When I was looking for a quick weekend in Maine, I found this adorable sounding cg. It was a very small quaint cg, ducks greet you'd you pull in. We called and indicated we needed 50 amp, but the spot we were given was not 50 amp and since they were booked at all spots, we left. - kimme

Wild Duck was one of our favorite spots in our cross country journey. Private, lovely scenery, quiet, clean laundry facilities. Some permanent residents. We wanted to stay longer but there was no room. Would love to go back to wild duck. - Katy621
Sep 2016 - $23.00
Wild Duck is a great campground. Settled in the back of a residential subdivision, it's very quiet with lots of tall trees and plenty of shade. Unfortunately the shade means no grass grows so our site was all dirt. Other than that, it was level, good sized, the hookups were great, and nice picnic table and good firepit, the WiFi was acceptable, and we were able to get 4G (Verizon). Their cable TV provides about 20 channels. Laundry is clean and capable with 3 washers and 4 dryers, and the bathroom/showers were clean. Controlled access to the park was via 4-digit keypad. - RobtL

Great Park & great service. Very big yet it did not feel crowded where we were. Lots of kids and seasonal campers & we see why. There are so many things to do for the kids. Enjoyed the lobster bake! - KodiTzu
Aug 2017 - $110.00
Very large park with a long check in line when we arrived. The people behind us and about 2 sites away played their music VERY loud and VERY late. That part wasn't enjoyable at all and the park didn't seem to do anything about it. I guess some people think they're the only ones entitled to enjoy their vacation? Other than that, the place wasn't too bad. We flew kites with our kids in the large field there, rented the pedal cars which was fun and rented a golf cart to get around the park. Like I said it wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't great for the money. The BBQ place that is close to the park was great though! - DaveNH
Aug 2017 - $110.00
We booked our trip of nine nights months in advance and this was the one trip the family was most looking forward to all summer based on what we had heard from others. What we experienced was not as good as we hoped for. The good parts in no particular order: 1) there was a bunch of activities and facilities to use 2) the pools were nice, and the main pool with a cover and cafe were excellent to be at 3) great entertainment scheduled 4) camp store was well stocked 5) there is a ton of things to do in the area and the park was nicely located. 6) free trolley service was excellent the bad: 1) no one drives 5 miles an hour!... lots of dust, and unsafe conditions for people walking and biking 2) was expensive - most expensive place we have ever stayed 3) was noisy - neighbors (and neighborhood) partying until 1, 2 and 3 in the morning many... some quiet nights but more often than not noisy neighbor nights 4) golf carts everywhere and people driving them poorly.. often kids driving them unsafe. The whole park is one big golf cart track Overall - I'm not sure that we will return. This was a large park and if everyone even marginally followed the rules established by the park, it would be a better experience for all, but unfortunately that wasn't our experience and the park does not enforce anything. My perception after 9 nights there is that this is more of a party destination and less of a quiet and family destination. - Matt7571

Aug 2017 - $95.00
Stayed here for about a week. It was a nice campground. They have mini golf, which we enjoyed with our kids and the pools were nice as well. We will go back. It was VERY dry and dusty due to no rain, so the dust clouds were huge when we were backing into our site and made it pretty difficult to see. It is something we definitely remember about the place, but it didn't take away from our stay at all. Just made for the coach needing a good scrub! lol Nice place, we'll go back. - DaveNH
Aug 2015 - $85.00
A crowded campground - but they all seem to be at Old Orchard. We stayed in the back, Pine Grove area, which was more private and had a new pool, which was lovely and private. Hate, hate, hate the razor wire fences at the front - it feels like a zoo trying to keep the animals in. But....it did grow on us. Sites near the back pool are nice... full sun - that is where we would get next.... pools at the front are nice... but right next to the road - would not want to have a site by the road - too noisy and crowded. Others we met said it was the nicest in Old Orchard area. Nice access to the beach. Trolley that goes downtown is handy. Fireworks on Thursday. Bathrooms are very clean, strict about bikes and fires after 11. Kids liked the ping pong, kids hot tub (a nice touch) and free mini putt. Speaking of kids - absolutely hate it when we are charged extra for the kids - this is supposed to be a family campground. Especially with teens, who are not partaking in too many camp children's activities. Dogs are also extra. With the Canadian dollar right now, this made for very expensive camping. Probably the most expensive campground we have been to. But... the campground is full, as many French Canadian families have been going there for years, and it is a desirable area. - User901
Sep 2014 - $40.00
We stayed here at the end of season when only about 25% of the campsites are open. The campground was very nice, clean, and quiet. It is conveniently located for sightseeing, shopping, and the beach. The staff was very helpful and offered great info on the area. The wifi was wonderful (our site was close to office); many cable TV channels to chose from. Would definitely stay here again. - Longhorn Fan

We stayed here overnight in a pull-through with full service. Very convenient to shopping and Old Orchard Beach. They have a cafe which serves breakfast off season and lunch added during the season. Everything worked great; nice level spot. The roads have a lot of trees so can be tight. Staff is friendly and helpful. - Catsinatrailer
Sep 2017 - $114.00
Staff was very friendly and helpful for the few things we did need including late checkout. Being a labor day weekend we reserved just several days ahead and managed to get a deluxe patio site. Pricey but in the Old Orchard Beach area and on a holiday weekend, it worked for us. Sites are good spacing in new section at the back of the campground. Not much in the way of shade but also allows for easy pull through access. - CelerraWizard
Jul 2017 - $105.00
We stayed in the new deluxe patio section, well laid out, excellent furniture and fire pit, utilities well located. Full sun in this area, still have construction going on but not intrusive. Staff friendly and helpful, very clean bathrooms and park, doggy stations throughout the park. Located right off the interstate, less than 5 miles to Old Orchard beach, I biked in 15 minutes. I liked everything about this park but felt it was over priced at least in the deluxe section. - LuckyT

Aug 2017 - $76.00
This place is a pricey but the location is great, the bathrooms were some of the nicest and cleanest we've ever encountered. The sites are pretty close together and there were LOTS of little kiddos riding bikes all over the place, which is sometimes unnerving with vehicles and trailers using the same roads. There is a nice grocery store about 10 minutes away (by foot) and you can easily walk into town in less than 20 to 30 minutes, which is very convenient. There is also a little trolley system which is only $1 per person but we elected to walk. There are lots of little shops and restaurants in town and it was buzzing!!! - Cinzia
Jul 2017 - $70.00
Check in went smoothly and the clerk was friendly and informative. Getting to our site was a little awkward. We could see our site from the front gate but it was suggested to go up and around. It would have been easier to drive straight to it. All the roads are nicely paved, but we found them to be a bit tight (turns/trees). Once at our site we found it to be a little tight to the neighbor behind us. We left our rear awnings in so their campfire sparks wouldn't cause damage. It's not very often that we have come across a campground that is this clean. Our site was pretty much spotless (including fire pit). Staff would stop their golf carts to pick up the smallest piece of trash. The bathrooms were quite possibly the cleanest we've ever seen (showers, too) any time of the day. Everywhere we walked was equally as clean. Although they were not sold out, it was pretty busy. Overall, it was pretty quiet at night (except for the blasted train whistle!). Tons of kids that were not too quiet in the early mornings. All the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. - BDD
Sep 2016 - $30.00
What can I say, other than the folks there are super super nice, it was mostly quiet (not traffic noise, but frequent train whistle), and the bath house was one of the cleanest ever! We were near to one of the bathhouses and I swear the guy was there cleaning every hour.
Some sites are tight, some spacious. They want to fit you in based on size of your rig. We were given a number of sites to look at when we checked in. No one stayed next to us so if felt larger then it would have if all the sites were full. This said, all the sites are nestled in nicely among the trees.
Pool and playground areas looked amazing, although we did not use either. We are thinking this will be a great place to come back to for a few days next summer with the grand-kids. An oddity was that the fire 'rings' were used washer drums. On the one hand, they were portable, on the other hand, they were tall and narrow, so the fire was not as visible. We will be back.
Our rate was off season and for W/E only (it had cable too, but that normally is more in the high season). They wanted to add $10./night for a sewer site when we arrived. - brentp

The park has a lot of seasonal park models. It's very emmaculate. Roads hard to get around. Some sites close. We camped way to the very back. Nice back in spot. The check in staff is super friendly, the owners and workers not so much. We was escorted to our site by what we believed to be the maintenance man, later to find out it could possible be the owner. He guided us backing in and our first attempt was spot on. Then he kept saying we needed over motioning which direction, so we got over. At this point I got out and and we was way to close to the electric box. He then threw his hands up in the air walked away. Went over to our friends waiting to back in their spot and to their escort saying how LONG a wait they were going to have while we got ourselves over more. Totally humiliating us right in front of them. Also lots of unessecary strict rules. Not to bash, but that's exactly what happened. 23 years of camping and never had that happen. - Ohioan
Aug 2017 - $78.00
Nice resort feeling, yet mainly woodsy camping sites. Ours backed up to the pool and made me happy. Bathrooms and showers are very nice as well as laundry room. Can walk to beach or take resort shuttle running every 15 minutes. Everyone very helpful and they work hard at keeping the place up. Oh and the snack bar, pizza was very good! - ThePattersons
Jul 2017 - $70.00
We stayed 7 nights. There is no weekly rate. Paid $70/night plus 9% tax so total cost was $76.30/night. Reservation process was easy. Check in was efficient and included an escort to the site (much appreciated because it's a big place). All hook-ups worked perfectly. We were able to obtain DirecTV, Verizon cell and Verizon mifi signals. We were in site #213 which has a pedestrian walkway on the driver's side and I do mean "next to it". Folks walk by very close to your windows. We had a decent amount of space on our passenger side but the land was a combination of dirt, dead grass and almost dead grass. The pond is pretty. We even saw Mama Ducks with her teenagers. The overall campground is generally clean and well organized. We visited during PEAK season. The park was completely full with tons of children. Unsupervised kids were riding bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc. with reckless abandon completely unconcerned with vehicles. Having said that, our neighbors were friendly and children were relatively quiet and well-behaved (not their fault their parents didn't monitor them on the interior streets). Pool areas were very busy with bodies nearly touching in the spa. We didn't use it but saw the beach shuttle running regularly. Staff was friendly and helpful. They gave us permission to wash our rig and car between 10am-4pm (not to disrupt water pressure for others). They also gave us great tips and a map for riding the nearby Eastern Trail bike path. Bottom line - we would consider staying here again but would evaluate all options first and we'd try to avoid peak season. If you love the beach and all that OOB offers (pier, restaurants, shops, carnival rides, huge candy store, etc.) and/or if you have kids, you're sure to enjoy the park and love the location. - GottaGoNow

Location, location, location. Five minutes walking distance from the main downtown area and the beach. Yes, it's run-down, kind of hap-hazardly run (they rented out my site while I was our driving one day and I returned to find a motorhome in my site but we worked it out). Bathrooms were clean, water hot. Utilities worked well, and if you ask when making a reservation, there are some sites where a satellite dish will work. No pull-throughs, would be challenging for big rigs. Sites are small and you are crammed in together, but the price is significantly less than other campgrounds in the area that are not as close to town. I would definitely stay here again. - ldukeb
Aug 2017 - $60.00
This is a very small and tightly packed campground. It is not big rig friendly, we are in a 36' motor-home and barely were able to fit. It is close to the beach and you can walk or ride a bike. They are a Passport America park but do not honor any discount until after Labor Day. Sewer is in an awkward place had to run the hose under the bus between the back tires. 20' of sewer hose and barely made connection. Due to trees we could not get a satellite signal. We were able to get over the air television. Would not stay here again. - SJake
Jul 2012 - $45.00
What this campground has going for it is that's it's about 10 minutes from Old Orchard Beach. And that's really the only reason to stay here. The sites are un-level, packed close together, and a bit run down. We didn't swim at the pool, but it looked well kept. Everyone was friendly and it was fairly quiet. - lopenzani

Oct 2017 - $30.00
Rate of $30.00 per night is with Passport America discount for full hook-ups, regular posted rate is $55.00 per night. Campground is a mixed community, cottages/cabins, seasonal and transients. The facility has a very appealing appearance and is located a short drive to Portland. Entrance to the park is a paved driveway that gives way to interior dirt roads once past the security gates. Our site, number 11, was back in and could be difficult depending on parked cars. All utilities are midway on left side of coach, easy to access and worked as intended. Pad is a mix of gravel and grass with patio area being grass. Our site was on a slight incline, just wide enough for slide-outs and awning, very deep and under a very large shade tree. Site included very nice picnic table and fire ring at rear of site. Bathrooms were clean, however there is a charge for using the shower. The facility has a large open green space and small playground for the children, 2 pools and hot tub. There is an extra charge for additional campers over 2 adults & 2 children and all guests. Verizon, Sprint and T Mobile all worked well. The owner was very friendly. At the Passport America rate this is a very good value for the area. We would stay here again if in the area. - ECM1
Oct 2017 - $30.00
Styled for 3 nights while visiting the area. As previously mentioned, they have very few overnight sites. FHUs worked as they should and were conveniently located. Cable channel selection was good. Wifi worked ok for the most part. Got a little slow every now and then. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I wouldn't consider it a destination campground, but definitely good if your in the area to see the sites. Restroom/bathhouse was nothing fancy, but clean. Water pressure in the showers could be better. $0.25 per 3 minutes for a shower. I would stay here again. - Kxbronco

Mostly a residential park with only a few sites left for short term use. The advertised WiFi is only around the office area. Our site was in the back of the park and very tight. We will not stay here again. - dehdave

Aug 2017 - $92.00
Lots of things to do at this park. Several pools and spas, playgrounds, and concert area. Good programs available for children. There are a fair amount of seasonal rentals here, but they are meticulously maintained. Most of the sites are nicely shaded. There are golf cart rentals available and a well stocked store. It is about a 10 to 15 min walk to the beach, but the shuttle is also available near front gate. We looked at other parks in the area while we were there. While there were other good choices in the area, we would happily stay at Wild Acres again. Very busy check in especially on Friday, but the office was efficient. - Hawkhill59

They were just winding down for the season when we stayed for a couple of nights.
Nice park with lots of amenities, also its proximity to the beach (10 min walk) is great. Can see why it is popular.
Our site was easy to get in/out. Services were easy to access. Site was level. Staff helpful. - Our-Wandering-Casa

There is no sign coming in from the west. Contact the campground and follow their directions. The site we were assigned was just big enough for the motor home. We had to park our towed across the street. The campground is about two miles from the beach. - Cmacoll64
Jul 2011 - $40.00
This is not an RV Resort, it is a trailer park that has just a few sites that they use for RV's. Actually the sites are set up for a permanent and you have to adapt your RV to it. Roads are paved but narrow and the sites are very close together. Listened to music from the trailer next to us all night. Out of the 550 plus sites they probably only have 10 or so open RV sites that obviously have had a permanent on them at one time or another. Had it not been for an appointment we had the next day, we would have left. We felt like we were in a summer daycare center with all the kids that were out and about and screaming. Gas powered golf carts going by constantly and a lot of loud motorcycles. Wi-Fi for $ (never ask) and only works at the rec. hall. Good water pressure is about all that was good here. The staff that was around were not friendly and didn't acknowledge we were even there. - buckeye1268
