50 Parks near Lebanon, Maine
Jul 2016 - $54.00
We stayed here in a 40' coach and had plenty of room on our back in site. The water pressure was good. And the wifi and cable were excellent. The park is very clean with several doggie bag stations. The owners were very friendly and helpful with information about the area. We will stay here again when in the area. - Michael47
Jun 2016 - $54.00
This is the 2nd time we stayed at Hemlock Grove Campground. It is located just north of Kennybunk on Rt 1 and away from all the hustle/bustle of Ogonquit and Wells but with good location to points north and south
The campground was exceptionally clean as well as the restrooms and showers. They have a store with all the essentials. The owners were very friendly and provided information and directions to us on seeing lighthouses and beaches in the area.
The campground itself is basic but very nicely laid out. Excellent WiFi and cable. The sites are mostly wooded and ample room for each and every site. There are some permanent sites but the majority sites are for campers traveling in and through the area
There is no pool but the seashore is a 10 minute drive away with plenty of beaches to be had and lobstaaah shacks and seafood restaurants galore. There is a basic playground for the kids. They offer comedy shows on some weekends in their closed pavilion, which I thought was pretty darn cool
Interior roads were hard packed, wide enough, and easy to negotiate. There is a slight road noise but our site was towards the front and most of the noise was filtered out by the trees so it was not a big problem. We heard no noise inside our 31' motorhome. We most would definitely come back here again when in or passing through the area. - Banditoman60
Sep 2015 - $53.00
The park was easy to find and maneuver through. Staff was friendly and helpful with info about the area, restaurants, etc. Wifi & cable were good. Our site was gravel and well enough spaced from our neighbors. There was some road noise but it wasn't too bad. The laundry room was clean and the washer and dryers worked nicely. Would definitely stay here again when back in the area. - virginia camper
Jul 2016 - $69.00
We wanted to like this campground; however, the owner was rude and arrogant with us. Sites packed close together. Did not live up to expectations. - Cooksvillewildcat
Jul 2016 - $67.00
This is an amazing campground with very nice and friendly owners. This place is clean and well cared for and the new pool is wonderful. The owner takes pride in the pool and the campground. Other campers were extremely friendly and a lot of fun. If you are into parties and don't like grass or being somewhat close to your neighbor then this is not for you. If you are into quiet, relaxing clean campgrounds then this is the place for you. We did not make it to the Sat night band but the afternoon free cookout was great and very nice to be offered to all, thank you for that. We have booked for next year already. - Happy Camper X2
Jun 2016 - $67.00
Five stars! This peaceful and immaculate campground easily ranks among our top five. The $67 daily rate seemed a bit pricey, and the included WiFi was just okay - not spectacular. In full disclosure - we are full-timers, which may explain why cost and WiFi are so important. That said, a serene "woodsy" setting, pool, pickleball court, and fresh steamed lobster delivered to your campsite, elevate Red Apple to the top of our list. Did I mention the place is IMMACULATE? We would - WILL - stay here again. - CO2RV
Jul 2015 - $26.00
We discovered this gem last year. After a weekend there we made it our seasonal "summer home". The grounds are immaculate with beautiful flowers and manicured lawns. There are sites for everyone's taste (70 shaded and 30 sunny). The fire wood continues to be free and it is pet friendly (on leash). Heated built in pool, club house and a lovely large 7 acre pond to canoe or kayak on. It is adult only (which is great and what drew us there in the first place). There are 150 acres with many trails to walk. If your looking for a noisy, bustling, golf cart filled campground then this isn't for you. If you want beauty, peaceful relaxation and nature wrapped up with great people then this is it! I suggest you give Potters Place a try!!! - Dianne W.
Jun 2015 - $26.00
Quiet, basic adult campground. Lovely large seasonal lots, well maintained. Overnighters are together in tree shaded section. Hook ups were fine, fairly level site, lots of trees/shrubs between sites gives extra "privacy." Owner/staff helpful and friendly. Pump out available for a fee, otherwise dump station is well positioned and set up. Sort of a "hidden gem" (and I hate to give the secret away) and it is easy to get a site. perfect for these two adults and 2 small dogs to get away in July/Aug w/o kids in the pool / The pool is very nicely maintained. WE ARE going back next year. - pugdad
Jul 2008 - $40.00
"I've never posted a 1 review of any campground before, in our opinion it should be Zero" We agree with this person. Never have we seen a campground in such deplorable condition. After driving in, and seeing the condition the first few sites were in, we explored further, and after going to the pool, and the toilet areas, we bypassed the office, and headed down the road. Awful, awful, awful. - riggarob
Jun 2016 - $70.00
Very clean and staff very friendly. - LSM55
Aug 2015 - $93.00
Very seldom do I say that I absolutely love an RV park, but I really did love this one. I'm more of a "Glamper", so a super clean campground is very important to me. They have great security, are family and pet friendly and the trolley stops right at the campground. They allow campers to enjoy themselves , but that should not to be confused with letting campers get away with being ridiculous and rowdy. They do have campground personnel occasionally driving around day and night to keep an eye on things.
The daily rate for this campground is the highest that I've ever paid in New England but in my opinion was worth it. Although there were many open sites during the week, they could probably fill them up if they dropped the price a bit. I stayed twice during the summer and saw lots of empty sites during the week both times. During the weekends the place was packed. They have tent sites and RV sites. If you have an RV that's 25 feet or longer, I suggest you get a deluxe or premier site. My only complaint is the fire pit seemed to be more on my neighbor side than on mine and my neighbors fire pit was close to our vehicle.
To be honest, I was a little skeptical about this campground because I had read some previous reviews which caused me to have concerns, namely that some of the office staff had bad attitudes. However, they were ok during my stay. My only comment is that they are very busy during check-in and people should cut them some slack. That said, they still need to smile more and remember they are in the hospitality industry. Word-of-mouth goes a long way. When you're nice to the campers they will return. Overall this is a great campground. - CusiesMom
Aug 2015 - $80.00
The best campground we have ever been at....Its expensive, but the place is great. Close to everything, clean, friendly, large, wifi is great...We have been coming here for 3 years and will continue... - Squappy
Aug 2006 - $52.00
Extremely clean campground. Showers and park are kept up well. Lots of activities within the campground and surrounding areas. You can walk to the beach from the campground. They upgraded a section of the park this year and added sewer and cable hookups. - Rx for relaxation
Aug 2015 - $34.00
I have nothing bad to say.
This campground is awesome beautiful beaches yes there are 2 clean restroom are plentiful free wi/fi. All over the park the week we stayed the had a free pig roast. It was great so much to do I got dizzy. Had to let the world know this place is the best. - Happy sober camper
Aug 2015 - $54.00
This facility normally requests a 3 day stay, as they say "to keep out partiers and riff raff" We were tired and they made an exception for us, as we were "an older couple!" What a beautiful park. Yes the roads were a little rough but you expect that in a heavily wooded area with old trees! They offer nice amenities including boat and paddleboard rentals. They have laundry facilities, propane and a store on site. Showers and restrooms wonderful. They also rent cabins. It was a little spendy, but would make a great facility for a family reunion. Their checkout time is 1:00. They have two beaches on lake. So much to do here, no need to leave park! - DigMyPast
Aug 2012 - $42.00
I really liked this campground. It would have been a 9 or a 10 had it not been for the condition of their roads and the fact they had us in a site that was a little difficult to get into, evidenced by the fact that we ended up ripping our awning on a tree. After we had finally gotten into our site, the stay there was really nice. The owners were very nice and helpful (especially in helping us get out of our bind) and as we were leaving they wished us well and hoped we would return next year. The lake was beautiful and very clean. There were many seasonal campers but the overall vibe of the campground was "family". Quiet hours were indeed quiet, all hookups worked great, including the free Wi-Fi. Cable is available and had a good amount of channels. Overall, it was a nice weekend away and we enjoyed our stay here. - DeannaS
Jul 2015 - $25.00
We stayed at Circle 9 for 12 days while waiting for Camping World to process some warranty work on our RV. We chose Circle 9 based on the five minute drive to Camping World and past reviews. The good: Site 127 is a pull through and we had no issues getting setup. We were guided to our spot by Sonny, the owner, and he made sure we had everything we needed. Water and electric were fine, wifi was upgraded during our stay and worked well, except when the park was full during NASCAR race weekend, then it was intermittent.
The bad: The pull through sites are not the widest and alternate directions so our door faced our neighbors. This also meant sharing a picnic table and fire ring. This would be ok if camping with friends, but could pose a challenge with strangers. Our first weekend there a majority of the seasonal campers were out in force and the beer was flowing. A group of them setup at the horseshoe pits, which are near the temporary sites, and were getting rowdy, although the owner did send them back to their sites when he felt they were getting carried away. Quite a few seasonals don't leash their dogs and others who did had such long leads that dogs could still get near the roads which made walking our dogs challenging. The temporary sites are in an open field with no shade from the sun at any time of day. If the temperatures are moderate then its ok, otherwise expect your A/C to work overtime.
The pool was open but we did not use it.
We did hear the new owner has been in place for a year now and he does keep order when needed and seems to be keeping many in line. We need to be back in the area for more RV work so we most likely will return to Circle 9 after comparing it to other campgrounds in the area. - pfogleboch
Jul 2014 - $85.00
This has to be the worst campground I ever stayed in. I came to this location because it was close to NASCAR. It was 90 degrees and the pool wasn’t open. Looks like it has been inoperable for some time…wish they would have told us. The limited sites that they have are very small with one utility pool per 2 sites. Every other RV parks in opposite direction…meaning my door was facing my neighbors door. I think my awning and my neighbors were only a few feet apart. The seasonal campers weren’t just seasoning it appears they live there with make shift enclosures over very old travel trailer. Not a very desirable clientele. You had to pay for WIFI, bathrooms were dated and at this cost I would have expected a much nicer campground. This is a quick overnight stay location that shouldn’t cost more that $25-$30 dollars. - E597283
Jun 2014 - $31.00
We were very disappointed by this park. Sites were uneven and rocky. The only shade was around the pond where the tent campers were. There were a couple of perms or semi-perms whose owners rode loud motorcycles, sometimes long after quiet hours began. There is also some sort of night club on the premises that was very loud on Saturday night, again during quiet hours. We will not camp here again. - Dave and Judy Haney
Jul 2015 - $50.00
Great campground with very friendly and patriotic owners. Very well groomed sites, with much variety and lots of privacy in the wooded layout. We will definitely return. - Mr Joe P
May 2015 - $55.00
This was our 4th visit here and it is just a nice place with great owners. Our site has been great, large, level with room to spare. Some parts of the campground, near the water, put in by the original owners can be tight but you get a view. This campground was quite dusty this weekend with it being so dry. They water the roads to keep some of the dust down. The owners are always doing something to clean or improve something. Just a great campground. If there was a negative, it was with a few campers who feel the leash rule for dogs did not apply to them as one day we had 3 different dogs come after our dog. We will return at some point to camp again. - Happy Camper X2
May 2014 - $45.00
We just like it here, clean, neat and nice owners. Our site was large. It fit the 35 foot RV as well as 2 cars and the ez up with room to spare. We bought a pallet of wood for $48 which was more than enough to last the 3 day weekend. We will be back next year. - Happy Camper X2
May 2016 - $61.00
This is a very clean and very friendly park. The office/store staff are very nice as are the owners. The hookups at each site are very up to date and work very good. The campground is maintained very nice and everything looked great. We try to get here every year as we love it and fine it very peaceful. The pool complex is very nice and many are able to enjoy it. I was a holiday weekend but the noise was not bad at all, maybe a camper or two but no issues. Seasonal camps are neat and although there are golf carts, most all drive very slow and responsible. - Happy Camper X2
Oct 2015 - $40.00
We spent two nights here just at the end of the park's season so services were limited. It is a green, scenic place and is very quiet and restful. There are only a few spaces for big rigs and no pull-thrus. We unhooked the car and backed into our site and it was fine. - george r
Sep 2015 - $61.00
We love this campground, this was our 4th trip there. Our first time since the water slide and splash park has opened. We were able to enjoy that new area as well as the pool, it was very relaxing. Staff and seasonals were very friendly, the store is well stocked and sites are large. Just about everything about this campground is great, the only thing that could be better would be the wifi. We have already booked a weekend for next year. - Happy Camper X2
