot of the bridge so access across the river to Natchez is quick and easy. Enjoyed it here, but not sure the price is justified. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Nice RV park right on the river, we had a great site way down on the south end with a front row view of the river. WIFI was great, not too many TV stations, though. Easy to get to Natchez from the RV park. The tourist information center is right over the bridge to the left. Make sure to follow their directions to the park, our GPS was incorrect. The price reflects one night Passport America rate. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Great location on the Mississippi River. You can watch the barges go by or walk by the riverside. Friendly staff, good Wi-Fi, no cable was a surprise and not too many over the air channels. Visiting Natchez is what it is all about. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Sites are mostly long level pull-thru, ours was first row facing the Mississippi River. All utilities worked fine. The whole area was clean and grass mowed. There is a river walk along the river; about a mile long. Dark and quiet at night. Would stay here if ever in the area. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is quite a bit of barge river traffic, which I enjoyed watching. The river walk in Natchez is bi-level, upper and lower, is a nice walk. There are a couple of museum up the road in Ferriday. The one in town is the Jerry Lee Lewis, Jimmy Swaggart and Mickey Gilly, open Wednesday through Saturday. Out of town is an outdoor cotton plantation tour. (Frogmore).

You can use Passport America for one day only. Long pull through sites right on the Mississippi River. This is a great base to see the town of Natchez and the lovely mansions. The park is very clean and well maintained. Lot spacing is nearby with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface is a concrete pad and features a picnic table. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We took a narrated horse and buggy ride that was great. We loved seeing Longwood Mansion and learning about the history. The visitor's center has a good movie and they sell tickets to the homes there or you can buy them at the home itself.

Use website directions! Roads in are good, but don't follow GPS. Easy in and out for big rigs with tow. We always have stayed on the south side, and the sites are either concrete or grass but level. Grounds are clean, and open with mature trees. No dog park, but plenty of areas to walk dogs. Staff is friendly! Great laundry room, with large load washers and dryers. They have a pool and hot tub. Park is on the Mississippi, and there is a paved river walk. Natchez Mississippi is across the bridge, and a must visit to the old downtown. No restaurants on site, but some close by in Vidalia or Natchez. We have stayed here multiple times and one of our favorite parks. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice, clean park with pull through concrete pad sites overlooking the Mississippi River. Easy access but as other said - follow their directions, turning just after bridge (or before). Friendly staff. Nice to have cable and husband enjoyed pool, even though "hot tub" was more swimming pool temperature. Con - asked if I wanted 30 or 50 amp, answered could use either but 50 is always nice, then rang up the bill with $3/night extra for 50 amp without saying anything. (Will always ask in future), also PassPort Am is only good for 1 night. Very convenient for visiting Natches and fun to watch barges and tugs on river. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park along river. We had nice view of barge traffic going by.

Level sites, good utilities.

Wonderful walkway along the river for 2 miles. Took a nice morning run.

Nice grassy area for the dog to run around (on leash of coarse.)

Nice staff. Nice sitting area with TV, books, and puzzles. Nice laundry room. Didn't use showers.

Would staff here again, maybe for a few days. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground along the river, so you have a good view of the substantial the river traffic. The campground has a wide entrance, gravel roads and concrete and gravel pads, which are a little narrow. There are small grassy areas between sites. There are a few tall trees, but we had no satellite issues. The wifi is adequate. The campground is convenient to the sites in Natchez and to stores in Vadalia. We did not use any of the amenities of the park. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice park located along the Mississippi River, just across the bridge from Natchez, MS. Rate reflects an average over 6 nights. One night discount with Passport America, the rest with Good Sam's 10%. Roadway into the park is paved, but interior roads are gravel. Sites are level with a mix of paved slab and grass; they weren't using the grass sites during our February stay. Small store and book exchange in the office building. Restrooms appeared clean as did the laundry room. All utilities worked well as did our Verizon cell and MiFi. As another reviewer noted, do be in the left lane coming across the bridge from Natchez. Take the first left after the bridge. Stay on the main road to the park entrance. Our Rand GPS wanted us to turn off before the park; this puts you on the levy road, you don't want to do this in your rig! The pool and hot tub were open; they will heat up the hot tub on request. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the place to stay when visiting Natchez, MS and exploring the southern end of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Treat yourself to coffee drinks at Steampunk Coffee Roasters (114 High Street) and/or donuts or burgers at The Donut Shop (501 John R. Junkin Dr.).
