Styled for 3 nights while visiting the area. As previously mentioned, they have very few overnight sites. FHUs worked as they should and were conveniently located. Cable channel selection was good. Wifi worked ok for the most part. Got a little slow every now and then. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I wouldn't consider it a destination campground, but definitely good if your in the area to see the sites. Restroom/bathhouse was nothing fancy, but clean. Water pressure in the showers could be better. $0.25 per 3 minutes for a shower. I would stay here again. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Rate of $30.00 per night is with Passport America discount for full hook-ups, regular posted rate is $55.00 per night. Campground is a mixed community, cottages/cabins, seasonal and transients. The facility has a very appealing appearance and is located a short drive to Portland. Entrance to the park is a paved driveway that gives way to interior dirt roads once past the security gates. Our site, number 11, was back in and could be difficult depending on parked cars. All utilities are midway on left side of coach, easy to access and worked as intended. Pad is a mix of gravel and grass with patio area being grass. Our site was on a slight incline, just wide enough for slide-outs and awning, very deep and under a very large shade tree. Site included very nice picnic table and fire ring at rear of site. Bathrooms were clean, however there is a charge for using the shower. The facility has a large open green space and small playground for the children, 2 pools and hot tub. There is an extra charge for additional campers over 2 adults & 2 children and all guests. Verizon, Sprint and T Mobile all worked well. The owner was very friendly. At the Passport America rate this is a very good value for the area. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Mostly a residential park with only a few sites left for short term use. The advertised WiFi is only around the office area. Our site was in the back of the park and very tight. We will not stay here again. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

We paid the Passport America rate of $30 plus 9% Maine tax. Our first impression pulling in here was so, so. But once we backed into our site we were pleasantly pleased with it. While the site was somewhat narrow, we had a large open grass area behind us and then the pool. A very nice level site. The hookups all worked, but the post holding the water sillcock extended way above it. This prevented using a splinter first. Wifi as mentioned was somewhat on the slow side. Overall we had a nice 5 day stay and would return. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Best bet for a Lobster Roll is at Pines Seafood on US-1 a couple of miles north. The Run of the Mill Brewery also has good food and some nice beers to choose from. We were extremely disappointed with the Lobster Roll we were served at the Rising Tide restaurant.

Access to this campground from 195 is very easy. Shopping and entertainments are close by. The people who work here are friendly and helpful. Sites are a little too close for me, especially when the neighbors want to have their campfire burning all day and night. Our site was very level and we had a tree for shade. The entire campground is kept very neat. We stayed here for 11 days, having some family members visit for a few days. Their only complaint was that the pay showers had poor water pressure. In general I think most campers are here for the nearby beaches and towns. A very nice surprise for us was the use of the Eastern Trail that runs for many miles north and south, that is accessible from the campground. We did a lot of walking while we were here. I would recommend this campground. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Rate is for out of season. Lovely place with mostly seasonal occupants. Only negative is poor wifi, but Verizon hotspot worked okay. Great walking trail next to park. Also an RV dealer within easy walking distance if you need parts or RV supplies. Very nice office staff. Convenient to Old Orchard Beach and Portland. Our site was level and easy to get in and out. Would definitely stay again if in area. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Their website says their rates are $44.00-50.00, we paid Passport America 1/2 price rate of $30.00. This must be new math. Mostly seasonal park models or older trailers that have been there a good long time. Our site was wide and long enough to accommodate coach and car. Park was quiet but we were here after Labor Day so not a lot of seasonal people in park. Shower was clean and adequate but water pressure and temperature of water were terrible. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Nice large RV campground on state Hwy 1 with easy access and no traffic noise. Paved main and gravel site roads. Park is mostly wooded with only a few open sites. Almost all of the sites are park models and seasonals, with only a few available for travelers. Pull-through and back-in sites are wide, long and level with table, fire rings. All sites have 30 & 50 amp and sewer. Weak and slow Wi-Fi signal at sites. No satellite signal, good Verizon cell, 4G signals, and good cable. The pools, playground, rec center, store and scheduled activities are all by the park models section at the opposite end of park from travelers' sites. At the back of the park there is direct access to a Rail to Trail path that extends several miles to the beach. Park well maintained and staff friendly and helpful. Very nice and would stay there again. Cost is with a Good Sam during peak season. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

This large park is occupied mostly by permanent or seasonal visitors, but provided a very adequate overnight stop. The gravel interior roads lead to generously sized gravel/grass sites. Basic utilities are good, cable is very good, Wi-Fi was poor at our site. AT&T phone and data service is available in the area. The price reflects the Passport America discount. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

We can hardly believe that we stayed in the same place as most of the other reviewers. This is one of the worst excuses for a campground that we have ever been in. Most of the sites have Park Models in very poor condition. The grounds are poorly maintained and the roads are disgraceful. The Wi-Fi was not consistent and the signal was generally weak. Our pull-through site was far from level. The Passport America rate was only $24.00, but they would have to pay me a lot more than that to stay here again. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

We found this park off I-95 exit 36 onto I-195 and then exit 2B onto highway 1 to the park. We had our choice of transient sites. Gravel roads and gravel back-in sites are in this park. Our 36' motor home and toad fit in our back-in site with no problems after disconnecting. It's true there are a lot of permanent park models, but these are very well maintained and a lot of them were not occupied due to the late time of the year. There were some pot holes in the road, but nothing that couldn't be managed. Good strong signals on Wi-Fi with fair speed, but I connected to the Silver Springs router. I couldn't get on the internet through the Silver Springs router 3 and the Silver Springs router 5. Google maps display would "paint" the computer screen a section at a time. Water pressure was 40 PSI and our SurgeGuard had no faults indicated. Our sewer drain was not threaded although some were. Cable TV was excellent. Lobster and clams are abundant in many nearby stores. $4 for one pound and they will steam a live soft shell lobster for you while you wait. Portland, ME and L.L.Bean at Freeport, ME are easy short drives from here. Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We would stay here again. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Campground has a lot of different kind of sites: RVs, park models, and trailers. Some of the roads are narrow, but we managed with no problem. Our friends didn't fare so well and scraped a bay door on a large rock near an intersection. The staff are friendly and helpful, and we would stay here again. We enjoyed adjoining large sites (one pull through) and an evening campfire. We'd stay here again. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Passport America. They honored the PA rate for multiple nights, which was nice. First, I don't believe they have 140 "transient" sites; most of the sites were full time park models. All of them seem nice, well kept and the folks we met were welcoming and helpful. The transient sites were mixed in among the permanent ones and you had choice of shade or sun. W/S/E and cable on all sites. Camp store adequate and owners very helpful. There is a big RV dealership next door if you have rig issues. Not much road noise heard and wildlife present in form of birds, chipmunks. We found lobster for $5/lb close by--cook at the campsite. Other places a bit more but will steam for you. Clams and other fresh seafood also reasonable. One issue to note, and it is on their website: showers are pay--25 cents for 3 minutes. (Haven't seen that in over 35 years!) Water was plentiful and hot and I think I got 4-5 minutes on first quarter. No big deal, but read the directions carefully or load several quarters ahead of time if you are concerned. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Passport America price of stay one/get one free. We stayed here only a two nights on our way south from Acadia. Very well kept facility, very friendly and helpful staff. Mostly seasonals here but nicely kept. We had a nice pull through site on a corner that was in good repair and had nice picnic table and fire ring. Would stay again and spend some more time exploring the area. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Not a large park but clean and well cared for. Friendly staff, not much of a store but next to a RV dealer and close to shopping. Staff was always around cleaning restrooms and empty sites. Mostly seasonal sites but all were friendly, we had site 53 a pull thru which was a good site, but they had tents on both sides of us and those were full hook up sites, thats why an 8 rating. Shuttle to beach every hour, clean pools and easy in and out, gated entry. We camped at Silver Springs Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.
