Staff was very friendly and helpful for the few things we did need including late checkout. Being a labor day weekend we reserved just several days ahead and managed to get a deluxe patio site. Pricey but in the Old Orchard Beach area and on a holiday weekend, it worked for us. Sites are good spacing in new section at the back of the campground. Not much in the way of shade but also allows for easy pull through access. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here overnight in a pull-through with full service. Very convenient to shopping and Old Orchard Beach. They have a cafe which serves breakfast off season and lunch added during the season. Everything worked great; nice level spot. The roads have a lot of trees so can be tight. Staff is friendly and helpful. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in the new deluxe patio section, well laid out, excellent furniture and fire pit, utilities well located. Full sun in this area, still have construction going on but not intrusive. Staff friendly and helpful, very clean bathrooms and park, doggy stations throughout the park. Located right off the interstate, less than 5 miles to Old Orchard beach, I biked in 15 minutes. I liked everything about this park but felt it was over priced at least in the deluxe section. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The lobster shack at Port Elizabeth is a must and make time for a day trip to downtown Portland, for boat trips, dining and shopping. In Old Orchard beach used Mom&Pop parking for half the price of the big lots.

Stayed here over Mother's Day weekend. The campground is undergoing renovations and are adding sites in the back of the property. They called us to make certain we knew about it and that we were still OK to come. It did not impact our stay. We had a large site to accommodate our group. It worked out well. All gravel, no grass, fairly level. Large. Laundry was fine. Bathrooms were clean. Part of out group stayed in a camping cabin. Also very nice. The front of the campground has older smaller sites with many trees and closer together. We would stay here again. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Everything was super clean and in good working order. Pool was perfect, bathroom and shower house were immaculate. Employees were friendly. Campsite was clean and ours was large (some didn't appear as large). There were a lot of trees. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Tent Trailer.

We just left after spending the entire summer here for the third year in a row. They have made substantial improvements since last year and are planning on more over the winter. One of these improvements will be removing some more trees and possibly more sites that are truly big-rig friendly. We're already making plans to return next year for the season. There may be something better and cheaper, but we aren't willing to risk giving up on something that works perfectly for us. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Great campground for the Old Orchard Beach / Portland Area, oh did I mention super clean ! We stayed here for three nights in mid September and would return in a second if visiting the area again. Amazingly clean, well manicured and a super friendly staff. We stayed in site # 47, this is a pull through gravel site with more then enough room for our 33' motorhome and toad. Electric was good along with water, sewer and cable. Great off leash dog park. I did hear a little traffic noise but nothing that would keep you up at night with the windows open. Very short drive to beaches and Portland. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

The service was very good and the sites appear to have undergone a major overhaul. We stayed in a delux site and had a swing, table/chairs and patio. All the sites now have pea gravel which is very nice and helps keep the trailer clean. There are activities for the kids and you can take the trolley to the beach. Good WIFI The only complaint was that the hot tub is for adults only and my children got in trouble for sticking their feet in, which brought my daughter to tears and wasn't necessary. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice pull through site. Had to disconnect truck as site shorter in length. Better suited for families as they had a lot of activities for kids at the pool and elsewhere. Sites close together. Needed place for one night. Staff very nice. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a lovely park, with lots of recent upgrades. It is not necessarily big rig friendly; short turning radius and trees make maneuvering difficult. The restrooms and office are clean; the sites are fairly clean. Young men clean sites only of large items, leaving cigarette butts, small pieces of debris scattered about. The office staff is friendly and helpful but the managers are rude to the guests and workers. To watch someone being criticized in front of paying guests is embarrassing for the camper as well as the worker. The only amenity is the pool so I think the cost is a bit high. I believe we have a new favorite campground! This KOA has new ownership and they've made big improvements! Interior roads are paved and everything has eye-appeal. It is a wooded property, but don't worry --- the cable is great and has lots of channels. The Wi-Fi works great, too. The pancake breakfast at the Merry Moose was the most generous we've ever seen --- each pancake fills the entire plate! The pool and hot tub are very nice, though the pool is small (but there's a big waterpark a short distance away.) The playground has new mulch and new play equipment. There's also a mining activity. This park works well for families with kids, yet it is suitably quiet and attractive for empty-nesters. Our pull-through site faced a woods -- just beautiful! We'll be back when we visit Maine again! We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

We just got here today for the season. This place has been a favorite of our for a number of years. Last year when we left they were talking about improvements that they would be making over the winter. Well, they weren't kidding. The most obvious as we drove to our site was the fact that the main roads are now paved, not dirt and gravel as in the past. When the rains come we'll see how much of an improvement this is. Also, a LOT of the sites have been upgraded to 50 amp service and almost all of them are now full hook up. The pool area is extremely attractive now, with a hot tub as well. We'll have to walk around tomorrow to see what else in new, but what we've already seen impresses us greatly. They have taken something that we thought was pretty good and improved upon that. We're anxious to see what other improvements are made now that the winter is over and they have the weather to do the work that they want to do. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

We bit the bullet and stayed for the entire summer. We were hoping that the new owners would do what they promised. By the time we left they had started a new, bigger pool, were updating all of the physical facilities, and were talking numerous additional lodges as well as larger sites for big rigs in previously unused property. We're already signed up for next summer, and look forward to seeing the improvements that are already in progress, and those that are promised. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

As all KOAs we've stayed at this one had a super friendly staff and incredibly clean campground. The sites seemed a bit too close together and the pool was VERY small. For the area it was reasonably priced. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here before and were looking forward to our return this year. We were surprised to learn that the previous owners had suddenly sold the campground, but were relieved to find that the managers from last year were being kept as managers by the new owners. That gave us a good feeling of continuity, which, when we checked in at the campground was confirmed. The new owners are promising improvements to the campground which will take it to the next level, in our opinion. The minor issues that most complain of are some of those that are promised. We'll see. But for now, we're just as happy as we have been in the past with the campground, and will willingly come back to see what improvements have been made. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Motorhome.
