Red Apple is a pleasant CG that resembles a seasonal village. There are many semi-permanently installed trailers and fifth wheels with porches, roofs, gardens, etc. It is extraordinarily tidy and well-kept. Even the very small dog run has clean toys to use! Some of the back-in sites are hard to get into because of trees; our rv is only 30' and it took us two tries. We liked having lobsters delivered to us for dinner from an antique truck. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is clean and well maintained. The wi-fi and cable worked great. The owners and staff were very friendly. The restrooms were clean and had private, lockable shower stalls, but the mats were very uncomfortable (like stepping on Legos). I recommend wearing some flip-flops or water shoes. You also have to push a button every 60 seconds to keep the shower running. The best part is that you can have whole cooked lobsters delivered right to your door at 5:30 every night! They were delicious! We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

There's a great food truck at Ross Rd. & US 1 with wonderful lobster rolls and other seafood. The beaches and shopping areas of Kennebunkport are very close.

This is an amazing campground with very nice and friendly owners. This place is clean and well cared for and the new pool is wonderful. The owner takes pride in the pool and the campground. Other campers were extremely friendly and a lot of fun. If you are into parties and don't like grass or being somewhat close to your neighbor then this is not for you. If you are into quiet, relaxing clean campgrounds then this is the place for you. We did not make it to the Sat night band but the afternoon free cookout was great and very nice to be offered to all, thank you for that. We have booked for next year already. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We wanted to like this campground; however, the owner was rude and arrogant with us. Sites packed close together. Did not live up to expectations. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The previous reviews are accurate - this is an excellent campground for it's purpose. Very clean, quiet, good management. My rating is for a campground used as a base for travel in the Kennebunkport area. It is not a campground for the "camping experience". We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lot's of places have lobster rolls. We found Alisson's (at the docks) to be the best. Lot's of fun activities at night at Bentley's.

Five stars! This peaceful and immaculate campground easily ranks among our top five. The $67 daily rate seemed a bit pricey, and the included WiFi was just okay - not spectacular. In full disclosure - we are full-timers, which may explain why cost and WiFi are so important. That said, a serene "woodsy" setting, pool, pickleball court, and fresh steamed lobster delivered to your campsite, elevate Red Apple to the top of our list. Did I mention the place is IMMACULATE? We would - WILL - stay here again. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautifully maintained campground. The staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. This is a great base camp to explore the Southern Maine area. The campground is the cleanest and well maintained one at which we've stayed. The 10 rating was due to this. They bill themselves as a clean and quiet place to stay and they are. If you are looking for a campground with many activities or a pool, chose another one. Also, they do not allow motorcycles to be operated in the campground from 8 pm until 8 am which could be a problem if you are traveling by one. The office staff were friendly and helpful and suggested some great side trips to take. Be sure to ask for suggestions when you stay there. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit Ogunquit and take a boat ride to Nubble Light and then have lunch at Barnicle Billy's. There is a hand operated draw bridge in Peter's Cove that is fund to watch and anyone over 18 can operate it. It is about 30 minutes from the campground.

We loved this campground and its' staff! If you stay here, you must treat yourself to the lobster dinner offered by the management. You lace your order in the morning and it is delivered piping hot to your site at about 5 PM. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

We spent a week at Red Apple & found it just about perfect. Check-in was pleasant, quick and the fact that they don't take credit cards & only take checks was no problem for us. A very quiet campground, in spite of the number of people there. The full hookups were well located & functional. The wi-fi was a fit sporadic at times. If staying in late August/early September, it would beneficial to request a site away from the oak trees, which drop their acorns loudly! Many seasonals, but those sites are well kept & nicely landscaped, as was the entire campground. Everyone was very friendly, staff & visitors alike. The bathhouse was immaculate, as was the laundry room which appeared that the front loading washers & dryers were brand new. There was a small enclosure where our dog could be off-leash, complete with dog toys. Also, it was fun to walk with him around the pretty campground, visiting with other campers, seasonals and their dogs. We took advantage of the lobster delivery right to our picnic table on 2 occasions. Steamed, ready to eat, absolutely delicious & much less expensive than one would pay in a restaurant/ Red Apple is well located to explore Kennebunkport, Wells, Cape Neddick, Ogunquit & York. And we drove a bit north one day (1/2 hour trip) & took the dog friendly Casco Bay Mailboat tour. This is a highly recommended campground. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This RV park is beautiful, very comfortable, well maintained and well run. Only complaints were not all sites have cable and management prohibits use of washers and dryers in your RV. Sites are nicely spaced, lots of grass, some shade but good satellite reception, lots of amenities but no pool. A mix of seasonal, park models, RV and tent sites. Restrooms are in middle of park and were always clean. The showers are free and the water is super hot. No easy access to restrooms from perimeter sites so you saw a lot of folks/kids cutting thru occupied sites. WiFi was really slow. Water and electric both good. Great location to explore southern Maine coast. Would stay here again. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sites B41 and B33 are pull thru, 50 amp with cable. All other pull thrus lack cable. Paved sites are asphalt, not concrete, and management requires that you put pads under your jacks/levelers.

We pulled in and noticed right away how clean and manicured the campground was. We were in a rented camper without a towed vehicle. We parked and hooked up and realized we had forgotten to get vital supplies at the store. The owner came by to check on us and when we told him our situation, he loaned us his SUV to go into town. We then had a lobster dinner delivered to our camp site. The next day he came by and picked all 6 of us up in his SUV and took us on a 2 hour tour of Kennibunkport. The restrooms and showers were very clean and there is a clubhouse with a pool table. The campground, facilities, and owners (Dave and Jane) are OUTSTANDING! I have been renting campers for over 30 years and have traveled all over the U.S. I highly recommended this campground. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

Paved roads and pads for the RV. Grass around the site was good. Sites are level and a good deal of space in between sites. There are a lot of full time trailers here. Probably mostly summer homes considering this is Maine. A lot of activities in the area. Management/owners are super helpful, competent and friendly. They are the best asset here. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Really liked this campground though I didn't expect to after our wacky entry off I-95 and the back roads we encountered. We took one look at the recommended track and said, no way. Turns out we were wrong and should have followed the campground directions. Ross Road is not as bad as it looks, go ahead and take the turn. Stayed in a pull through with a small turnout for our car, just couldn't be better. Try to get a pull through if you're a big rig, but you can also get a back in with 30 amp. Most of the property seems to be seasonal but so nicely kept you'll be very pleased. And couldn't ask for a more pleasant front office staff. No pool, although we weren't looking for it in October. Close to Kennebunkport and all the restaurants and shopping there. Don't miss this one. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean and well cared for campground. It is quiet and well situated just outside of Kennebunkport. Interior roads and campsite pads are paved. Spacing is very adequate but not overly long for big rigs. We camped here in a 40 RV and had very little space for our tow vehicle. The biggest drawback is it is cash or check only, no credit cards. It has lots of trees so satellite is difficult. The Wi-Fi is reasonable at our site. We would probably stay here again. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.

I will make this very short. This is an excellent place to stay. This CG is squeaky clean. Staff members ride around all day making sure the place is clean. The location makes it very easy to visit Wells, Kennebunk and Saco. This place comes highly recommended. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Motorhome.
