This large park is on the west side of the Mississippi River and across the river from Natchez, MS. It features wide, level sites in two large areas. Large shade trees, ample lawn area, and a comfortable riverwalk separate the sites from the river. There is a nice pool and clubhouse area adjoining the office. The opportunity to use the riverwalk and observe tugboat/barge traffics was great. The park is very well maintained (mowing, maintenance, etc.) Staff was helpful. Easy to drive across the bridge to all the sights and restaurants in Natchez. We would certainly stay here again. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

We were in the older section which has fewer sites. When I made the reservation I was asked where I wanted to be and requested a shade tree. We were on the far end of the row in site 27 and there was no shade tree anywhere near our site. The site was front row, level and long and we had a great view of the barges going up and down the Mississippi. The laundry room is nice but very, very expensive at $3.50 to wash in a triple load machine which only had the capacity of an extra large home washer or $2.50 for a double load machine which was even smaller. The machines rejected the quartesr 3 or 4 times before it accepted it so it took forever to get them started. The lady at the desk came in and stuck a paper clip in the slot to see if there was a problem but there was none. We look forward to a return visit to this park. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great dining across the river in Natchez at Roux 61 for dinner and Mama's Cupboard for a wonderful lunch with homemade desserts (no credit cards). We tried lunch at Cotton Alley Cafe after reading good reviews on TripAdvisor but the lunch was expensive and very disappointing especially the dessert- pecan pie that looked like a boxed pie with thick crust and the vanilla ice cream must have been in the freezer for months because it was all ice crystals.

Nice pool. Awesome river walk. Very clean campground. Only negative is campground allows employees to bring their family and friends to the pool. They follow their own rules like smoking, horseplay and there are young children in the hot tub. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Natchez visitor center nearby. The lower portion of the Natchez Trace has lots of low hanging branches, making it tough for larger RV. The Trace north of Tupelo was easy to drive with larger RV

Overall Rating:

This is the fourth time we have stayed at this park. Staff is great, park improvements are in progress: all sites are either very level concrete pads or grass - the park is actively installing more concrete pads (previously grass). Great views of the Mississippi River. Lots to do in Natchez (just across the river). Today is the 4th of July and we can watch the fireworks from the levy adjacent to the park. Roads are gravel, but staff sprays water to keep dust down.

Great pool area and playground for kids. No dog park, but LOTS of open space. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Easy 5 minute drive into Natchez. Had a Prime site (first row from the river). Can't see the river from campsite due to a berm, bush growth, and a few trees, so save the $5 and take the next row. Nice walkway along the river on the berm. Felt safe walking even at night. Great place to ride bikes. We took our chairs and enjoyed sitting on the walkway in the evenings and just enjoying the river. Level cement site, perfect utilities. Would for sure stay here again. We stayed here after traveling the Natchez Trace Parkway from Clinton, MS. This is a very large RV park and the facilities were excellent. There is highway construction in the area and the entry and exit from the main highway is a challenge. We would stay here again when in the area. Tips for other Campers:

Forks of the Road in Natchez is the location of the 2nd largest slave market in the US. It's just empty ground now with a few informational signs and a closed business across the street. But the power of the place is overwhelming.

I agree with previous reviewers except for us the WiFi worked OK. We were in site 15 with is full shade which we liked because the weather was starting to get warm. I personally don't think getting a site right next to the river is worth the extra money. There is a big berm which blocks the view. The only complaint is the bugs. Couldn't enjoy being outside. Would probability stay there again. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

We have been here several times in the past and know what to expect here. We are usually satisfied with the facilities and amenities except for the Wi-Fi. It is often only dependable in the office. The only major change I have noticed is that their website no longer indicates that there is cable TV. In the past it was limited and often had poor reception. As usual we used our satellite - most sites on the south end of the park are satellite friendly. The pool area and individual bathrooms are above average. I still find the laundry to be expensive. Our FHU, cement pad, level site was roomy. Typical of the area, I saw no recycling. Others have mentioned the paved walkway along the river bank north to the visiter center. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

As others have said, right on Mississippi River, so get the front row! We had a concrete pad, but others had grass. Interior roads are gravel with ridiculous speed bumps so take it slow. Space between sites was adequate. River at flood stage so everything pretty soggy but the concrete path that runs right along the river was wonderful for walking with the dogs. The people in the office were very nice and registration was fast as we had prepaid. The clubhouse is really nice with comfortable places to sit. Pool looked good, didn't use. Laundry area very nice. We would definitely stay again as very convenient to Natchez. My major complaint is the wifi. We were not able to get any reception the entire three days we stayed. "Unable to join network". I spoke to the office at least 3 times about it as it was obviously something having to do with the repeater on the south end because I had no problems getting on the network when in the office area. It would have been nice if they had taken care of the issue. Also, take note that their directions about turning right at the light where the mobil station is on the left should say the Shell station. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

The campground is right on the river. Almost all spaces are long pull throughs that face the river. Watching the traffic is very interesting. 3 nights we had a long pull through and the 4th and 5th night (we decided to stay longer) we had to switch to one of the few short back in sites. Pads are concrete under the motorhome and gravel elsewhere. Pads are narrow so if it rains you are likely walking in water and mud. This is an excellent campground and if we are ever in the area it's where we'll stay. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Site 41 is a long pull through with a good view in the first tier from the river. Site 9 is a short back in in the second tier from the river. We had an excellent meal at Roux61, which is on rt 61 just south of the city center. We enjoyed Longwood mansion. We were not overly impressed with Frogmore Plantation.

Beautiful campground. Utilities worked fine. Nice spacing between lots. Internet was iffy but we were far from the office. Pool and hot tub area looked very clean. We had a package delivered while there and the office called us as soon as it came. The folks in the office were great! This campground has a nice view of the Mississippi River. If back in the area we would definitely stay here again. One thing to note was while we were there barges were being loaded with lime and as a result we had white powdery dust on truck and camper. Other campers told us that is the first time that had been an issue and it is certainly not anything the campground can control. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very, very nice park! It is eye pleasing, comfortable and quiet. There is plenty of room between the sites and the grounds are kept up beautifully. Each site has a large concrete pad and long enough for big rigs and their tow (towed) vehicle. All sites are full hook up. Between the first row (closest to the Mississippi River) of RV's and the river there is about 300 to 500 feet of grassy lawn then a concrete walkway along the river's edge. The park is almost entirely pull throughs with only about 4 back in sites. Utilities worked fine. One morning the water pressure was very low. I called the office and they said the town was flushing the water system. Within a 1/2 hour the pressure was back to normal. The wifi was slow due to bandwidth and the roads were gravel. Those 2 things are our only complaints and the only reason this park didn't get a 10. We would highly recommend this park and would come back anytime.
