Third trip to this campground, this time a week before Labor Day. An older campground with weird campsite layouts. Campsites are jammed close together. Most (60 to 70 percent) of the campsites are seasonal. Campground is near the airport, if your windows are closed the planes flying overhead are not too bad. Full hook-up, with 20/30/50 amp service. Utilities are at the back of the campsite, which required additional water and sewer hose. Cable TV with 68 channels, that required additional cable to reach the box. WiFi is weak and not secure. Verizon cell service is 2 bar/4G. There's a pond on site with a beach and swimming area. Basketball and volleyball court. A general store is on site. Dog rabies documentation required. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The campground also has a public entrance for a fee to a beach at the lake. Though this was a pond in our eyes, nice enough but not a lake. We had a site right on the pond, kids could easily drag the kyacks down a sandy hill and take a leisurely paddle. There were some activities at the campground but we were out mostly, and they stopped early. Very quiet at night, people friendly, luckily there is every type of shopping nearby as their store was sad. Our site was easy to get in and level, but the sewer pipe was 2 ft in the air, it was odd. Hubby rigged some plastic gutters to sit the sewers pipe into so we could properly dump. Would definitely return but ask for different site. Close to OOB and Portland. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Travel Trailer.

We enjoyed our stay here. Campsite was nice but did not get pull thru like we requested. Easy to find. Close to attractions like the Portland Head Light. Used laundry and it was clean. Airplanes flying overhead but really did not bother us. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice shady spot across the street from the lake. Except for the Saturday night noise, it was pleasantly quiet. Site was level, WiFi was strong. God advice from office staff. Weekend activities - our weekend it was a dog show. It's a short distance to all Portland's activities. I'd stay again. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Recently stayed at this park, even though the reviews were not good, as it was the only park that had a site available for us. This park has the possibility of being very nice. However, found that the sites were small, most of the rvs in the park were old, and looked like they should go to the junk yard. Also, one of my neighbors hung a clothes line a hung out their wash to dry. The site was dirty and sandy, which was just about impossible to not track into the coach. Also, there is an airfield nearby, and we were under the path of inbound air traffic of not only commercial jets but large military aircraft. Will never stay here again, even if I have to go to a Walmart. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Motorhome.

This camp is close to Portland, about 8 miles away, and if you get a lake front site, which we had, there is a nice view, that's the good part.

The sites however are bad for leveling, ours was the worst I've ever seen. Took a couple of 2x6's on one side to get us straight. All the sites look bad,o just dusty dirt, NO grass, and to many trees, so many trees the sun could never get thru and maneuvering on the narrow dusty roads was tough.

What they call a clubhouse is a small dirty shack, and unless you're at the shack, the wifi at our site was terrible. Being on the flight path for Portland airport is not

pleasant either, loud planes overhead every morning and evening. At least half of the camp is rundown seasonal trailers and lots of kids.

They did seem to enjoy swimming in the lake, probably because it is only knee deep everywhere,at least the beach area was clean.

We were there because of the location to Portland. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park West of Portland with a small lake. On the glidepath of the Portland Airport with planes going overhead about every 20 minutes. Not too loud but noticeable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Fifth Wheel.

Large park close to many shopping opportunities and activities. Site I-4 was spacious and well maintained. Saturday had many organized activities including a live band. The website says they have a pickleball court but it is a sad little court with the side and back lines being the end of the surfacing. No organized games. There are however, organized games in the area. There is a small lake with swimming right in the park. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Motorhome.

The next day, with a short drive, you can eat lunch at Red's Eats in Wiscasset, ME. Red's Eats is in the book, 1000 Things You Have to do Before You Die. They have absolutely the best & freshest lobster rolls in ME. They put the meat of 2 lobsters on each sandwich. Well worth the price.

Good Sam discount. Well water has a strong smell. Very low water pressure in restroom, and dirty showers. Camped here so that we could arrive at noon the next day for lunch at Red's Eats in Wiscassett, ME to have their truly world-famous lobster rolls (one of 1000 things to do before you die). We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Motorhome.

This is a very large camping site. On one side of a lake there is the more typical layout under large trees, store, and activities for families. However, the first site we were assigned our rig was very close to the neighbor's fire ring. They gave us our choice of sites and we moved to the other side on the lake on an open grassy area with a lake view. Very nice, friendly place. Wi-Fi was fast and free. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Motorhome.
