Stayed here for an overnight stay. FHU and concrete site with table and chairs. WIFI worked great and great cable TV. Very quiet stay. Owner very nice and personal. Ask my husband if he needed any help with loading up to leave and had a very nice conversation with him. Yes he has long term workers living there but I can honestly say I never heard a peep out of them. They are separated away from from the other campers. Great place to spend a relaxing night off the road! If coming thru I-10 in Lake Charles please stay here... will not be disappointed! We will definitely stay here again when going to Texas! Thank you! We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

We camped here in late January. Temp this morning was 48. Located 4-5 miles from interstate 10. At exit, first saw a lot of refinery tanks, and smell of gas. That disappeared very soon.

Camp is clean, well maintained. Concrete pad and patio. Patio had table with two chairs. Appears to be many seasonal campers. Pull-thru sites are many. Roads all paved, grass neat. Sign at office stated not keeping regular hours, but a phone call, and a quick response. Disconnected toad, easier to pull into site. Car parked in front of MH, no room behind.

Our site was near road, but noise level was easily bearable. Would stop here again for a night or two when in this area. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here two nights. Very clean, large concrete pull thru sites. Site was level with good hook ups. Cable tv and wifi included. Owner is on-site, very friendly and helpful. No amenities like a pool. However, we prefer the basic parks. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice RV park near Lake Charles. There were two rows of pull through sites and a row of back in sites along the edge of the park. All pull through sites had a cement pad for the RV and car and a cement patio with outdoor furniture. The rest was grass. The park had great open spaces with lawns and mature oak and pine trees. It was very attractive. The owner lives in a house on site and is very helpful. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The park was totally full and no one left or came the three days we were there. We reserved three or four months ahead which I suspect would be necessary a lot of the time. The owner did say he tries to keep three or four pull through sites for short term stays. We had a great time there and would return. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice RV park, roads easy to get around and sites are level with good services. There is a small dog park but some big fields where you could walk/run dogs. The park is very clean, extremely well maintained with a friendly and helpful owner who lives on site. We were lucky to get a spot here, so it's wise to make a reservation in advance. This park is a real gem. It is exceptionally well maintained and spotless. The sites are level concrete with adjoining patios. Plenty of manicured lawn and plantings. It is obvious that the owner takes pride in this excellent facility. Access from I-10 is quick and direct.

Most of the sites are occupied by long term occupants with some sites for transients like us. Most sites are pull through as described. It is clear that there is a high standard for long term occupancy as all the sites seem to be occupied by high quality units. I suspect that many oil field and chemical plant workers use the park as a home while on assignment nearby.

All that being said, we would definitely stay here again short or long term. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, but lots and lots of permanent/workers, about 90%. Park sets across from a ball diamond, so there was noise from that and lots and lots of traffic noise. So much traffic it was hard to get out of the park. Nicest showers I have been in for awhile. No one in the office, so you have to call to get someone to help you. There was a fenced dog run and the rules said all dogs must be leashed. There were several dogs that were not leashed and very aggressive. Will not return. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Whispering Meadow, owner at Whispering Meadow RV Park responded to this review

Sorry to hear that you won't be returning to see us. We do enforce the leash rules so I wish you would have let us know about any dogs that were unleashed and/or aggressive. It sounds like you feel that having long term workers in the park is a bad thing. I'm sure you noticed that this park was extremely clean and quiet. The workers do make good tenants - they work, eat and then go to bed early. Because we only have a few overnight sites and the owner lives on site, we don't stay in the office. We indicate that on our website and on the office door. On the other hand, because the owner lives on site, we really have no time clock meaning you can get assistance at 7am or 10pm. Having the baseball fields and park across the street from us seems to be a benefit. People can go to the fields and take their pets off the leash as well as hit the walking track or playground. In the summer, the splash pad is on for the kids. Generally by 8pm, the fields as well as the roads are quiet. Finally I see the sheriff dept. patrolling the park at all hours of the night which makes this park safer for us. There is an abundance of expansion in the Lake Charles area so the traffic has picked up. The state is looking at possibly re-routing the traffic to another area of town but as you know, most states work at a snail's pace. We appreciate your review and hope that you will consider staying here in the future if you're passing through.

Whispering Meadow was very easy to access from I-10, just a 10 minute drive off the exit through a nice business, dining and residential area. We contacted our host at the office just inside the main gate. The overnight/short-term sites are right up front. Quite a bit of the park is long-term, but you would never know it compared to other RV parks. The sites were level concrete with a nice lawn table and chair. All utilities were close at hand and working properly. Trash is picked up at your site daily. The grounds, showers and laundry were immaculate. There are 10 acres for walking the dog and a small dog park for off-leash time. The owners are on site 24/7 and give you a number to call for assistance. We camped here in a 28 foot Class A motor home. We do not tow, but there was plenty of space for a tow vehicle. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very well maintained, clean, quiet, and pleasant RV park. We stayed here for 2 days while visiting the Creole Nature Trail and Lake Charles area. The staff (owners) are very friendly and helpful. The park offers level cement slabs and patios with plenty of room at each site. There are comfortable chairs and a round table at each site. The campground has good security lighting at night. We were very comfortable staying at this RV park. The park is located just outside the busy area of Westlake but easily accessible on the main road. The showers and restrooms were very clean and easy to use. The Wi-Fi and TV worked well. The only thing that would make this RV park better is more shade trees. I would recommend this RV park to anyone visiting the Lake George area. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Electric 50/30/20 is good. Water pressure at 60psi sustains 40psi and low to the ground. Sewer is good. Services are located middle ways to the site. AT&T Cell phone is strong. Verizon 4GLTE Data signal is stronger than AT&T. Cable is good. Was grainy to begin with but is better. Owner is looking for a better service. Sites are mainly concrete and some on one side are gravel. Concrete sites have grass between them and enough room for slides and an awning. There are long term Tenants due to the construction of a refinery in Lake Charles. Satellite TV is easily accessible. Roads a asphalt or oiled gravel and other parts are all gravel. There are two laundries. One by the office and one near the back of the park. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great RV park. It is well manicured, and the staff is helpful and friendly! One night, the wind picked up during the middle of the night which woke me up and the owner was walking around to make sure nothing was flying around. He helped me move my rug and a few items so they wouldn't fly. My site had a table with chairs, sitting on a cemented patio next to a grass area. I put up my dog pen for my pugs. It is a quiet park with friendly campers. I always felt safe here (I'm female so that really counts). Across the street is a base ball park and on the side of that is a small park with a shaded and cushioned walking track which I used. I stayed here for over 2 months and hope to stay here again when in the area. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice small park with easy access. Pull-through was long enough for our fiver and the truck. Very level. Water pressure, electric, and cable fine. Wi-Fi acceptable. Bathrooms clean. Small laundry room. No pool. Park is immaculately maintained and the owner is friendly and helpful and obviously takes great pride in his park. Far enough from I-10 to be fairly quiet. There is a large park across the street. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mostly quiet campground with no significant shade at the sites. Asphalt access roads with level concrete sites. Access roads somewhat narrow (questionable for two rigs to pass). Pull through sites long enough to avoid dropping toad from 37' rig but might require disconnect if rig is longer than 40'. Slight noise from highway. However, there is also a low level, very low frequency rumble on a 3 second cycle that fades into the background noise during the day but can be rather annoying at night. Power ok, water pressure good, did not use sewer, wifi better than usual for a campground, moderate Verizon cell signal, no problem with satellite access. We would have rated this an 8 except for the rumble. We might stay here again if needing an overnight in the area, but would not stay here longer. We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.
