This is probably the best RV campground in the state, if not New England. In an area where the campgrounds are open only 6 months of the year, it is hard to find a good one that compares to those in the South and the West, but this one is great. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There are full directions in the office for nearby restaurants, shops, groceries, garages, and other merchants.

A wonderful RV park. Really well taken care of, lovely landscaped common areas and friendly staff. Easy access and large queuing area for check in. Sites are mostly pull thrus, long enough for rig and toad, and mostly level with gravel surface and grass in between sites. Satellite friendly. WiFi worked well. Restrooms on each end of park and always clean. Large grassy area to walk dog. Path leading to diner serving breakfast and lunch with 10% off coupon in RV park office. Small "outdoor" laundry. Lots of events like pizza and ice cream socials to bring folks together. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very good experience, very clean and the pull through is large enough for your rig and 2 cars. The grass is kept very nicely and the staff is very friendly. I would stay here again if I come back through Bangor. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great overnight stop between Boston and Nova Scotia. Long gavel pullthrough site (did require one leveling board on driver's side) with well maintained interior roads.
Coin laundry and rest rooms were immaculate.
We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the cleanest park I've ever stayed in. Everybody who works here is super friendly and so helpful! I've been coming here since 2004. I consider it my "home base" when I visit Maine each summer. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Stay here when you come to the Bangor Folk Festival, the week before Labor Day every year. It's so easy to get to and from the Festival from here.

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Only two things where I thought this park missed the boat that would otherwise justify a higher rating--the existing access from I-95 (rough roads and railroad crossings, but not impossible, and not the park's fault) via exit 180--and the lack of a pool, which was not an issue over the dates of our stay (May). Can't say enough good things about the friendly, knowledgeable staff at check-in, who were quick to refer me to a fine nearby walk-in clinic when needed. The park entrance is well marked, the sites are level, gravel, and spacious -- mostly easy pull-throughs, but some back-ins as well. The restrooms were immaculate. Good areas for dog walking. Limited number of trees do not interfere with satellite reception. There appear to be some seasonal sites. Have stayed at several other parks in the Bangor area and there is none that compares. There is another access from I-95 a couple of exits further north, but the overpass is currently under construction and not open to trucks and motorhomes at this time. Easier to take Exit 180 and grin and bear it. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The small family restaurant adjacent to the campground serves huge portions, beware! There is a discount coupon for the restaurant on the RV park hangtag for your toad. Prices are reasonable and the servers very friendly. Also, easy to fill up on diesel at Dysart's Truck Stop at the intersection of I-95 and exit 180.

A reasonably quiet site, quality amenities for those visiting the tourist attractions, without having to put up with the tourists. A mix of long term workers and retirees with transients and tourists. Clean facilities, a great restaurant and a friendly staff. Some airport noise, but not intolerable. 30/50 Amp sites are properly wired. Good internet and wireless access (3-4 bars Verizon). CG internet was moderate speed and reliable. Not much going on this late in the season at the CG itself. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This is my preferred park in the immediate area. Still close to the "city" of Bangor, yet has all the minor conveniences right in town. Plenty of restaurant choices in Bangor/Brewer in easy reach of the CG. Give the big truck stop, Dysart's, a try. Best pies in town. Just a 10 minute hop into the casino or the concert hall.

Small and immaculately kept park both in landscaping and facilities. Office staff, hosts, and maintenance were all super friendly. At the off-season Passport America rate this is a spectacular bargain. The drive to Bar Harbor / Acadia is more than an hour away that used more in fuel than we saved (noted as information only, not as a negative for the park). If wanting to stay in Bangor we would definitely return. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Price with Escapee discount. Good park, roomy sites of grass with gravel roads and pads. Wi-Fi good. Verizon was good. Staff very helpful and know the area well. Call ahead as they have many groups stay here and can fill up quickly. This was our second stay here and would stay again if in the area. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

OK place for a night or two, but big rigs are crowed together. Good Wi-Fi, free for 2 devices, $3 for a 3rd. Mom & Pop restaurant on the property with okay food (breakfast, hamburgers, liver & onions). Very helpful staff will suggest things to do in the area, including a tour past Stephen King's home in a hearse. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park with easy access to all sites. Well laid out and very easy to back in or pull through. Full hookups worked perfectly and the Wi-Fi was better than most. Good cable. Good country location with easy proximity to Bangor and surrounding area. We enjoyed our stay and will be back when we return to Maine. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Site was a pull through and easily accommodated my truck and trailer. Power was very good. Water pressure was very good. Cable selection was excellent. The sites were level and had lots of space between them. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The park is very well maintained. Management takes great pride in this park. We were given 2 WiFi codes and the WiFi worked great. It was fast and had no dropping out. Excellent!! Overall this is a great park. The best one we have stayed in yet. Normally I would give a park with this level of facilities an 8, but the attitude and attention to detail make it a 9. We arrived with no reservation, but the staff were quick to help us find a site that met our needs. We elected water/electric over full service since it was just for one night and the site was a bit more private. The gravel pad was so level that, even hooked up, the trailer was level in both directions. The site was spacious and well groomed, though the whole park lacks in trees. Good power, good water, great cable. The entire park is immaculate. The grounds are lovely, and they take great pride in their bathrooms and showers (which I use, in the interest of marital bliss). Even the sewage dump is clean, with soap and paper towels to wash up afterwards. There is a small family diner next door, with decent down home food, and a discount for campers. If they added more shade trees, and installed a pool, this would be a 10! We will definitely return next time that we are in the Bangor area. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here the month of June and because it is a quality RV park we decided to re-up for the month of July. We will be leaving Aug. 3 and all I can say is EXCELLENT, WONDERFUL RV Park!! We are full timers and can honestly say this is the cleanest, most friendly, most professional staff, park we have been in. The staff, including the workampers, bend over backwards to attend to your every need as well as show you a good time. Large pull thrus, close to all shopping and attractions. The only negative I can state, and this is no fault of the staff, is the rude RV'ers that think it is OK to cut through campsites because they are too lazy to go around! This the #1 rule of rving - DO NOT CUT THROUGH CAMPSITES! We have camped from California to east coast and this is the worst we've seen. YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID! Other than that this is a "10+ Park and hope to return someday. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.
