We were here for 3 nights and had been here once before a few years ago. Right by the Mississippi River but you have to walk down to the river to get any views. Site was a pull through and fairly level. Water pressure was good and so was electric voltage. Only bad thing is the 6 or 7 speed bumps you have to deal with to and from your site if you are way down on the end like we were. I had made the reservation 4 days earlier and when I called to make it they acted like they only had 2 sites to choose from and while we were there for the 3 nights there were at least 20 sites that were never occupied, go figure. It is a pretty good park but not in the good part of town. It seemed safe enough though. Wifi was hit and miss. I had to park the truck parallel to the street as the site was not long enough to park in it. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Good location near Natchez, MS. You are able to see the Mississippi River from your RV however the river traffic was minimal. Over the Air TV was not great as wasn't able to get all of the majors (mostly FOX). We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Natchez very interesting with touring the antebellum mansions. Frogmore Plantation was great in teaching about Cotton and the civil war. Lots to learn about the civil war at both the plantation and the mansions. Stanton Hall was our favorite mansion.

Full hook-ups, concrete pads for every other site. On west bank of Mississippi. Cable TV was poor. Partial flooding in the park with River at flood stage. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park, right on the river with great walking paths along the bank of the Mississippi. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with great suggestions for restaurants in Natchez. Our site had a long concrete pad and was deemed "the best in the park" by the owner, and it was a good one with an unobstructed view of the river. Good access into Natchez, but be sure to use the address 800 MLK Ave if using GPS to get to the park. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Large, level park with mix of shade, partial shade and no shade sites. Some with concrete pads and some with grass. Interior roads are gravel. Full hook-ups. Very clean laundry. Valet trash pickup each morning. The site I was in on the south side of the office was close to the office where I got very good, free wifi. Price of $35.50 was average for three nights, with tax, of standard rate of $39.95. First night ½ price with Passport America, 2nd and 3rd nights were 10% off with GS. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Use 800 Martin Luther King instead of GPS directions. Convenient for visiting Natchez. The Natchez Visitors Bureau offers multi-hour parking, but it is slanted.

I have never seen tents here, so I will say this is an RV park, not a campground. We have been here numerous times over the years and this park continues to be good with a few flaws. We had a FHU, pull through site on the south side of the park. The north side of the park is heavily treed. The cable TV is still very limited, but most sites on this side of the park are satellite friendly. Unlike our last visit, the Wi-Fi was OK for our minimal (e-mail and web browsing) needs. The pool is small, but nice. The laundry has newer machines, but is still very expensive. There are individual bathrooms are on the south side of the building and accessed from the outside. As is typical for the region, I saw no sign of recycling. The best thing about this park is the access to the great walkway along the river. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Hard time rating this one. Really more like 3.5 stars. We booked River View RV Park as the first overnight to tour the Natchez Trace. It was conveniently located and was a perfect stop being so close to Natchez and the beginning of the Trace. We were there end of May, 2017 and it was very quiet. Not many other campers at all. We drive a 25' motorhome and were given a site in the older section with full hookups and picnic table. It was limestone, back-in (Site #3), no trees and fairly level. Not super fancy, but certainly adequate and we really didn't have any complaints. There are other areas of the park where it appears there are work-campers and/or full-timers. There is also a newer section, that was more populated with campers, that had concrete slabs. Had we been there any longer, I would have preferred that section. Admittedly, my impression of this park likely has a lot to do with being in the older section. There was a nice pool that a family was enjoying. The clubhouse was a nice place to chill and read and the staff was friendly. We took a nice walk, with our 2 dogs, up the path along the river and it was clear there had been some flooding from the recent heavy rains. That wasn't an issue when we were there as the water had receded, but could be an explanation for the somewhat unkempt appearance of the section we were placed in. The river view was/is a bonus. The bathrooms were clean. I posted a photo of us and the houseboat a couple spaces over. I would stay here again if ever passing through, but would likely look for something with more amenities if we had kids with us or if we were planning on staying a few days. Certainly a fine, safe place to spend the night, and would stay here again for that purpose. We paid $19 with our Passport discount and can not complain about that great rate/value! We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

We actually stayed here 3 times within about 6-8 weeks. Nice park along the Mississippi River for barge watching. Staff was great, reservations, check-in, grounds, etc. really like how they have concrete pads on some of the sites and some grass so if they aren't crowded you will have large grass area. Gravel roads, wifi that works fairly well. Be sure to eat at Roux 61 and Mammy's Cupboard. Relaxing park. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Park is right on the Mississippi River and close to Natchez MS. A nice park with lots of spaces most with cement pads. Do not bother with asking for cable. They have it but it works on only a couple of channels and those are full of snow. Was told that frequent floading have damage cable wires. We used OTA TV. The wifi worked okay but was slow. Sites are a little close but give enough grass to sit outside. Not many trees for shade and our spot got full afternoon sun just below the awning. Also had to pay extra for 50 amp service which you need to run ac and other heavy electric users like blow dryers and microwaves at the same time. Would probably stay again due to location. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This a very nice park on the Mississippi River. The spaces alternate between grass and concrete and the staff keeps everyone spaced out, which is nice. I would imagine things would be closer when it is more crowded. Staff was friendly and helpful. WiFi was pretty good. Good ATT and easy satellite setup. Some sites may have had a few more trees which would have presented a problem. Sewer was placed way forward of w/e and if you were staying for a long period you would need a LONG sewer hose. We were here only for two days so just waited until we left, pulled forward and dumped. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Natchez Historic centre and info centre across the bridge. More to do there, the old mansions were lovely. Proximity to Natchez Trace was the only reason we stopped. Nothing here to be outstanding, a Walmart would have been just as nice for the price.

Nice park along the Mississippi River. Clean welcoming office, pool & hot tub, nice sites. Every other site has a concrete pad with a grass site in between. It appeared that they fill the concrete pad sites first then fill in with the grass sites. When we were there mid-week in April, most concrete pads were taken. Without a reservation, we were able to get a riverside site with a concrete pad. Walk or bike the Riverwalk paved trail along the river. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.
