The park is in a great location right on Moosehead Lake. The road to the park from Greenville is paved, but a little rough. The sites are wooded and well spaced so you don't have to listen to your neighbors. There are only a couple of pull through sites. The only threaded water supply is at the dump station. There is water throughout the campground and out houses. There is one central bath house with showers and toilets. The staff is friendly and we saw deer in the park each day we were there. We camped at Lily Bay State Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This state park is pretty. The roads are quite rough getting to the park the last 5 to 6 miles. So rough that cabinets that never opened in three years did fly open. The sites are extremely tight for bigger rigs and more geared for tents and pop ups. This is a nice place to fish and hang out. We camped at Lily Bay State Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This is another great Maine State Park way up north on Moosehead Lake. The sites were wooded and many right on the water. We had a wooded site and it is quite private and peaceful. There are hot showers but no utilities. You can boat, fish, swim, hike and see a lot of wildlife. Just outside the park we saw a number of moose on different days. Be careful though -they are big and will be protective especially the mothers with their young. It gets very dark at night even in August, if you are in a wooded campsite, so bring flashlights. It is a beautiful area of Maine and the campground is great. We camped at Lily Bay State Park in a Motorhome.Undo
This is a very primitive State Park way up in the mountains on Moosehead Lake, it is awesome. This was our first visit to Maine and we stayed here for a couple nights in a tent. Awesome scenery, great hiking trails nearby, fishing, sightseeing. Very clean and after 10pm you could here a pin drop it was so quiet. We are already talking about going back up there, but we live in NC so it may be a while. Could not find any reviews on the park before we booked a reservation but sure glad we stayed here.
