Convenient to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and the rest of Mt Desert Island. Level, spacious gravel sites. Open to the sky so satellite TV available. Wonderful sites on the water are available.. Very helpful staff. Lobster shack right down the road and shopping 15 minutes away. We would stay here again. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Great water view if you are close enough. We were able to see it when sitting outside. Horrible WiFi! Did not work at any time of the day. Connect and then disconnected over and over. Would have definitely rated higher if this worked. Poor At&t reception in this area. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Town of Ellsworth is close by where grocery, Home Depot, and Walmart are located. Spent a day exploring the Schoodic Peninsula. Well worth the time! Beautiful scenery. Don't miss Seal Cove Auto Museum in Seal Cove.

This rate is based on a one month stay locked in a year ahead of visit. Our site is right on the water looking at Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park. Beautiful! There is a campground store, building for meetings and activities, nice. The campground offers little for kids other than a nice heated pool. No tents are allowed. Rustic cabins and park models avail. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This is near the fairly large city of Ellsworth and a good launching point for trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor. There are plenty of lobster pounds nearby though we cooked our own lobs. Many coastal sights to explore. I recommend Penobscot Bay Bridge Observation Tower and Fort Knox in Bucksport and Bass Harbor Lighthouse.

First off...this is not a resort. It's an RV Park. Nothing wrong with that. There is a nice pool though. That being said, with Acadia National Park a short distance away, Bar Harbor and a million other things to do in the area who really needs a resort? The sites here, with only a couple of exceptions that I saw are long, wide, and open. There was no problem fitting our 36' fifth wheel and tow vehicle in our site. We also had plenty of room to fit our 5 sided Gazelle Gazeebo. All the sites are full hookups with both 30 and 50 Amp service. Water pressure was fine. There's a good mix of back-in and pull-through sites. There is also a large fenced in area for dogs to play and poop. People are very good about cleaning up after their pets. I did no see any "land mines" at all. The park is clean, well maintained, and the staff is friendly, helpful and generally pleasant to deal with. All in all we found this to be a great place to use as home base for our adventures in Acadia NP and surrounding area. We are already planning to visit again in the fall when the scenery should be even more amazing with the added fall foliage. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Dusty! Terribly dusty! Roads gravel, dust was everywhere. The staff greeted us warmly and were very nice and helpful. However, they only have basic training so if you need/ask anything out of the ordinary they won't know the answer but will happily make phone calls or do whatever is necessary to assist. We had a "pull-in" premium site. Unfortunately there are no views of the water if there's somebody next to you. Only oceanfront sites have a water view. Some oceanfront sites are nice with a bit of shade but others have no shade and are so tight you can't open your awning and stepping out your front door will run you into an electric pole or sewer line. Very small pool with no shaded area. Bare, empty fenced area dog area. Absolutely nothing for kids. The game room has a few board games, no other entertainment. This is strictly a very expensive place for big rigs to park while seeing the sites. Don't pay extra for any type of upgraded site - just not worth it. Oh, and there is a $4/day "resort" fee. In your wildest imagination this couldn't be classified as any type of resort. Did I mention DUSTY?? Keep your windows closed! Will be looking elsewhere next time. Free shuttle bus service to Bar Harbor began for the season on June 23. We used the buses to get around on four different days. Although the service was uneven with some breakdowns throwing routes off schedule, the service was adequate to get us where we wanted to go in a reasonable time. The RV park provides many open sites (great for satellite reception) with decent Wi-Fi. We had a large site with 50-amp full-hookup service and plenty of room for our 40-foot motorhome and tow vehicle. The price was high but commensurate with other campgrounds near Acadia National Park. There is a large area for dogs to run free that is fenced on one end and confined by bushes around the rest of the perimeter. We spent a week at Narrows Too and found it to be a good place from which to explore the national park. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

This campground is billed as a resort. It's far from any resort I've visited in the past. Just hundreds of land-yachts on gravel sites. Hook-ups were good with sewer on-site. Nothing to do for children or anyone who wasn't into jogging or bicycling. No amenities. We were recommend by another couple, but were very disappointed. Stayed three nights in a Class A. We got a pull through and it was fairly level. Good view of the water. We stayed mid June and the campground was not close to being full. Gravel sites. We did not use the laundry or bathhouse facilities. Campground personnel were courteous and helpful. We would stay here again. We stayed here as a starting point to a RV Tour down the East Coast. We had a select pull thru spot. It was level gravel with plenty of room for our slides and our tow car. The airport noise was a bit much but not bad enough to not stay here. We walked to a lobster pound down the street and had great lobster. If you have a clear day, make the drive into Acadia and go to the top of Cadillac Mountain. Also go to Jordan's Pond and have the AMAZING POPOVERS!! Worth every cent. We paid extra for a waterfront site - I wouldn't do that again at this park, I would grab a traditional site elsewhere. The water and beachfront is accessible to all, and sites along the water are tight and at a premium. Not much for kids to do there except ride their bikes - pool was closed for the season (expected so not a big deal) but no playground or field, etc... close to everything so that part was nice. We were fortunate to get the site we did (double site) but others along the water were much narrower... approximately 16' is what I paced off for width on others in the 300's. Well maintained park and roads. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

We don't need or use any of the amenities as we are just two old people in a very large, self contained tin can. This park is big rig friendly. Very safe entrance and exit as there is a traffic light and a very wide, level access road. We were very pleased with the park and staff. Gravel sites but raked level between every stay. Stay here and take the bus into the park. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 6 nights. The rate posted is the full rate. It is a PA campground and we got the discount 50% discount for 4 nights. This is a nice campground conveniently located to Acadia National Park. Staff was very helpful and attentive. We had a FHU site and everything worked as expected. Good cable channel selection. Free wifi was adequate for basic surfing. Did get a little slow in the evening hours. Bathhouse and restrooms were clean. The roads In the CG are gravel and can be a little dusty. Will definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Had ocean view level site. It is a view of a bay of the ocean. Enjoyed the site but some may want to save the money for other parts of their trip. Wife at low tide went out and got some mussels. Had them for supper. Good wifi but had to log in at different times. Had to drive to laundry in campground. $2.50 wash and $2 for dryer. Several lobster pounds close to the campground. Shuttle to park and Bar Harbor comes right into campground. Grocery store not far from campground and reasonable. Bought live lobster there for $5.99 soft shell and cooked at campground. Had issues with a camper next to us that would leave there dog in their camper then go exploring the park and town. Second day it appeared it was going to be daily so contacted office and they called owners of dog and never had issues after. A lot of gravel in campground so a lot of traffic does kick up dust. Even golf cart raised dust. Overall our 7 day stay was pleasant. Clean hot showers. Would stay again but may save and park inside the campground. We were here in 2011 and knew that this was a good campground, close to everything you need. We used Coast to Coast on our last trip and our site was out of the way without a view. I asked how to get a better site, I was told to pay full price. This trip we paid $77 a night. We have camped from Alaska to Florida and this was the worst site ever, a pull-in site with a view of over grown brush, could not see water or mountains, just the trailer next door. Walked around campground found 70 open sites with a better view that were not used while we were there, Sunday to Wednesday. My wife asked at the office why we got such a bad site, no real answer but was told she could talk to the manager, she called and left a message. Manager returned call on Wednesday when we were on our way to our next stop. Not a happy camper, here. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

We are waterfront with a nice vegetation break between us and the next site. The roads are dusty but that seems to be the norm these days. The site is a back-in, but we turned it around and pulled forward to capture the view. There is a large grassy field that they are working on fencing in for dogs. Our dog just wants to chase the ball so the lack of fence wasn't really an issue. There is traffic noise from Hwy 3 and the nearby airport and you don't really get used to it. The park is convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor. It's expensive and I doubt we would return but for our time here it fit our needs.
