Most sites are large and fairly level. It is an old park that needs to modernize its utilities. Water pressure fluctuated from 15 psi to 50 psi. (They probably need to switch from their well to municipal water source.) My low voltage alarm sounded twice with voltage at 102. Sewer hook up is just a straight pvc pipe with no threads. Interior roads are paved, but lots of frost heaves and other dips. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For craft beer, the best is at Airline Brewing in Ellsworth. The best deal for lobster dinner is at Traveling Lobster on highway 102.

We stayed for 10 days at $459.00. Pull through sites were very long but close together. WiFi not good at all. Laundry on site at $2.50 a wash and $2.50 a load to dry. Machine small and old. Have traveled all over the US and have never paid that much. People in office nice. We would stay again. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and visited Acadia NP every day. The park is very big and accommodating with very friendly staff. We were very pleased with our site and with the interior roads. The location was perfect as Acadia NP wasn't far away as well as a Walmart and many lobster pounds and a winery. There is no cable and only a few satellite stations, but we were able to get local news. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We camped here as a base for visiting Acadia National Park. The staff was great. Check in was quick and they had a lot of local information for us. The parking area for check in was large and we were able to disconnect our toad at the site. The site was long. Plenty of room for the coach and CRV. It was opening weekend and there were about 20-30 other campers, none were close to our site. When full, it will be cozy with your neighbors. There were no trees in this area. We didn't use any of the facilities. The electric, water and sewer worked well. I did use a pressure valve for the water. The park has two area, one wooded and looked like seasonal sites. One open with pull throughs and back in sites on the edges. The park roads are paved and easy to maneuver. They claim no rig too big and they can accommodate any size here. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

The pull thru site we had was the longest pull thru site we have ever had. Site was level. 50 amp service was good, leg 1 - 122v and leg 2 - 122v. Water pressure was 42 PSI. Sewer connection about 6 inches above ground level. New picnic tables. There is free WiFi provided by Tango Internet. Performance was good with 5.00 Mbps download, 7.53 upload and ping of 145 ms. Acadia NP Satellite reception was not a problem. Good paved roads throughout campground. Very quiet. Although there is a game room and a playground this campground appears made up of mostly 55+. Lots of seasonals 'snow birds' here. Most seasonals leave their RVs by the end of October and head south for the winter. Campground is well maintained, although a bit on the older side. Grass was mowed and overall the campground is clean. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice cg near Acadia Nat'l Park. I don't remember what price we paid with out Good Sam's discount. Wide, looping roads with seasonal and transient people. People were friendly. The national park and Bar Harbor is why people come. While this is a nice park there is no dog area or anything else really special. Location, location, location. Tips for other Campers:

Make sure to hike Jacobs Pond and stop for the popovers. Yummy!! Also, Seal Cove Auto Museum is a must see. Many one of a kind historical cars on display. Extremely good descriptions and there is a display about how cars came to be allowed in Acadia. An audible pros and cons presentation on whether cars should continue to be allowed. Due to crowding they are looking for alternatives to manage the cars and people tredding on the grounds and air quality.

Overall Rating:

Very well maintained privately owned campground. Seasonal area is a bit tight, but, well laid out with FHU sites. Pool looks good, but, I never used it. They are always having some kind of events there, Pancake breakfasts and such and it seems to be very well received too. Front office staff is superb and very friendly. Grounds crew is 100% on top of maintenance, probably best I have seen on that front. While it is strange that they only have the one bath area for all of their sites, in truth, I never ran into more than one other shower in use, out of the 5, the entire season, so it works. VERY well kept bathrooms by the way. Will most certainly stay again. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Water pressure was on the low side, but, I have a tankless and it requires higher pressure. normal rigs have hot water tanks, so it will not effect the majority of folks.

Overall Rating:

Park is located about 15 miles from Bar Harbor, so a bit of a drive, but a scenic drive. The front part of the park has smaller sites that appear to be occupied by mostly seasonal occupants. The back part of the part has been developed for big rigs (both motorhome, fifth wheels and trailers). The sites are anywhere from 70 - 100 feet long, so plenty of room for car parking. There is also a good distance between sites so plenty of space to set up chairs etc. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Satellite reception was available in the larger sites, but would be hit or miss in the wooded sites up front. There was no cable TV but some channels available over the air. The WiFi was not great, but OK. We did not use the restroom so cannot comment. We did use the laundry room and the machines were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful giving out information about the area. Two staffers were also available to do dog walking for donations which they then gave to the local animal shelter. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV park was a real surprise ....set back from the road, it is kind of invisible. The front part of the park is gently rolling hills, lots of trees and seems to be for seasonal units. The back part is a massive open area with long, long, long level pull through sites for transients. 50 amps, full hook ups, this is a big-rig owners dream! Lots of space between the units, and very few trees to interfere with the roof-mounted satellite. The location is excellent, right off the main road to Mt Desert Island, and convenient to both Bar Harbor and Ellsworth and other towns along the coast. The office staff were super friendly and helpful ....they even offer welcome treats for pets and people!!!! We've stayed other places in the region on previous trips and drove right by this gem without noticing it. No more! This will now be our destination when traveling to Maine. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Large park with very easy access, roads are easy to navigate and sites are long with plenty of pull throughs. However sites are kind of close together. Seasonals are along the tree line while transients are in the middle in an open field. Basic utilities are satisfactory, need a sponge ring for septic. Park has wifi which all though is regulated is fairly strong and sufficient for email, searching, news, etc. No cable. Over air is about 10 channels. Park is located approx 20 minutes from Bar Harbor with very easy access. Office is well run and efficient. Owners take great care in maintaining sites, facilities and order. Sites are fairly close together, our picnic table was approx 4 feet from neighbors septic. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.
