34 Parks near Old Orchard Beach, Maine
Jul 2012 - $45.00
What this campground has going for it is that's it's about 10 minutes from Old Orchard Beach. And that's really the only reason to stay here. The sites are un-level, packed close together, and a bit run down. We didn't swim at the pool, but it looked well kept. Everyone was friendly and it was fairly quiet. - lopenzani
Jun 2012 - $45.00
This is an older park in need of some upgrades, but it is 3 blocks from the ocean and is a quick 5 minute walk to downtown Old Orchard Beach and the Palace Playland on the beach. Sites are pretty basic and not very wide, but have trees along the back of each site and gravel drive-in with some grass between sites. The bathhouse/office is an older block building and could definitely use an update, but that being said, the bathrooms are clean, though very out of date with peeling paint, 1950s hardware and rubber mats on the floors. There is a good pool for the kids, and the area is nice. The firerings at each site are, I think, old washing machine tubs. Whatever they are, they do the job. We would stay here again, but we need only a place with services to park the RV and don't need all the frills. The price of the sites does go along with the lack of services. Most sites at the other campgrounds are $20-$30 more per night than here at Ne're Family Campground. - MerryKalia
Jul 2016 - $75.00
Beautiful campground near Old Orchard Beach. Easy access to downtown by trolley ($1.00 ea way). Quiet, clean, secure, great sites and a friendly staff. A little pricey but worth it. Would stay there again. - EllieH55
Aug 2015 - $75.00
The site we were assigned was very clean and with new equipment, the staff was very helpful. A bit cramped and there are no views of really anything but a wall...considering how close we were to the beach it's a good spot.
We stayed only one night, so this is a great overnight stay which we did on our way to Bar Harbor. - koeka
Aug 2014 - $58.00
Stayed here 2 weeks. Nice clean park. Loved trolley service for only a buck. Liked the dog area--used it daily. Drawback was poor Wi-Fi; always had to go to office and tell them to reboot to get working again. They showed little concern. Laundromat was expensive. Staff weren't very friendly. That being said, we did like this park and hope to stay a month next year as family is close at a nearby RV resort. Hopefully correction to Wi-Fi will be made. - Israt45
Jul 2016 - $70.00
There is no sign coming in from the west. Contact the campground and follow their directions. The site we were assigned was just big enough for the motor home. We had to park our towed across the street. The campground is about two miles from the beach. - Cmacoll64
Jul 2011 - $40.00
This is not an RV Resort, it is a trailer park that has just a few sites that they use for RV's. Actually the sites are set up for a permanent and you have to adapt your RV to it. Roads are paved but narrow and the sites are very close together. Listened to music from the trailer next to us all night. Out of the 550 plus sites they probably only have 10 or so open RV sites that obviously have had a permanent on them at one time or another. Had it not been for an appointment we had the next day, we would have left. We felt like we were in a summer daycare center with all the kids that were out and about and screaming. Gas powered golf carts going by constantly and a lot of loud motorcycles. Wi-Fi for $ (never ask) and only works at the rec. hall. Good water pressure is about all that was good here. The staff that was around were not friendly and didn't acknowledge we were even there. - buckeye1268
Jul 2010 - $50.00
Exceptional pools. Nice rest rooms. Playground equipment in need of repair. 40 minute walk to beach. Shuttle to beach about every 1/2 hour for $1 per person each way. - Spencer65
Sep 2016 - $45.00
Everything about this campground is perfect:
Location - Close to Portland. In between Kennebunkport and Cape Elizabeth. In walking distance from the beach, boardwalk, and pier. Couple of blocks away from the bike path that connects Portsmouth and Portland.
Campground - There is something for everyone. Two pools, playground, pond, woods, open sites, private sites, community center. The campground is well maintained.
Management - The owners are super nice, ever present, ever helpful.
Great value, better amenities than nearby campgrounds at better price. - Catalina W
Aug 2016 - $52.00
Nice park, nice staff...great location. Narrow roadways, but workable. - DaveNH
Aug 2016 - $50.00
Well run immaculately maintained. Friendly helpful staff.
We took a back space in a new area which was very quiet. - Coffeetrader
Aug 2015 - $85.00
A crowded campground - but they all seem to be at Old Orchard. We stayed in the back, Pine Grove area, which was more private and had a new pool, which was lovely and private. Hate, hate, hate the razor wire fences at the front - it feels like a zoo trying to keep the animals in. But....it did grow on us. Sites near the back pool are nice... full sun - that is where we would get next.... pools at the front are nice... but right next to the road - would not want to have a site by the road - too noisy and crowded. Others we met said it was the nicest in Old Orchard area. Nice access to the beach. Trolley that goes downtown is handy. Fireworks on Thursday. Bathrooms are very clean, strict about bikes and fires after 11. Kids liked the ping pong, kids hot tub (a nice touch) and free mini putt. Speaking of kids - absolutely hate it when we are charged extra for the kids - this is supposed to be a family campground. Especially with teens, who are not partaking in too many camp children's activities. Dogs are also extra. With the Canadian dollar right now, this made for very expensive camping. Probably the most expensive campground we have been to. But... the campground is full, as many French Canadian families have been going there for years, and it is a desirable area. - User901
Sep 2014 - $40.00
We stayed here at the end of season when only about 25% of the campsites are open. The campground was very nice, clean, and quiet. It is conveniently located for sightseeing, shopping, and the beach. The staff was very helpful and offered great info on the area. The wifi was wonderful (our site was close to office); many cable TV channels to chose from. Would definitely stay here again. - Longhorn Fan
May 2014 - $49.00
What a great campground! Spring Rates for Memorial Day. Can't beat the price for such a great campground. We stayed on site 13Y and is near the seasonal sites. Very low traffic part of the campground. The bathhouse was always clean and the showers had great pressure. We were able to get a good wifi signal at our site and the pedestal had it all. Although we did not use the pool, there were people in the heated pool and the hot tubs. We enjoy this area especially being walking distance to Old Orchard Beach. We will return to this campground in the future. - clw_man
Jul 2016 - $42.00
This park was billed as a RV Resort, but reality is it is more of a mobile home/seasonal park with a few over night spaces. We were attracted to the park by the positive reviews, and the fact that they honored Passport America. The park itself had many family amenities, pool, kids water park, play ground, and even an outdoor theatre that played kids movies or cartoons most days. If you choose this park, be prepared for LOTS of kids, not always being monitored or supervised. The electric scooters and bikes were most troublesome, often in the hands of 6 - 10 year old's. Not getting hit or run over during our week stay was an accomplishment in itself. The roads of the park are paved but the sites are gravel. They are good size, however that didn't stop the neighbors and their kids from strolling through on their way to the pool. Weekends were particularly crazy, with tons of kids going every which way. The noise level in the park was pretty loud most nights, and just about always it was the permanent residents whooping it up until the wee hours. And there was no one to complain to as most of the workers in the office were young teens. We didn't see any dedicated handicapped sites, and the restrooms although new, were fairly cramped inside. Interestingly, the wash basins were on the outside wall of the restroom, and many mornings we were treated with watching various male campers shaving. There were also 2 washers and 2 dryers available at bathroom area, but those too were outside under a roof overhang. There was WiFi available at the park, but we used our Verizon service when we could. There was no pet walk area. That left you walk your pet down the many permanent lined streets, with the residents keeping a wary eye on you. To get to the OOB beach area a shuttle picks up right in front of the entry into the park and I believe was only $1 per person to ride. I think if we are ever back in the area we would look for someplace a little more RV oriented. - SargeW
Jul 2016 - $35.00
Stayed here under Passport America which made it a very good deal considering. The park has a lot of seasonals which we are finding the norm here in Maine. Our site was a level pull thru which was nice but not really needed. The streets are fairly narrow, especially if you are trying to back into a site that has other units parked across the street. Good spacing between sites. There is the usual train but you could barely hear it. In the site we were in, because of the tall pines, satellite was not in the picture but they do have cable. We would stay here again. - Mooney 201 Pilot
Jul 2015 - $60.00
Primary focus is seasonal. Short term area is tight and with apparent need for a campfire even on warm summer evenings you can get a lot of smoke. Better enforcement of quiet hours is needed. - Yoda45

They were just winding down for the season when we stayed for a couple of nights.
Nice park with lots of amenities, also its proximity to the beach (10 min walk) is great. Can see why it is popular.
Our site was easy to get in/out. Services were easy to access. Site was level. Staff helpful. - Our-Wandering-Casa
Jul 2016 - $79.00
We stayed here again with friends and this place just puzzles me. We made a last minute reservation because of a cancellation. The reservation is lacking as site are empty but they have them listed as full. The good about this stay is we could walk to the beach and into town, our site was good size, the pool was close by and the noise was not bad. There is a train that is close (a track and freight) but that does not bother me. Check in was fine. The site was dirty with cigarette butts and other trash, it would have been nice if that was picked up. We had a couple fires even with the hot weather, hook ups were fine and the wifi was great. I cannot put my finger on it but I just cannot warm up to this place. Anyway, good for the beach but for me, that is it. - Happy Camper X2
Jul 2016 - $70.00
Very fast check-in. Nice level site with ample 50 amp, water, and sewer. Tree shaded us well. I needed to use printer/scanner and the gal at the desk allowed me to use their office equipment, very nice! We rode our bikes to the beach, took no time at all. Pools were clean and well kept. Overall a very nice park and I would be happy to return. - Paul2015
Sep 2016 - $30.00
What can I say, other than the folks there are super super nice, it was mostly quiet (not traffic noise, but frequent train whistle), and the bath house was one of the cleanest ever! We were near to one of the bathhouses and I swear the guy was there cleaning every hour.
Some sites are tight, some spacious. They want to fit you in based on size of your rig. We were given a number of sites to look at when we checked in. No one stayed next to us so if felt larger then it would have if all the sites were full. This said, all the sites are nestled in nicely among the trees.
Pool and playground areas looked amazing, although we did not use either. We are thinking this will be a great place to come back to for a few days next summer with the grand-kids. An oddity was that the fire 'rings' were used washer drums. On the one hand, they were portable, on the other hand, they were tall and narrow, so the fire was not as visible. We will be back.
Our rate was off season and for W/E only (it had cable too, but that normally is more in the high season). They wanted to add $10./night for a sewer site when we arrived. - brentp
Aug 2016 - $45.00
Very Spacious Site in Premium Section
Family Friendly Campground
Pool was spacious and lots of children playing
Trolley stops right in front of campground
Location is superb to Old Orchard Beach. You can walk to the beach in 15 minutes
Staff was very kind
Fit Pit Pot was so high you could barely enjoy the fire. It was literally 2 feet round on all sides. - RVThatFamily
Jul 2016 - $65.00
We stayed for 5 nights and had another couple and their daughter join us. Our daughters really enjoyed the heated pool and playground. Old Orchard Beach is half a mile down the road, thus an easy walk, and there is a trolley that stops just outside the entrance to the campground. That makes it a quick trip and eliminates the need to drive into town and park. The rest rooms were sparkling clean and all the employees were very nice and helpful. - Tom Killackey
Aug 2016 - $47.00
Access to this campground from 195 is very easy. Shopping and entertainments are close by. The people who work here are friendly and helpful. Sites are a little too close for me, especially when the neighbors want to have their campfire burning all day and night. Our site was very level and we had a tree for shade. The entire campground is kept very neat. We stayed here for 11 days, having some family members visit for a few days. Their only complaint was that the pay showers had poor water pressure. In general I think most campers are here for the nearby beaches and towns. A very nice surprise for us was the use of the Eastern Trail that runs for many miles north and south, that is accessible from the campground. We did a lot of walking while we were here. I would recommend this campground. - dbcordello
Sep 2015 - $30.00
Their website says their rates are $44.00-50.00, we paid Passport America 1/2 price rate of $30.00. This must be new math. Mostly seasonal park models or older trailers that have been there a good long time. Our site was wide and long enough to accommodate coach and car. Park was quiet but we were here after Labor Day so not a lot of seasonal people in park. Shower was clean and adequate but water pressure and temperature of water were terrible. - beach walker
Sep 2015 - $35.00
Rate is for out of season. Lovely place with mostly seasonal occupants. Only negative is poor wifi, but Verizon hotspot worked okay. Great walking trail next to park. Also an RV dealer within easy walking distance if you need parts or RV supplies. Very nice office staff. Convenient to Old Orchard Beach and Portland. Our site was level and easy to get in and out. Would definitely stay again if in area. - all4pets
Jul 2016 - $88.00
Everything was super clean and in good working order. Pool was perfect, bathroom and shower house were immaculate. Employees were friendly. Campsite was clean and ours was large (some didn't appear as large). There were a lot of trees. - Jennylou
Sep 2015 - $59.00
Great campground for the Old Orchard Beach / Portland Area, oh did I mention super clean ! We stayed here for three nights in mid September and would return in a second if visiting the area again. Amazingly clean, well manicured and a super friendly staff. We stayed in site # 47, this is a pull through gravel site with more then enough room for our 33' motorhome and toad. Electric was good along with water, sewer and cable. Great off leash dog park. I did hear a little traffic noise but nothing that would keep you up at night with the windows open. Very short drive to beaches and Portland. - bug512
Sep 2015 - $45.00
We just left after spending the entire summer here for the third year in a row. They have made substantial improvements since last year and are planning on more over the winter. One of these improvements will be removing some more trees and possibly more sites that are truly big-rig friendly. We're already making plans to return next year for the season. There may be something better and cheaper, but we aren't willing to risk giving up on something that works perfectly for us. - DavidKSmith
