Had ocean view level site. It is a view of a bay of the ocean. Enjoyed the site but some may want to save the money for other parts of their trip. Wife at low tide went out and got some mussels. Had them for supper. Good wifi but had to log in at different times. Had to drive to laundry in campground. $2.50 wash and $2 for dryer. Several lobster pounds close to the campground. Shuttle to park and Bar Harbor comes right into campground. Grocery store not far from campground and reasonable. Bought live lobster there for $5.99 soft shell and cooked at campground. Had issues with a camper next to us that would leave there dog in their camper then go exploring the park and town. Second day it appeared it was going to be daily so contacted office and they called owners of dog and never had issues after. A lot of gravel in campground so a lot of traffic does kick up dust. Even golf cart raised dust. Overall our 7 day stay was pleasant. Clean hot showers. Would stay again but may save and park inside the campground. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

We are waterfront with a nice vegetation break between us and the next site. The roads are dusty but that seems to be the norm these days. The site is a back-in, but we turned it around and pulled forward to capture the view. There is a large grassy field that they are working on fencing in for dogs. Our dog just wants to chase the ball so the lack of fence wasn't really an issue. There is traffic noise from Hwy 3 and the nearby airport and you don't really get used to it. The park is convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor. It's expensive and I doubt we would return but for our time here it fit our needs. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

We were here in 2011 and knew that this was a good campground, close to everything you need. We used Coast to Coast on our last trip and our site was out of the way without a view. I asked how to get a better site, I was told to pay full price. This trip we paid $77 a night. We have camped from Alaska to Florida and this was the worst site ever, a pull-in site with a view of over grown brush, could not see water or mountains, just the trailer next door. Walked around campground found 70 open sites with a better view that were not used while we were there, Sunday to Wednesday. My wife asked at the office why we got such a bad site, no real answer but was told she could talk to the manager, she called and left a message. Manager returned call on Wednesday when we were on our way to our next stop. Not a happy camper, here. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Price is for the water front site we stayed on. The site 310 was very big and able to easily accommodate our 45 ft MH and tow. Interior roads are gravel. Each sites are level gravel and have a new picnic table, cable, fire ring and FHU's. There is grass between most pull through sites and trees between water back-in sites. The sites are mostly open allowing satellite access. A big improvement since my last visit 3 years ago is they now have wifi access at your site instead of just at the office area. The wifi is Ok but times out if not used requiring reconnection. The park is reasonable close to Bar Harbor, Acadia NP entrance and Ellsworth. We stayed here in a 5th wheel. We had a pull through space as were most of them. We weren't even close to the water which disappointed me. Those spaces must be reserved for the return customers. The space was level, the park was quiet and the laundry was clean. $2.50 to wash, $2.00 to dry, but the dryers were for 45 minutes, which was great! We extended our stay and received and received a 15% discount. The park is not too far from Bar Harbor. They are working on the road to Bar Harbor so take the alternate route to avoid the construction. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We spent three days in Acadia National Park, which was beautiful. One day we took Olie's Trollies through the park, which we purchased tickets for in Bar Harbor, and the fog was so bad we couldn't see much. The next two days we went in our private vehicle and still couldn't see because of the fog. So this is my tip...if you have a sunny, fog-free day you should go to the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park.

Rate reflects PA for two or the four night stay. Very nice park right off the main highway into Bar Harbor and Acadia, National Park. Very helpful staff and very responsive to fix a leaking water valve. The sites were level and spacious with plenty of room for our tow vehicle. Access roads are wide and easy to navigate. There are several Lobster Pounds right outside the entrance to the campground that can satisfy your seafood craving. Great place to stay to take in the activities in Bar Harbor or Acadia, NP. Tips for other Campers:

Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are close by. Lots of scenic drives, hikes and views. Atlantic Beer Company is close and well worth the stop for some craft brews. Campground is also close to Ellsworth where there is a Home Depot, grocery store and Lobster Pounds right outside the campground. You can order a lobster dinner to go and take it back to the campground and chow down.

We checked in after closing but everything was waiting for us at the office. Stayed in a Premium II site which appears to be the fourth most expensive site. Sites were very wide and level, with grass and new fire rings with grills. These sites are head-in sites. It seems that the vast majority of sites are satellite friendly. Visited the office the next morning and was greeted by a very pleasant and accommodating staff. Only minor complaint is it looks like most hook ups are up hill (the sewer pipe was about 10 inches above ground so lots of hose lifting) which is why I gave the site only four stars. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Camp is well situated for Acadia National Park and surroundings. The Carriage trails are a must for cyclists and hikers alike. Bar Harbor is about 20 - 25 minutes but be sure to take alternative route 3 while construction is underway this summer on Route 3. Ellsworth is about a 15 minute drive with Walmart, Home Depot and a variety of grocery stores. Also as an alternative to Acadia the campground is about 45 minutes from the Schoodic Peninsula. Great hiking, bicycle trails and ocean views.

Ok folks, Maine in the fall. Why are you here? The free trollies stops out in front of the park so you don't have to have a driving vehicle.

This is an Encore RV Resorts community and is located near the bridge leading to Mount Desert Island (MDI). The park is quite large with a variety of site types. Please note that some have hookups on left and some on the right. If it matters to you and you cannot cross your connections be sure you know what you are asking for.

Other reviewers have talked about the gravel road and dust. Yes, true, get over it. It is much better than dirt roads and potholes.

The waterfront sites are mixed with hookups; see above. The 300 series sites are fantastic with some sort of tree/wind break for a bit of privacy between sites. All will accommodate a 40-45 foot fifth wheel or class A but those class As have to work hard to get in if the site across the street is occupied.

NOTE: The 400 series sites on the water are tight. They tell you that so it should not be a surprise. Yes, you can get in and open slides but you are not going to put out awnings if they are mounted on or extend beyond your slides.

Waterfront premium cost premium $$$. Worth it to us but maybe not to you. Lots of other site options that don't cost so much.

Well maintained, great staff, I'd come here again for sure.

We enjoyed every hike we went on. If you are mature like us, pick up the guide for "Easy Day Hikes" and you will find plenty to enjoy. We have been here two weeks with one more to go. Love it. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoy seafood and nature and there was plenty of that here for us.

We did the bioluminescent kayak paddle in Castine. That was fun.

Pick a lobster pound it really doesn't matter. They all serve lobster. The lobster is boiled. It isn't a complicated recipe and they all charged $8.99-$9.99 a pound UNLESS you are in Bar Harbor. Everything is more expensive in Bar Harbor.

Wonderful staff! Very accommodating. Very close to national park, BarHarbor, and Lobster. We enjoyed having the bus available to get to and from Acadie park. Staff very helpful in getting us settled in. This park is partially open sites, some on the water and like our site was nestled in the woods. Very beautiful. The nightly rate reflects a weekly discount for staying at this RV park for five weeks. This is a nice RV park right across the bridge from Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park. Our site was a level, gravel pull-thru site with good hook-ups and a fire ring. There aren't many trees in the main area of the RV park, but that does make it easy for satellite reception. There was a good sized heated pool but it did not always seem very clean. The WiFi was decent and usually functioning. The RV park is on the Acadia NP shuttle route which made it easy and inexpensive to access Bar Harbor and the National Park. The access roads, within the RV park, are gravel which makes for some pretty dusty conditions. Paving of those roads would greatly improve the experience of staying there. There is limited recycling available within the RV park (Maine redemption recyclables only) and it is difficult to find full recycling services in the Bar Harbor/Ellsworth area. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent three nights here to begin a 32 day caravan through the Canadian Atlantic Maritimes. Nice park with different sections, our 22 coaches were all grouped in the middle.

Pros: Great Staff, Clean, Views, almost like being in Acadia NP its so close, nicely heated pool, bus picks up there. Some activities.

Cons: Gravel/Dirt roads, gravel sites with some beachy weeds, dusty, cars do not follow 5M signs and make too much dust. Wifi did not work the whole two weeks we were there.

It is a great location for see Acadia NP and I would stay again. It is expensive for what you get. I just wish they would pave the roads through the park. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

This is a fairly well maintained campground, staff were helpful at check in. The interior road is gravel with some pot holes, big rig access was fair. Our premium water front site was spacious, level, gravel and grass, well shaded and screened from neighbors, we had a picnic table and fire ring, plenty of space for our towed. We pulled into the back in site to take advantage of the superb water view, which meant running utilities under the coach. Bathrooms were clean however, disappointing for this class of campground, the laundry was clean and well equipped. Pet friendly but no doggie bags or disposal stations. WiFi was an extra cost, which is outrageous considering the price of this campground, there was however a free hot spot in the clubhouse, AT&T cell was okay. Plenty of food stores and restaurants about 6 miles down the road, the campground is ideally placed for exploring Mount Desert Island, and Bar Harbor area. There is some noise from the small local airport, which did not bother us. This campground is all about the view and is way overpriced for the amenities offered, there are more reasonable alternatives in the area, however, this late in the season most of them have already shut down. If not for the view we would have rated this campground lower. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.
