First time staying overnight at campground. Stayed for 10 days, very enjoyable. Friendly owners, others campers and had great weather. - Catt
Sep 2008 - $38.00
This is an old campground. Bad access road: dirt and lots of pot holes. Lots of trees make for some tight turns. Many seasonals here and sites were not all well cared for. They have a list of activities in season and a playground. If you stay, be sure to specify what type of service you want, otherwise you will be charged for the maximum for the site - ie, a 50/30 amp site will be charged at the 50 amp rate whether you are using 50 or not. The manager is not pleasant to deal with if there is a misunderstanding. The laundry had not been cleaned in awhile. We would not stay here again. - User469

The campground is primarily a seasonal park with many activities for children but daily sites are available. We had a good back-in on sand. The place is heavily forested, making use of satellite dish impossible. There is no cable TV. Wifi was good. - Mtmoi

Quiet time should be later on weekends~
Pool table needs a new cover~
Grill over fire ring would b nice~
More paper towel refills in ladies room~ - The Gorman Family

This is a family oriented park. Many of the sites are seasonal, only used on weekends. The facilities, while aged, are well maintained. The internal road are dirt and gravel with many trees. Sites could use grading and leveling. They have many activities on weekends. The road into the park is dirt and might be an issue if rainy. Very good free Wi-Fi. - A hitch and hop

The value was great for this campground, which was why we chose it. We are a family of five, and this campground didn't charge the $5ish per person over 2 people that most campgrounds in the area charged. It was nothing fancy, but it suited our needs. This campground has a huge group of permanent residents in the summer and early fall, but most were clearing out when we arrived in October. The laundry facility needs updating. It is outside, and we had to search for the lights in the dark. The dryer ended up melting our clothing, and could have easily ended up in a fire. The owner said he would get them updated, but I would stay close to my laundry just in case. The owner was very friendly, and since he was getting ready to close down for the winter, he gave our children free ice cream bars and chips every day to clear out his store. This was a good, reasonably priced campground in an area with a lot to see and do. - RVerFamily

Fire wood was delivered to our site promptly. The nearly level site was big enough to have a fire and not bother other campers. We used the site mainly as a place to sleep. Sites are gravel. The roads in this older campground are tight but well marked. Many of the sites are well maintained seasonal sites We had site 40 and the electric kept tripping our surge protector. Discussed this with the campground manager and he says that this problem and the addition of 50 amp sites will be added this fall/next spring. We have stayed there many times in the past and will stay next time we are in the area. - debandi12

This is a great park & I would recommend it. We camped in a shady site right on Crystal lake. Although there is only water & electric & no sewer lakefront, they have inexpensive honey wagon service on request. The lake is beautiful & there was very little noise throughout the park. No pool but swim in clear lake at your site! There is a small sandy man made beach, kayak & canoe rental, pet friendly, courteous staff! Harrison is very small town but short drive to Bridgon for a drive-in movie or Wal-Mart in Windham. - User2048

Jul 2017 - $95.00
I went here as a child nearly 50 years ago, and then took my kids 20 years ago. We stayed this time as we had a nearby event to attend. This is an old fashioned campground, which can be a plus and also a minus. We found that much of the public space and equipment is very dated and need of attention. The bathrooms really need to be re-done. They were clean, but there is only so much you can do with bleach. Playgrounds and mini-golf both are neglected. Much of the equipment needs to be replaced. For such a large campground, they don't really have enough space to accommodate all guests at the pond beaches and/or pool. The pool is very small and is divided into 3 sections, so it is impossible to swim laps. The rental equipment (boats etc) are in really poor condition and are way overdue to be replaced. The campground itself is laid out on either side of a busy road. It requires you to be crossing frequently if you want to participate in activities. There are no cross walks nor warning lights to slow traffic. There is a good deal of heavy truck traffic. This combined with many children on bikes is unnerving. The sites are very large and trees and bushes have been left between them giving some decent privacy. It was a little dicey maneuvering our 38' Fifth wheel around. Many of the old pines are tipped in at the top, which is tough for a big rig. We usually require 50 amp service, but they only offer 30. Luckily we didn't need to run the A/C except for one night. We shut everything else down in the camper. WiFi is only available by the store, and it is horribly slow and insufficient. Coupled with poor cell phone reception because of the mountains, it made staying in touch difficult. I think with a decent amount of reinvestment and modernization this could really be a great destination. - Nana and Gumpy
Jun 2015 - $36.00
This is a nice "old fashion" type of campground. Lots of choices in cabins and sites, some with bathrooms on the site. Staff and manager are great, always willing to talk. Campground offers plenty to do if you wish or you can just enjoy sitting back and relaxing. The campground is split by a road but the road noise is not bad. This was our 2nd year in a row going the first weekend in June. Not too much in the area unless you drive 30 minutes or so. Store was well stocked with anything you would need. Will return at some point. - Happy Camper X2

This campground has the most activities I have ever seen anywhere! Tall pines make the stay feel like being deep in a forest. Great hosts and clean facilities! Highly recommended. - Ray Campalot

It is an "ok" park for one night. Branches drug across our MH and really should be cut. They were very low. All grass sites. We had no sewer. Wifi was NOT free. Showers were free. Only one exit/entrance and not wide enough for another car to pass. That is bothersome to us considering it is very woodsy here. Careful how your GPS brings you in. "Waze" brought us up a steep, short, sharp turn at a RR track. The hitch hit the ground there and I'm not sure how we even did it without more damage. I'm not sure I would stay again. - User3274

Nice clean campground. Good room for big rigs in the pull thru sites as well as down at the waterfront sites. Pool was clean and so were the restrooms. Family owned and very friendly. Easy access to dump station and they have a honey wagon service for longer stays. Owner is certified RV tech and does work at very reasonable charge. - scrowba

Campground is on Crescent Lake, which is a beautiful lake and very clean. Kayaking was superb with plenty to see. The seasonal campers recommended several sights on the lake to visit.
Campsites are among pine trees and are very close together. Roads are all dirt but are treated with some sort of petroleum mixture, without an odor, several times a week to keep down dust. Cable hookups are all new and provided excellent viewing. Wi-Fi was poor and a source of frustration trying to receive a signal.
Check-in was quick and easy, the management was very helpful. All the staff was friendly and provided good service. The only other problem were the pine trees leaking sap onto the car and trailer. But if I didn't want pine trees, then I should stay out of Maine. So you got to take the bad with the good.
Swimming was good, the beach was excellent. There were plenty of activities for the kids. There was several locations with laundry washers and dryers. However, the floors were very dirty and needed a good cleaning.
We stayed for a week. - Nautilus
Jul 2016 - $60.00
This is a family campground (lots of kids, lots of tents). Hookups are funky, have extra hose and electric cord. Quiet hour isn't until 11:00 pm, meaning radios go until then. It was the only place we found with vacancy. We needed electric for A/C, as weather was hot and humid. - User3119
Jul 2016 - $51.00
We returned here for a 9 night stay. We moved sites after the first weekend which was a planned move to get closer to the lake. We like it here but there are a couple things that could improve. First the good, the lake was great and very clean. The pontoon rentals are nice, the staff is great, the snack bar and pizza is excellent. The beach was nice and the other campers were very friendly. The issues, some of the utilities need to be fixed or improved. The 30 amp plugs are cracked, the cable connects do not all work, the sewer can back up. My son went in the bathroom and said it was a mess, I did not see it but he used the trailer the rest of his stay. The speed of cars was a concern, 5 mph is posed but many drive 20 and possible 30. We reported this as there are a lot of kids around.
All in all we really enjoyed our week. We found the campground to be very quiet most nights and loved our time on the beach and swimming/floating in the lake. We will return. - Happy Camper X2

Colonial Mast is a very nice campground. The office staff was very nice from the time of booking to when we arrived. We were in the area to attend Maine's Blues Festival. The road leading to the campground as well as the roads in the campground are a little narrow. We were able to maneuver our 30 foot trailer without too much difficulty. There are some low lying tree limbs that could be trimmed. Our site was a little tight. The pedestal was at the very rear of the site. We had to park as far back as possible just to reach the power. It took all of the cable that we had just to reach. By having to move all the way to the back of the site meant that the sewer pipe was up hill. Water pressure was good! The campground is on a beautiful lake named Long Lake. They have canoes, paddle boats, and a great swimming area. The campground does have an indoor pool. However, they charge $2.00 per person to use the pool each time and only during the hours they have listed as "open swim". The views of the lake are very nice and this has to be one of the quietest campgrounds that we have stayed at. We would stay here again if we are in the area. - clw_man

We chose this CG because of location on Long Lake. We are still here as our new motor home broke down and was towed to ford. The owner has gone above and beyond, first trying to jump start us, then he asked an rv tech who was here for someone else to come by our site which he did, but to no avail. When the tow truck driver came he said he could only take one person, that left me and our 2 dogs. The owner used his golf cart to take me, 2 dogs, some food and bedding to a cottage on site for the night as my husband had to go with the RV and then rent a car. We did get on the lake in a rented rowboat with the Dogs yesterday before all the trouble and it was lovely and the water was warm. The staff are helpful and friendly, it is quiet at night. The town is 2 miles away with shops and restaurants. I would recommend this CG. The roads are dirt and gravel and there are a lot of low branches. The beach is nice and large enough for families to sit together. The game room has pool and ping pong. There are a lot of places to rent a boat within a few miles. Most sites are pretty level - Winnebago Wanderers

This is one of the nicest RV parks we've ever stayed in! Huge level sites with tables, fire pit and lots of room for gazebo, chairs, or whatever you'd like outside. Owners are the nicest people AND they make homemade moon pies for sale in the little cafe. We had a bit of trouble with the wifi and they went out of their way to make sure things were good. Great cable! Nice large pool and close to town. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. - Catsinatrailer

This is a great park. There are quite a few seasonals which we normally do not like. But this park is different. The seasonals are neat - no junk- nice yard areas. The park has all kinds of activities and socials. The grounds and bathhouses are exceptional. The owners and staff are super nice. - DAV53
Aug 2017 - $65.00
Great married couple own this park. They were super helpful in suggesting things to do and see. There is a small restaurant that they operate. The food was very good. Nice Laundry facilities. This park was spotless. One the neatest parks we have ever seen. There are a number of seasonal renters, but the sites are well maintained. Owners are currently working on expanding the park. Good location close to Sebago Lake. - Hawkhill59
