The park has very nice sites with central hook ups. The roads are very wide with no issues with overhanging branches. We feel without the discount this park is way too expensive. There is a trolley that comes right to the park for transportation into town or the beach, this should be used as parking near the beach is a major issue. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Like the last person posted the roads were narrow. We had a pull thru site and it was tight to get into. I ended up going around to the front and backing into it. The campground had a nice pool and younger kids water park. It had a secured entrance to and from the campground. The campground is about a 5 minute drive to the ocean. They did have a lot of seasonal campers, but we never saw many people out of their campers. We enjoyed the campground and the management at it was very friendly. We used the Passport America discount. We would stay here again. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is easy access to I-95 and Old Orchard Beach area. The staff was friendly and helpful at check in. Campground is gated with electronic access cards given to the campers. Even though we didn't use the restrooms or laundry, they have one right next to the non-seasonal spaces. We will stay again. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here under Passport America which made it a very good deal considering. The park has a lot of seasonals which we are finding the norm here in Maine. Our site was a level pull thru which was nice but not really needed. The streets are fairly narrow, especially if you are trying to back into a site that has other units parked across the street. Good spacing between sites. There is the usual train but you could barely hear it. In the site we were in, because of the tall pines, satellite was not in the picture but they do have cable. We would stay here again. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park was billed as a RV Resort, but reality is it is more of a mobile home/seasonal park with a few over night spaces. We were attracted to the park by the positive reviews, and the fact that they honored Passport America. The park itself had many family amenities, pool, kids water park, play ground, and even an outdoor theatre that played kids movies or cartoons most days. If you choose this park, be prepared for LOTS of kids, not always being monitored or supervised. The electric scooters and bikes were most troublesome, often in the hands of 6 - 10 year old's. Not getting hit or run over during our week stay was an accomplishment in itself. The roads of the park are paved but the sites are gravel. They are good size, however that didn't stop the neighbors and their kids from strolling through on their way to the pool. Weekends were particularly crazy, with tons of kids going every which way. The noise level in the park was pretty loud most nights, and just about always it was the permanent residents whooping it up until the wee hours. And there was no one to complain to as most of the workers in the office were young teens. We didn't see any dedicated handicapped sites, and the restrooms although new, were fairly cramped inside. Interestingly, the wash basins were on the outside wall of the restroom, and many mornings we were treated with watching various male campers shaving. There were also 2 washers and 2 dryers available at bathroom area, but those too were outside under a roof overhang. There was WiFi available at the park, but we used our Verizon service when we could. There was no pet walk area. That left you walk your pet down the many permanent lined streets, with the residents keeping a wary eye on you. To get to the OOB beach area a shuttle picks up right in front of the entry into the park and I believe was only $1 per person to ride. I think if we are ever back in the area we would look for someplace a little more RV oriented. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The staff were very helpful. They are pet friendly. There is a Trolley Stop on site so you don't need to take your car and pay $10-$20 a day parking. You can take all your beach gear on Trolley with you. The only complaint I and another woman had was the bathroom/shower light movement sensor was set for 3 minutes and it does not detect movement in the stalls! Gets dark FAST! We stayed in site A 11. It was conveniently located in the park. It was a back in no sewer but had cable water and 30 amp. Very clean. and level. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Places to eat: Rapid Rays...icon in town Hamburgers!

Skippers, a family owned restaurant specializes in seafood, but has diverse menu including hotdogs, sandwiches, wraps, Mexican and other foods. Fast service and family oriented. Economical compared to most in area.

This area has many things for all. Carnivals, bars, shopping and most areas covered by the $1 Trolley! Hop-on, Hop-off!

Primary focus is seasonal. Short term area is tight and with apparent need for a campfire even on warm summer evenings you can get a lot of smoke. Better enforcement of quiet hours is needed. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Passport America is the only reason we stayed here for two nights on our way back south from northern Maine. If you have kids this is the place to be. We do not. Mainly seasonal so if you want to stay a few days, harder and cramped area. The short term sites are small, close together and full of tents and kids. We had electric, water and cable. The half off PA price was worth it though. The pool is right out of window and the basketball courts and other kids play area, right next to us. The entire area is a beach playground. If you want boardwalk type stuff and have kids to entertain this is great. We only staying on our way south and would try something else next time. Verizon coverage good - not great but enough for me to make good calls and slower but steady data. Close to the other small towns so we could explore the area. Did I mention cheap? Everything worked well. Recently bought by Sun so improvements were obvious. Gated entrance. Close to things you need. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park with many seasonals and park models. The amenities were awesome. They had an adult pool and hot tub. The children's pool was full and it looked like they had a blast. The sites are dirt and gravel with some grass. The park was close enough to Portland for touring. They have a shuttle that takes you to the beach on the half hour all day. All in all, an enjoyable, clean park. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here to use our Passport America discount which is reflected in the rate. We were given one of the newly-graveled sites along the railroad tracks in the back of the park, which initially concerned us. There was a bit of train traffic, especially the first night, but in all it wasn't too bad. The gravel was extremely loose and kind of a challenge to walk or drive on, but they just layed it down the day before we got there, so that's understandable. They were also laying sod in various areas of the park that had been damaged from the fire earlier this year. It's a nice park, with the majority of site occupied by seasonal park models, but they are all exceptionally well maintained, and there are numerous activities for the kids. The bathrooms were clean and updated, although oddly enough, all the sinks are located on the outside wall of the bathhouse and not inside. So it's a little strange standing there shaving or whatever in the wide open. Park entrance is gated with a required key card for entry, which is a nice security touch. We were here in mid-July, and thought we would stay here one night and scope the area for another campground but as it turned out, all campgrounds were full because this is the busy season here. We ended up staying here for 6 nights, and while not the greatest RV park we've ever stayed at, it was certainly sufficient for our needs. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very comfortable. Lots of Park Models and seasonal guests. Part of the Sun system. Professional service, good roads, nice sized sites. Convenient to the Kennebunks and very pretty coastal drives. “A lobster on every corner.” FHU 50 amp $28/night for two nights with PA discount. Great value for a short stopover. Pay Wi-Fi at site, or free hot spot at store. Would stay again. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We are retired full-time RVers from S. CA traveling the USA. We reserved our 4-night stay through Sun RV using a coupon (buy 3 nights, get 1 free). Sun recently acquired this campground and has done some nice upgrades (new laundry and shower facility). The pool looked nice but we didn't use it (too many kids). Everything is neat and tidy. We had full-hookup the first 3 nights and had to move the 4th night to a site with only elec/water. We find Maine campground prices outrageous. A trolley comes by the park regularly to pick up and drop off for only $1 per trip per person. It's an easy transport to the Old Orchard Pier. The campground is near to all the charming towns...Scarborough, Kennebunkport, Biddeford Pool, Portland and other charming towns. We would stay here again. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
