This RV Park sets the standard for what RV Parks should be. The owners provided us with a full hook up pull through site right next to our daughter's family who were renting a cabin in the park. The entire RV Park is well maintained and a very pleasant place to stay while visiting the area. The RV Park is well situated making it easy to get to most of the popular attractions in the area. In addition to the many beaches and area attractions there are many activities to keep you busy in the RV Park. All of the facilities including the restrooms, showers, laundry room, rec hall, and pool are clean and easy to use. The store is well stocked and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. The roads are all paved and easy to navigate. There are many park models and cabins in the park and they are all well maintained. The owners and staff are constantly monitoring the park for maintenance issues and conversing with the campers. I would definitely recommend Red Apple Campground to anyone planning to visit the Kennebunkport area. I didn't see many empty campsites during our stay so I would recommend making reservations early if you plan to stay in this RV Park. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

The Rachael Carson wildlife sanctuary, and the Marginal Way are interesting walks for kids and easy for senior citizens. Old Orchard beach is very popular so plan to pay $15 to park anywhere near the beach.

This campground has quickly become one of our favorites. The owners are extremely friendly and the campground is clean and beautiful. Staff is out and about making sure everything is picked up and clean. It is very quiet here which is what we look for on many weekends. Peaceful and relaxing is the key to us having a good weekend. The pool was wonderful and the store had everything we needed. The only negative that I can say is that at times the wifi was deathly slow but other than that we had the best time here. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very, very nice campground. Pride in ownership is visible throughout the park. The grounds and buildings are in great shape as are the large numbers of park trailers on the property. Access is easy for back-in and pull-through sites. It has all the typical recreational amenities. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We have just scratched the surface of things to do in the Kennebunkport area. Our neighbors who had been here 10 days said there are many great things to see in the adjacent towns.

This is a well manicured campground among the woods. Sites are paved and level. Each has a picnic table and fire pit. The owners are on site and very accommodating. Multiple employees keep the campground in very good condition. Power was good. Wifi signal was strong. Verizon signal was good. Full hookups are available but too wooded for satellite access. W&E sites where a satellite signal is available are $65 with tax. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is awesome. Beautifully kept up. The owner and his wife are very friendly and go out of their way to help you if needed. On 2 nights we had fresh cooked lobster delivered to our site! Yummy. Owner delivers in his vintage red "Lobstah" truck. And it was extremely reasonably priced. When we were leaving we had issues with rig and he and his wife helped us by calling several local places to check for part we needed. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Would stay here again and have lobster delivered again! We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

Red Apple is a pleasant CG that resembles a seasonal village. There are many semi-permanently installed trailers and fifth wheels with porches, roofs, gardens, etc. It is extraordinarily tidy and well-kept. Even the very small dog run has clean toys to use! Some of the back-in sites are hard to get into because of trees; our rv is only 30' and it took us two tries. We liked having lobsters delivered to us for dinner from an antique truck. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is clean and well maintained. The wi-fi and cable worked great. The owners and staff were very friendly. The restrooms were clean and had private, lockable shower stalls, but the mats were very uncomfortable (like stepping on Legos). I recommend wearing some flip-flops or water shoes. You also have to push a button every 60 seconds to keep the shower running. The best part is that you can have whole cooked lobsters delivered right to your door at 5:30 every night! They were delicious! We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

We made reservations in May for a one week stay in August. They boast about being the quietest campground. Our site was 20 feet from the road and it was very noisy due to high traffic. We asked to be moved but we're told nothing was available even though there were 3 empty sites across from us. One day we chose to stay at the site, they weed whacked practically around our feet. Then they came on our site with a lawnmower. The majority of campers are seasonal and sites are very tight. The store is very tiny with almost nothing to buy. We were so miserable we decided it best to leave. We asked for a refund for the remainder of our stay and told them we were very unhappy. They refused And said no refunds and were very rude about it. We lost $240.00 but we needed sleep. Don't go there! You will be sorry. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a beautifully maintained upscale campground with many seasonal mobile homes and RV sites. They have lots of activities from live entertainment to bingo. It is a convenient location for visiting Kennebunkport. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer free DVD rentals in the store and we especially loved having a lobster dinner delivered to our door. (We paid $30 for two 1 1/2 lb. lobsters.) They also have a nice pool and laundry facilities. Our asphalt site was level and had some shade. The wifi was excellent; no cable. Our only complaints: site C-3 is next to the dump station and the picnic table faces the neighbor's sewer hook-up. We did not have any problems with noise, though. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

This is an amazing campground with very nice and friendly owners. This place is clean and well cared for and the new pool is wonderful. The owner takes pride in the pool and the campground. Other campers were extremely friendly and a lot of fun. If you are into parties and don't like grass or being somewhat close to your neighbor then this is not for you. If you are into quiet, relaxing clean campgrounds then this is the place for you. We did not make it to the Sat night band but the afternoon free cookout was great and very nice to be offered to all, thank you for that. We have booked for next year already. The previous reviews are accurate - this is an excellent campground for it's purpose. Very clean, quiet, good management. My rating is for a campground used as a base for travel in the Kennebunkport area. It is not a campground for the "camping experience". We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
