We stayed here in a 31 foot motorhome. The park is nice and clean but small sites for a motorhome. If you are tent camping, it is a great place. I walked through the tent area and they had some really nice spots for tents. We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a smaller KOA compared to others we have stayed at. Check in was quick and easy and staff was friendly. Nice pool near the entrance. Interior roads were good. Our site was directly across from the restrooms which is a long building with individual bathrooms{shower, sink and toilet}. They were kept as clean as possible considering the use they got from the group campers using them. Site was grass and needed a little leveling. Had a picnic table and fire ring. Very close to neighbor sites. No problems with electric, water or septic. Recommend using the free shuttle that picks you up at the entrance to go to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Use the free shuttle to get around BH and Acadia. Lots of places to eat but one place we liked is Smokeys Bar- B- Que & Seafood in Trenton. Good food at reasonable prices.

Disappointed in our assigned spot. We made reservation weeks in advance with two other coaches to be together. Two coaches were together up front and we were in the back 40 across from the restrooms. No where close to the other two coaches. Spots on mainly dirt with very little gravel under coach. We had a difficult back in spot although we asked for drive through. We were there for 4 nights the first two nights were over weekend. After Sunday there were all sorts of vacancies. It looks like they would of attempted to accommodate longer stay requests with what we asked for over weekenders. We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Motorhome.

The name "Woodlands" is very accurate and descriptive. We had one of only 3 or 4 sites that was not heavily treed and shaded. This is the direct opposite of their sister CG (Oceanside KOA) about 1.5 miles away. We prefer this type of layout. The "forest" setting provided us a new found appreciation of star gazing. The trees blocked all outside sources of light so the view of the sky was spectacular. Only going to Cadillac Mountain could have been better. Since star gazing is what I remember most, you can rightly assume I have no complaints about the CG itself. This is where we'll be when we return to Acadia. We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Motorhome.

This campground is part of a corporate pairing with the Oceanside KOA. This is mostly tent camping oriented. Our FHU site will very level. Electric, water and sewer worked correctly. WiFi was fine during the day, but slowed at night when the families returned from touring. Verizon and ATT, both data and voice was weak. You needed to step outside the TT to get a good steady signal. Campground staff are very friendly and you can get one gentleman going in a heart beat. Someone called him an Irishman, and now..... (Hopefully, someone mopped the floor in the laundry room by now.) We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Leave your truck/car/motorcycle at the CG and use the Island Shuttle to move around. The shuttle picks up and drops off right at the CG office. Route #1 moves between Trenton and Bar Harbor, hitting all the campgrounds on the way. The other Shuttles go in loops. Frequency is generally 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Hopefully, the next set of shuttle buses will include springs between the axle and bus body.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They always had a wave and a smile. The grounds were spotless. Site was level and grassy. Bathroom and laundry room were very clean. WI-FI was very spotty. Needed to walk to the office area to get it. Wish they were open later in the season, as we return to Maine in the fall. We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park with friendly people. The park had good Internet and TV, full hookup with 30 amp service. Our site was dirt/gravel and woods. The facilities/amenities were very nice. The only negative for us was that is over-priced. The park was close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice campground. Convenient to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Trolley stops inside campground. Very clean heated pool. Friendly staff. The newer bathrooms were very clean. The older ones show their age. Lots of wooded tent camping sites. Store could use some variety. Price reflects Koa Kamper Kabin rate. We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Campground Cabin.

This is a nice campground and what I wish other KOA's would live up to. Nice roomy campsites with level pull throughs. The laundry room was clean and everything worked well and was fairly new. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. It's also close enough to everything in Bar Harbor and the rest of the island and still quiet at night. The pet area was large and had room for our dog to fetch balls. We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a great park, one of KOA's best, and I have stayed in many! If you are considering this one or Oceanside, be aware, there are no trees at Oceanside and this park has a pool! The staff here were awesome, very helpful with anything you needed. There is a bus that runs through the park taking you to Acadia or to town, perfect for the motorhome traveler! The only problem we had was the breaker kicked out on us several times, and we were under 30 amps! And then there are the mosquitoes!!! Bring lots of repellent! We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This was one of the worst parks I ever stayed at. The site they gave us was so small we couldn't even open our awning. It smelled like sewage in the area. The staff was friendly. When I got home I complained to KOA and to KOA Bar Harbor and KOA corporation agreed that the site we had was a poor site and refunded us our money back for the week we stayed there. We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is the "other" campground of KOA that is not on the water, but 2 miles down the road deep in the woods. Roads are dirt tracks and sites are rough. 60% of sites are under a tree canopy that makes them very dark and a breeding ground for bugs. The only plus is that this park has wifi and cable, whereas the waterfront park does not and we needed the wifi.Big mistake, and one you should not make.Restrooms are in a 50 year old hut. At $60 for a site with sewer it is way over priced. It is a measure of the park manager's confidence when she said "you'd better have a look at the site before we confirm things". The place is an afterthought and way over priced. We would not return! We camped at Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA in a Motorhome.
