We stayed for a week to get a better price and drove to Bar Harbor . The park is everything it says On their website. The site was gravel and level. Power was good and constant. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with exceptionally friendly staff. The lots were large and open, with tall, neatly trimmed trees. It's in a nice area. We traveled to Acadia National Park from here daily with ease. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice clean park. Great pull through sites for our 40' motorhome and tow. No need to unhook if you're not staying long. Price included FHU, pull thru with cable and wifi. The wifi worked well but did slow in the evenings, however we had no issues. The restaurant in front of the campground had great breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. I would have rated it a ten, but I hate outdoor laundries. Personal preference. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful small campground, friendly & helpful staff who are very accommodating. Our site was crushed stone and fairly level. Hookups were good but power did fluctuate down as low as 111 when everyone had their AC on. Wifi is free but varied greatly in speed. Grounds were very clean and well kept.

While the name says resort, it's more like a park in that there is no pool or jacquzzi or playgrounds. But it was very quiet as well, not drawing a ton of kids since they didn't have the amenities mentioned. The quiet setting worked well for us!

We were here the whole month of August 2016. They hosted an Escapees Northeast chapter rally during our stay which was great since we belong! They were super about receiving mail and packages from Amazon, etc.

Power fluctuated from as low as 111 during high AC run times in hot weather to 126 (have a digital meter in the coach to monitor). We did have our 50Amp breaker switch fail on site 11 while here, but as soon as we brought to their attention, it was replaced in minutes and all was well. The monthly rate included electricity and was very reasonable at $24.05/night. We also got about 100 channels of free cable TV which was very nice. A local propane truck came through on Wednesdays to fill coaches.

We also enjoyed a nice ice cream social put on by the management as well as other events they have too. All in all a very friendly park without the things that draw a ton of little kids. The mean age was well over 60 from our estimation.

Many sites are in the open but a few have some shade. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is very handy to Bangor and all it has to offer (tons of restaurants, movies, shopping about any store you'd want), and about 1 hour away from Bar Harbor. If you take exit 180 off I-95 (Colebrook Rd), Dysarts truckstop is a great place to top off fuel and also has a great restaurant. There's also a nice little restaurant right out in front of the RV park.

Overall Rating:

Very nice campground. A slight negative, and not the CG's fault, was dusty roads due to a drought. In their defense they did water the roads daily. Great landscaping and immaculate bathrooms. Staff was extremely friendly. The park owners live onsite and are campers themselves. Some sites are very windy, so watching out for your awnings is very important. The CG is is over an hour from Acadia National Park, but the extra drive time is worth it, if you compare what they charge versus CG's either on Mt Desert Island or near the island. The park is busy, it was full most nights and had tours coming through as well as club events. There are pizza nights and ice cream socials available for a reasonable fee. Minimal amount of road noise where we stayed in the rear of the park. The $22.00/night quoted was for a monthly rate that included electricity. AT&T signal was two to three bars. The cable was good and the WiFi was strong. Two WiFi pass words per site are issued extra pass words are $3.00 per device. We would definitely stay there again. Fire rings are available upon request. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Acadia National Park is fantastic, try to go midweek as it has 2.5 million visitors per year. The views from Cadillac Mountain are wonderful but it is very crowded with limited parking, so go early in the day.

We were here for a few days on our way to Canada. We developed a oil leak on the coach and had to return for several days until the part came in. they were very accommodating. You can't ask for a neater cleaner park. You have all of the amenities that you need. They work to beautiful with flowers and keep the lots level. The one small negative is the water pressure. You will love your visit. A very nice restaurant is on site for your convenience.

Friendly staff pleasant to visit with and guide you to site. They provide written directions to just about anywhere you want to visit in area. Clean spacious sites. Good cable and Wifi. Stayed in pull-through that required wood blocks under tires on driver side to level and keep tires on the ground. That requires a lot of wood blocks for four tires. Ice cream social had excellent cream and toppings. Rate includes PPA discount for 5 nights and two nights no discount. Easy entry and exit with 44' rig and toad. Will stay here again. This had to be the cleanest campground we have ever seen. There wasn't a piece of paper or cigarette butt anywhere. The bathrooms were freshly painted and refreshed with flowers. The staff was uber friendly and always greeted you with the biggest smiles. The sites were level and roomy. Hookups worked fine. The WiFi could have been better - it worked like molasses going uphill in the winter time. You're better off using your jet pack or cell phone hot spot. There were many channels on the cable tv hook up. The activity room is spacious and attractive. This was a GREAT campground!! We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful park and has been very well taken care of. The pride of ownership shows. Rate shown is with the Passport America discount.

They escort you to your site which is always a plus in our book.

The grounds are well maintained and there are flowers planted everywhere.

Sites are long and far apart so you don't feel like you're sitting in your neighbours RV.

Several sites have great shade but ours did not. Ask for one if you can. (Site 68 had great afternoon shade)

Highly recommend this RV park. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very well maintained RV Resort, staff were friendly and helpful at check in. Interior roads are gravel as was our site, which was a long and not overly level pull through, big rig access was good. Fairly quiet with some privacy and space to park our towed. Some shade trees, grass and picnic table for each site. There are quite a few seasonal sites here, but all were neat and tidy. Bathrooms were spotless, but I did not like the 'outside' laundry which was basically a roof and 3 walls, too small, too few washers and dryers, not pleasant in the heat with bugs and even less pleasant in the cold and rain! Pet friendly with pet walks, doggie bags and disposal stations. The landscaping all around the resort is very pretty and adds to the ambience. WiFi was good but cell marginal. There is a small food store in Hermon and we ate at the small restaurant adjacent to the resort, it's nothing fancy but it was clean and the food and service were good. We would stay here again. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.
