We stayed here twice. They went above expectations on service. We needed to store some guns before going into Canada. We called other RV Parks, Gun shops, and storage units. Pumpkin Patch was the only ones that very willingly helped us out, locked them in a safe, and did not charge us anything. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

So glad you were able to stay with us before you traveled into Canada! Our service of holding various items that are not permitted if you are crossing the border has been very popular and much appreciated. Please stay with us again if you have the occasion and thanks so much for your great review!

The site was level with central hook ups. Wifi worked great at the site as did the cable. The workampers were very helpful. Restrooms were very clean. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We appreciate you taking time to review the sites, restrooms, WiFi and staff... feedback from our guests is invaluable. We take each one seriously and try to improve our resort based on the comments we receive. We have decided to improve our WiFi this year and it seems to be a big hit with our customers!

Overall Rating:

This was a very nice campground for a few nights while passing through Bangor. It does feel a little crowded due to the many straight rows of RVs, but the sites are wider than most private RV parks which is nice, and there are plenty of trees which add to the appeal. With our 15% Escapees discount, the $35/night rate for full hookups/50 amp was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and we were able to receive deliveries during our stay. The free WiFi worked pretty well during the day (not during the evening though), and both AT&T and Verizon worked fine. The campground is large enough for simple dog walks, though we often ended up walking down neighboring streets as well to extend our walks. The only downside for us was that we were placed in one of the few "buddy" pull-through sites, so we shared our camping area with our neighbor. Most of the other sites in the park were very nice though. We'd definitely return if we're in the area. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Thanks so much for the nice review. As you know, the park is generally full because we have many returning guests who love staying here. For that reason we recommend that you make reservations in advance. We were full when you stayed here but, I'm sure you noticed the wide spaces between the sites which accommodate any type of rig regardless of the number of slides. The buddy site you were on just happened to be available but, when we our groups on site they always choose that central location near the large activity center. When you return next year, or even later this season, our brand new dog park will be ready for all of our furry friends! We look forward to your return.

If you have kids, and require entertainment for them or yourself, this is not the campground for you. It is very quiet, and what I'll call adult oriented - exactly what we were looking for. You can tell ownership takes pride in the campground as the grounds were immaculate. Interior roads are dirt, which created some dust, but for the most part folks stuck to the speed limit, which helped keep the dust down. Campers were friendly, and lots of dogs around, all kept on leashes - very unusual as our experience is that a lot of campers don't abide by the rule and let their dogs run free. The sites aren't overly wide, but were plenty long enough for our 5er and tow vehicle. The only drawback is that it's at least an hours drive to get to Mount Desert, and there isn't a whole lot else to do in the area. That said though, we'll be back there again. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Thank you for your glowing review. I would just like to add that there is a lot to do in this area there are several museums, a casino, beautiful scenic walking trails and tours. We provide brochures and directions of area interests in our office.

Very nice park, very clean and lovely landscaping. Good hookups, cable and WiFi included. level sites are staggered so that you are not looking right into the windows of your neighbors. Our pull through site was not shaded but some were. Many seasonals but friendly. Just close enough to Bangor but remote enough to be quiet. Lots of room to walk dogs too. This is a really nice RV park in Hermon, Maine. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they even delivered an Amazon package to us! I topped off a 7 gallon propane tank and only used 0.4 gallons but the staffer said "Don't worry about it. Just wanted to make sure you're filled up". Wow, never had that happen before. Sites are pull-through on packed gravel paths and have a large section of grass on both sides. Plenty of room to park and sit outside. It's very quiet and peaceful. We stayed for 7 days and were very happy we chose this park. It's close to Bangor. Another plus is a super truck and auto garage located only 2 miles away. Two of the sons of the owner live in the park and they did a terrific job on our truck. They even ferried us back and forth from the park and garage. Overall, great value. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We are so glad that you were able to stay with us for a week! The Bangor Auto and Truck Center services many of our guests and all seem to really be pleased with the quality and efficiency of their work. Having 2 sons and a daughter in law employed there certainly makes it convenient when it comes to giving you a ride to and from the shop! Thanks for the great review!

This park is pretty, cute and clean. We have been on the road since June 9 and we have stayed in 6 different parks since we left our home base park in Texas. This is by far the best one. The sites are spacious and the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Easy in and easy out as well. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We got four nights at the Passport America discount (50%, listed), and for the July days they gave us the Escapees discount (15%). Sites were nice, with lots of grass around the park and pretty flowers and thoughtful landscaping. There's a neat swing on top of a little knoll, great place to sit and enjoy the ambiance in the early evening. Our site was big enough to park the truck and trailer together. Bathrooms were spotless - but take a flashlight if you go to shower after dark, since the light is on a timer and if there's no movement it goes off! Wonderful campground, close to Bangor. Several lakes within easy driving distance for kayaking or boarding, peaceful and beautiful. Watch out for biting flies, wear your insect repellent and sunscreen during outdoor activities. Wonderful spot, would stay again if in the area. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Check out downtown Bangor - neat mural that's painted in the old postcard style is worth a photo. Hermon Pond is only a couple miles away and has easy lake access for personal watercraft. No motors, I believe. Swimming beach (if you can call it that), bathroom onsite.

Thanks very much for your wonderful review. Our location is only an hour from Acadia National Park and the Bar Harbor area so many of our guests find our campground the perfect location to settle and operate from, while in Maine. We are just 5 mins off I-95 but the short easy drive provides that quiet, serene setting you mention, free of any road noise. The space between the sites also adds to the ambiance since you aren't too close to neighbors on either side. Our big-rig friendly site caters to adults but children are certainly welcome. We also have a brand new restaurant only a few yards from the campground office that serves wonderful home cooked meals and a lobster roll that is hard to beat!

This is a well-kept park southwest of Bangor, ME. Follow the signs, not your GPS, for the last few hundred feet. Our pull-through was a bit unlevel but otherwise fine. There are a few trees but satellite TV was okay. WiFi was inconsistent. Verizon worked well. Propane is available. The diner that used to be steps from the office is gone. We had a mediocre dinner at Anglers Restaurant a few miles from the park: the shrimp scampi was made without garlic and we should have known not to order prime rib at a place named "Anglers." This is another great New England campground: good-sized sites separated by well-mown lawns, scattered with well-tended flower gardens, and staffed by friendly and helpful people. If the sites are laid out in a little too regular a pattern, well, that just makes access the easier, and the loss of rustic irregularity is made up for in excellent maintenance. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This facility is easily reached and any updated GPS will take you right to the front gate. The entrance road is wide and paved. The staff, owner and workcampers, offer excellent customer service. Other parks we have stayed at offered great customer service but the folks here are head and shoulders above everyone else. Check-in is super smooth and then you are escorted to your site. The roads in the park are very easy to navigate and there are no tress to snag your rig. Depending on your site you may or may not have shade trees. There is great separation between sites. Our site was hard packed gravel, level, and all utilities were easy to reach. There was ample room for our rig and our car. Cable worked great as did the free WiFi. Good Verizon signal. The laundry room was clean and reasonably priced. The entire park is well groomed and well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Whatever you need or want, ask at the front desk as they have numerous recommendations for shopping, eating out, attractions, service for your rig, etc. Take time to visit the Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor. There are two trolley tours of Acadia National Park out of Bar Harbor, we chose the National Park tour and were extremely satisfied with the narrated tour. We also went on a nature cruise with the Bar Harbor Whale Watching Company and it was super.
