We loved this park. A great location, beautiful views. The staff was very friendly always working. Camp shop sold beer and wine. They serve lobster dinners every night, sometimes with live music. The bath house was very clean, decent pressure, hot water. The electric was perfect. Water pressure at the site was low due to a drought and they informed us of this in advance. Wi-fi horrible. We loved staying here, and actually added an extra night. Would highly recommend, we camped in a 33'5th wheel. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Site 207 was "uphill", there was a flat spot were we parked the camper. We had excellent views of the water from our site, however the site itself was limited due to the "hill". We picked the views over the site topography.

The staff was some of the nicest people I've ever meet, they lead you to your site and help you get backed in and will do anything for you, my hats off to them...all sites seem to be fairly level and the campground is big rig friendly...our site was gravel but some are grass...we only had electric, water and cable which all worked great....we had some shade but some sites do not.....we requested a water front site and boy this is the best spot in the campground, in my opinion...the water was at the most 150' or less from our spot...restrooms and showers were clean with plenty of hot water....cell service and wifi were good, with about 45 cable channels....the campground has lobster dinners on the weekends cooked right in the campground...would definitely stay here again.... We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a TOP Quality KOA, the way all KOA's should be. The only thing that I find negative is no sewer on all sites. They charge 15.00 per dump and they come to your site to dump your tanks. I feel that the dump should be complementary since paying 99.00 a night.

The staff is the friendliest and nicest that you will ever encounter. Location is excellent, I recommend this KOA Park very highly. Book early and don't get a water site, they have no sewer. This is a quality KOA Park and you will enjoy your visit. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Motorhome.

The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Don't get caught up in the sites, yes some are close, pull thru are nice and the oceanfront spots as well. But the sunset and the onsite lobster pound make up for it all!!! Free shuttle to and from Bar Harbor is amazing. Route 3 was all torn up while we was there. Parking is sparse in town. Close to Acadia National Park. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground was a huge disappointment, cramped site and very poor value. I was stunned that it got some high ratings. The people on both sides were extremely close and the campers on our hookup side had their dog pen right next to our hookups. There was no grass, no gravel, just mainly dirt which turned to mud after the rain. I expect more from a KOA based on past experiences, but this was just a big ripoff, all because they're close to the beach. Not all KOAs are great but you can expect a certain level of comfort that this campground totally lacked. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a nicely located campground, however the sites are extremely small. We opened our door and had tent within 10' of our door. And, we were on a slope that went downhill. So unless you are on the water, this was not a very good value. The dog park was nice. The showers and laundry room could use a little updating. They do have a nice public area for watching sunsets, however the folks across from it were very ugly like they owned the whole place. They will deliver ice if you need it for a fee. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't put tents with TT's - it was not pleasant to open your door and see a tent right in your face. level off some of the spaces for TT's so that your are not sloping downhill. Plant more trees for all the spaces that are directly in the sun.

Not sure how the ratings got this high. First the location is outstanding, close to the whole area; lobster pounds at its finest. But the owners know its location location location! This park is NOT worth 95 dollars! Check in was very slow, they wouldn't let me in without a "guide" which took 10 minutes waiting before he got me to my site. We were in the section (lot 127) by the bathrooms; the water pressure is non existent! I had my water pressure gauge at 17-20 pounds when running!! I spoke with a man on a cart and he said this has been an inherent problem and that if I wanted to try and resolve i should go talk to he owner. I went to the office; she seemed genuinely concerned and would take care of it right away; the gentleman was standing close by and saw his reaction; he knew nothing was going to be done!! Wi-Fi was also non existent!! Not sure why so many parks say their wifi is good when its not. Would not stay here again. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

To me, this park is hard to review because it is just "OK" until you add the view. The center sites are located in an open grass field. There are a few trees on the perimeter but no foliage in between and the sites are close. The water sites are also very close with detached tow vehicles almost overlapping sites. Water sites don't have sewer but the $$ view on the patio side is classic rocky but easily accessible beautiful Maine coast. When we at the campground we are outside enjoying the view. When inside our RV our chairs are turned around facing our rear window so we can continue to enjoy the view. The office staff was very helpful and the escort made getting into the site easy. The campground is well cared for. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a large park with lots of room between sites. We were several rows back from the water but could still see the ocean. The sunsets were beautiful. The staff came by on golf carts several times and answered any questions we had. The laundry room was clean and accessible. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Acadia National Park is a great place to visit and explore the area. Lots of scenic drives including Cadillac Mountain. Get a map at the Visitors' Center and follow the main points of interest. Thunder Hole is a good place for photos. We also took a guided Lighthouse and Acadia NP boat tour which was well worth the price. The Fish House Grill is right by the boat and has an excellent Lobster dinner.

The facilities, grounds and surrounding area is very well maintained. The staff were very friendly and made our stay enjoyable. Lobsters/clams cooked every night on the grounds. "Pie Guy" drives through between 5-7p. Free bus service from the campground to many locations on the island and within Acadia park. The only down side is the prices keep rising every year. The park has several sites on the war we which are beautiful. We were first in 206 which wasn't on the water but did have a view of the water. The dog park was small but nice. We didn't use it but there was a cafe to purchase food including boiled lobster for dinner! We enjoyed Bar Harbor and Acadia so much we decided to stay an extra night. We were told there weren't any spots available. We double checked online and we're able to find a spot, we went back to the office this time they found it. We aren't sure why they wouldn't have wanted to work harder to find us a spot??? Other than that experience we enjoyed our stay, just wish that the sites would have had full hookups for the price. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff. Beautiful waterfront views if your site is on the waterfront. If not, you are in an overcrowded very tight campsite/no shade. Very little space b/n sites. We didn't have room to put up our usual canopy and our view was a closeup of the back of our neighbors RV and sewer pipes. We are used to more private/shaded sites so this was a challenge for us. But, looking beyond that we had hours of fun finding shells and creatures in the tide pools and the man cooking lobster right there at night was awesome and his prices were reasonable. The area of Bar Harbor and Acadia park is beautiful and super pet friendly! We would like to return but would make sure we had a waterfront site for the space and views! Very clean and well-sited park. Check-in was easy and guided to spot. Guide assisted with RV back-up and placement which was helpful since sites are close. No shade at our site, but very close to nightly lobster boil tent. Slight sewer odor at night when wind blew from the east. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is located right on the ocean, so the views are very nice. If you are willing to pay $96 (w/o discount) for ocean front view, then this is your place. We visited in early October, so the campground's occupancy was lighter than normal. We were able to find an ocean front site without reservation due to the time of the year but we were told that these sites are pretty much impossible to get during the summer without reservations made months in advance.

This is a typical KOA, a "McCampground" with all the amenities as well as the tight sites and lack of privacy experience. It is nicely kept, clean, the staff is super nice and driving around the island and seeing what other campgrounds look like, this KOA is probably the smart choice.

Probably the very best site is 272, right on the ocean and away from other sites. We stayed in site 343 which I would probably say it ranks in the top 5. Overall, it was a nice experience because it was not too crowded or noisy. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Motorhome.
