23 Parks near Oxford, Maine
Jul 2016 - $40.00
This is an excellent KOA located close to Freeport Maine and is well maintained and very clean. Roads leading to the park are marginal, at best, and need to be navigated very carefully (obviously Maine needs to put some money in road maintenance). Campsites are either in the open (pull throughs) or in the woods (typically back-ins), some have dumps but all have electricity and water. When making the reservation you can choose what type site you want--obviously cost of the site is dependant on the amenities. There's a lot for kids to do with train rides through the campground on weekends. WiFi is inadequate for a park this big. I could always log on but sometimes the signal was so slow everything timed out. Verizon coverage was poor but OTA Television was great. We enjoyed this KOA so much extended our stay three days. Highly recommended. - fruffiii
Jul 2016 - $41.00
We stayed here for two nights. They advertise pony rides and blow up slide. When we arrived they said the slide only is blown up Wednesday's and Saturday's. The pony rides? She didn't know when they were if they were doing them. We were charged more than we were quoted and had issues with refunding the differences. The internet was off and on. The dump station was backwards and you had to go out of your way to use it the correct side. For a KOA, it was not up to the standard we are used to. Customer service was terrible and they never apologized for the mix up.
I would NOT stay here again. If you advertise "fun" activities for the kids, you should either note on your website when they are or not offered. - aka4170
Jun 2016 - $45.00
Everything here is hunky dory. Large roomy site, huge dog park, bags to gather dog waste, the best brick oven pizza on Friday night. The only draw back might be that it is a ways to the interstate. - User1308
May 2009 - $32.00
We just visited the park for our 3rd year in a row to enjoy the clean-up weekend. The owner's are great people and super hosts. We enjoyed our stay and the lake is still wonderful with great views of the mountains. The campground is clean, the seasonal are very friendly and the sites have modern hookups. I would suggest this park. - mwebber78

Great swimming hole, Kids had a good time. - gill73115
May 2007 - $35.00
We camped here in the early Spring. Very nice camp hosts, and the campground is tidy and clean. I thought the views from the lake were spectacular and the sounds of loons at night were very nice. The only downside is the train tracks on the road side of the campground, the train does get a bit loud. However I wouldn't say it was a big deal and is obviously something the owners have no control of and during the summer I would think the tree's would buffer the sound more (Spring, were no leaves). - mwebber78
Jun 2015 - $45.00
Colonial Mast is a very nice campground. The office staff was very nice from the time of booking to when we arrived. We were in the area to attend Maine's Blues Festival. The road leading to the campground as well as the roads in the campground are a little narrow. We were able to maneuver our 30 foot trailer without too much difficulty. There are some low lying tree limbs that could be trimmed. Our site was a little tight. The pedestal was at the very rear of the site. We had to park as far back as possible just to reach the power. It took all of the cable that we had just to reach. By having to move all the way to the back of the site meant that the sewer pipe was up hill. Water pressure was good! The campground is on a beautiful lake named Long Lake. They have canoes, paddle boats, and a great swimming area. The campground does have an indoor pool. However, they charge $2.00 per person to use the pool each time and only during the hours they have listed as "open swim". The views of the lake are very nice and this has to be one of the quietest campgrounds that we have stayed at. We would stay here again if we are in the area. - clw_man
Jun 2014 - $36.00
Fire wood was delivered to our site promptly. The nearly level site was big enough to have a fire and not bother other campers. We used the site mainly as a place to sleep. Sites are gravel. The roads in this older campground are tight but well marked. Many of the sites are well maintained seasonal sites We had site 40 and the electric kept tripping our surge protector. Discussed this with the campground manager and he says that this problem and the addition of 50 amp sites will be added this fall/next spring. We have stayed there many times in the past and will stay next time we are in the area. - debandi12
Jun 2008 - $27.00
Small seasonal campground, with some weekend site available. - jedcad
Jun 2016 - $49.00
We enjoyed swimming in the lake. The beach was great! Our site was long enough for our motorhome and to park our car. The staff was very friendly. We had to jump start our battery in our car and the maintenance person helped us. - Sherry527
Oct 2015 - $38.00
Overnight at this campground. Front office very friendly. We had to drive a bit out of the way, however it was located on a lake and clean. Full hookups. Lots of seasonal rentals. We would return next time in area. - MsRoads
Jul 2015 - $57.00
Our first trip and a pleasant surprise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a true campground and not a resort which IS what we expected. Site was on the smaller size but fit what we needed to fit. There was a burnt out electric outlet at the site which was 15 amp. Looking around I noticed the back corner of our site and the site in front of us had a couple 30 amp. Unfortunately my cord was about 4 feet short. Have never had this happen before and had never bought a $55 extension cord. Before hooking up and moving the trailer, I headed to the office. They had a cord for sale but I asked and they had one a could borrow. They had it delivered to the site. So all was good.
For dinner I checked out the snack bar which was close to our site. Great selection and a bunch of friendly people there. It was busy but I ordered a pizza and it was very good. Later went back for an ice cream. They had plenty of other things and by the size of the crowd, it all must have been good.
The beach and lake were amazing. Clean and beautiful. They rake down the beach at night. There is a beach hut with all the things you need, ice, sun screen, sand toys etc. makes for a nice stay. There are boat docks for rent and boats for rent as well.
For renters,I'm thought this was cool, they had raised platforms for tents which included a covered platform for the picnic table. Some of the best reviews of the lake.
Already talking about a return here. - Happy Camper X2
Jun 2015 - $36.00
This is a nice "old fashion" type of campground. Lots of choices in cabins and sites, some with bathrooms on the site. Staff and manager are great, always willing to talk. Campground offers plenty to do if you wish or you can just enjoy sitting back and relaxing. The campground is split by a road but the road noise is not bad. This was our 2nd year in a row going the first weekend in June. Not too much in the area unless you drive 30 minutes or so. Store was well stocked with anything you would need. Will return at some point. - Happy Camper X2
Apr 2015 - $36.00
This campground has the most activities I have ever seen anywhere! Tall pines make the stay feel like being deep in a forest. Great hosts and clean facilities! Highly recommended. - Ray Campalot
Jun 2014 - $35.00
Went in thinking this would be a 6 or 7 rated campground and when hooking up I realized that it was not a 30 amp but only a 15 amp service. I was not sure it would be a good weekend. Luckily we did not need AC so the power was fine. The campground was clean and quiet which was nice. There is some noise from the road but that was not a problem. Lots of activities available but we just walked around. Turned out better than we thought and our site was real nice. - Happy Camper X2

Naples KOA is a small park with very personal service. Our site was spotless, the overall campground very well maintained and community areas constantly spruced up. The pool was heated and used extensively. Many of the campsites are seasonal but there were plenty open for travelers. Electric, water and Sewer available at each site. WiFi was awesome, cable TV was HD and Verizon service adequate. Highly recommended. - fruffiii
Jul 2016 - $56.00
Well managed, impeccably clean, quiet and very comfortable campground. Sites are level, graveled, well drained, spacious and shaded. At least three separate bathhouses; all were well maintained and seemed to have been cleaned several times a day on the crowded 4th of July weekend. Heated swimming pool, lots of family activities and thoughtful touches for your comfort (one example, the walking trail thru the center-of-the-campground-forest is graveled and has red-ribbon markers at the eye-level of adults - and a 9 year olds - so everyone can confidently "find your way home". ) Wifi was EXCELLENT (which was good for us because our Verizon Hotspot was Maine-woods-bandwidth-challenged and timed out constantly.) Dozens of cable channels. Office personnel are well organized and will spoil you. They have a snack bar that has (among other things, including bacon-and-egg breakfasts) homemade chocolate-and-peanut butter, Whoopie/Moon pies that are bliss/bliss. Many of the seasonal sites are lovely with flowers. We spent 2 weeks there and just adored this KOA. - Mom_of_Two
Sep 2015 - $30.00
Caring owners, home-cooked food, a variety of activities, great free WiFi, good cell phone reception, one of the best KOA's we've stayed in. Many restaurants in the area, and Portland is only 30 miles away. Walmart is about 17 miles away. We stayed a week, combining a Passport America discount, regular rate and a KOA special weekend discount. Lots of cable channels, but many sites are satellite friendly as well. Many seasonal campers but all in good shape. Overall, a great place in the Lakes Region of Maine. We'd definitely stay here agin. - smdrm
Aug 2015 - $46.00
We stayed here on short notice, and we were able to get a small site not far from the main office. Nice little site which fit our 15' camper quite well. There was a lot foot traffic past the site, but it wasn't really a problem. I'd say the only drawback to the campground was the golf cart traffic. They were pretty noisy, and there were a lot of them buzzing around all day.
All in all, Woodland Acres is a nice family campground with lots for the kids to do.
Great facilities and the best camp store I've seen. - 2beagles
May 2015 - $30.00
This was our first trip to Acres of Wildlife. The above stated rate is the published rate. We stayed for $0 because we participated in the "free cleanup weekend". Basically, they offer you a free weekend in return for some raking and cleanup activities throughout the campground. It turned out to be about 3-4 hours worth of work, the rest was camping/fun time.
The park was nice, and is definitely family oriented. Lots of games/activities for kids (and adults). Sites are decent, but probably look better once more foliage fills in the trees. This place has the very best camp store I have ever seen, a must see! The road is very dry and dusty, and with the constant truck/golf cart traffic it got things pretty dirty. All in all we had a good time. We are definitely planning a return trip later this Summer. - BigNuge
Sep 2014 - $40.00
Another great stay at Acres of Wildlife! This campground keeps making some wonderful improvements. Year after year they add sites, clear trees, and are constantly making the sites better and better. This year they also added some tree houses for campers to rent. So if you do not have a camper you can still find a way to have a great time at Acres. We have been coming here for many years and it always great to go back. This weekend was no different. They did a great job with their Halloween weekend by having a Haunted House and such great campers to make the campground something spectacular. There is no doubt that we will return again. - clw_man
Jun 2016 - $60.00
This a great campground! The campground has spacious and private sites. The staff member that checked us in really did not know specifics about the campground, directions to our site, event tickets to the Blues Festival etc.... The site had 50 or 20 amps. I had to go to the office to get a 50 to 30 amp converter ($20 deposit). The first converter was faulty and needed to get a replacement. The hookups are at the very back of the site and the sewer pipe was about 2 feet off the ground and made for a tricky discharge. The amenities at the campground are excellent and the lake/ beach was enormous! We will be returning to this campground in the future! - clw_man
Aug 2015 - $75.00
We camped here with a group of 4 other families. Our request to be located together was met by the campground in one of the loops close to the action. Our 42' motorhome and one of our friends with a 40' 5th. wheel fit nicely on large sites that were pretty level. Sites were mostly gravel/grass with a fire-pit. Hook-ups conveniently located and the 50 Amp service never fluctuated. We had a little problem with overhead branches that was addressed with a bucket truck operator working with us to clear the low branches above. The lake is the big draw here in our opinion. It is a GEM! The campground itself is very woodsy and rustic. There aren't any cement pads to park on or eat on, which we prefer. Bath houses and rest rooms were a bit distant for those with pop up campers. Rent a golf cart early (they go fast) because you will appreciate it and need it if you navigate throughout the grounds. They had a nice Tiki Bar overlooking the lake, with great nachos and cheese and a decent menu. Also enjoyed a talented guitar player/singer who was very entertaining. The kids in our group had plenty to do with the supervision of campground staff. The camp store was stocked with many of the typical camper needs. The marina had many water toys to rent. We opted for speed boat and a pontoon boat with 2 large tubes to pull the kids on. Great fun. We would stay here again. There are a couple of mobile RV repairmen that will come to your site for needed repairs. We had minor issue with our water heater and it was repaired at a very reasonable price. - Dieselpower
Jul 2013 - $48.00
We love this place because of the cleanliness and the great people who accommodated us when we were unhappy with our campsite. I think the bathroom/bathhouses could have fans in them as well as some time of bug killer device. We will definitely go here again. - Linda02148
