Jun 2011 - $22.00
Nice park just 2-3 miles outside of Beausajour. Perfect if you are on your way to the Whiteshell Provincial Park. Lots of trees and grassy areas between sites. Modern washrooms are a little bit far from the campsites but the park has quite a few seasonal campers so that's not an issue for most people. Brokenhead River runs alongside the park and many people enjoy tubing down the river and you can also swim and play in the beach area by the river. If you are looking for a campground near Winnipeg, give this park a try. - ericmarlo
Sep 2015 - $25.00
We stayed in a full service site. The picnic table and firepit are situated in a private area adjacent to your campsite. The park is quiet and very clean. There are lots of opportunities for biking and hiking. We would stay there again. - foxflash
Jun 2011 - $38.00
Very nice Campground, quite place, lots of nature, animals. Sites are with lots of trees, table and fire pit (away from the streets, so it gives you more privacy). We did not use any of the facilities, some sites were pretty narrow to circle in. We first got a site that was almost impossible to bring our small 5th wheel in. Was no problem to change, office is close and people very friendly. We would stay here again. - Larry and Queen
May 2008 - $20.00
This campground is located about ten minutes outside of Winnipeg in a Provincial Park. The park itself has lots of hiking trails, a paved bicycle trail, beach, riding stables. You need to drive to most of the activities, except the hiking trails. We live in Winnipeg, so this a just a 15 minute drive from home for us; but once you are set up you feel as if you are hundreds of miles away. Sites are very large and private. We stayed in a pull through, which was different than most of the drive throughs we have stayed in. With these, you park alongside your spot and sort of have a private yard on the side of your unit. There is a small store on site to pick up necessities, but for anything more you would have to travel back to Winnipeg. But RV dealers/stores as well as restaurants and shopping are all only 15 minutes away. However, there is no wifi or cable TV, so it is a real "camping" experience. We camp here regularly when we feel the need to "get away" for a weekend. - Getagripp
Aug 2011 - $37.00
This is a far too expensive campground. One positive thing is that they were near places we had to go to. No Laundry available, sites look nasty. We had to change our site since the power connection was too far away. The electricity plug-in at the site was weird, one of the plug-ins was burnt and the other 3 were loose and hanging down. The park is more a Mobile Park than for camping. We would not stay here again. - Larry and Queen
Jun 2007 - $25.00
While the Mobile Home part of the Park was acceptably maintained, the RV section was grubby, had excess noise and partying by apparent seasonal users, with approval of management. Showers were not secure (no locking doors, both mens and womans showers accessible to anyone walking in through the laundry room). Management relied on users to do all the cleaning, therefore they were filthy. However, close access to Winnipeg, shopping and fast food. - RoseMarie

NEW OWNERS SINCE 2015
We stayed here 2014, 2015 and now 2016.
50 amp pull thru site weekly discount. New owners are very friendly and seem to care about their guests. Internet is very fast. Sites are big and level pull thru's. Full hook up in the right spot for a class A. No extension needed.
Picnic table and fire ring.
Rate is in Canadian dollar, weekly discount.
Last winter they renovated the reception, store clubhouse area. At check in I saw that there is a TV and pool tables.
We will be back next May for sure.
Looking at the bad reviews we were a bit scared coming here for the first time but our experience proofed that it's a good place to be.
Yes you can hear some freeway and some train noise, but it never kept us awake. Last night at dinner, I rather heard birds than the freeway. - Robert and Carol
May 2016 - $39.00
Located between highway and train tracks coming and going all night long, no sleeping at this park. Sites uneven, laundry room filthy dirty.
I won't stay here again. - debsrv
Jul 2015 - $30.00
We used this park as our base to explore Winnipeg. The campground is quite large and has what appears to be two sections. The older one has shaded, grassy sites under the trees, and is used by many as a seasonal base. The newer section is more open, big rig friendly, and has long pull-throughs. There is a playground, mini-golf, basketball and volleyball courts, and a shuffleboard area. The office area has a small store with food and RV supplies, a used book sale or exchange 1-1 of equal value, and there are billiard tables and video game machines. - DiplomatTraveler
Jul 2012 - $31.00
Very well run with all the amenities and proprietary security staff on site. Camping prices do not include daily entertainment access wristbands which are required. With campsite, they work out to $15/day each. Without campsite, they're $17/day each. Though primarily focused on long-term seasonal site rentals, they do provide overnight camping. Campsites are clean and spacious. Though they are family friendly, be aware that it is a private campground and any additional guests will have to purchase day passes for $17 each. If you prefer a quiet place to camp, Lilac Resort is definitely not the place for you. - Dubbya
Aug 2013 - $40.00
Everyone is packed in like sardines. Not a very clean facility. Mostly seasonal campers reside at this park. However there was no noise from the highway which is great. Good for a one night stay. Absolutely nothing to do outside of the park. Closest town is Winnipeg, which is 2 hours away. - Jaclyn
Jul 2013 - $30.00
Very nice campground! The owner's were very nice and helped out when required. Access to the site was very easy, with large wide turns. The bathrooms were a bit dated, but were clean. Nice fire pits, grass was very well kept, lots of activities for children and adults, including mini-putt course, playgrounds, horse shoe pits and pool. I would see the owner cleaning the pool every morning. We would stay at Rock Garden again! - Bruce1957
Jun 2012 - $28.00
Staff is friendly, courteous and accommodating. Generally speaking, the campground is well organized and orderly. Prices are quite reasonable but as has already been said, the amenities are a bit "summer camp-ish." Kids loved the pool, playground and store. Unfortunately, the pool is much too small and bathers quickly find themselves with "standing room only" on a hot day. Overnight campsites are close to the pool, store, bathrooms and showers but they are not shaded at all. If possible, try to book a seasonal site for multi-night stays. - Dubbya
Oct 2015 - $40.00
Great little park, with owners that were trying hard to please. Not a lot of atmosphere, but we were here to tour Winnipeg. Would stay here again. - Sealbch
Jul 2015 - $50.00
Rate shown is in Canadian Dollars. Superb campground. Owners are extremely nice and helpful. They tend to all of your needs in a timely manner. They are very knowledgeable of numerous attractions for all kinds of needs. Even some off the beaten track.
Wifi is blazing fast and works extremely well. Laundromat is spotless and not that expensive.
Do yourself a favour and stay there if in the Greater Winnipeg area. - Merveilleuse
Jul 2015 - $45.00
Great family friendly park! The owners live onsite with their family and are extremely accommodating! There isn't many 'extra' amenities and the sites are close together, but the friendliness of the family makes up for that. There is a green yard area and play set that the kids enjoyed. The park is very quite too! Very much recommended! - Julwil
Aug 2015 - $28.00
This park has one of North Americas best beaches! The back in sites tend to be a little short in length but the pull thrus are decent. There is 30 amp service but no water or sewer hookups. - Fun finders
Jul 2013 - $30.00
Very confusing signage. No one is in campground entrance building until 5 PM. Other hours, you must go into town to the park headquarters to register. Many permanent/seasonals--junky and not well kept. A dozen or so small sites for overnight stay. We would not stay here again. - MsLucy

They have the best private treed shaded and sunny sites. The views are spectacular from sites 4-9 lake view. Bay 3 are great for huge trailers lots of room for slides and awnings. A bit of a walk to the beach if your not in a lake view site but, plenty of parking. Electrical and water available in lake view sites and in bays 3 & 5. New shower building clean and spacious, only down fall is that you have,to pay $1.oo for every 3 minutes. Tennis courts available in nutimik but you have to drive from your site. Store and concession stand near by. Cabins and yurts also available to rent as well as small fishing boats for some of the best sturgeon fishing,in the province. There are two beaches at nutimik one behind the store at old nutimik and one at new nutimik. We've camped all over canada as well as the USA and nutimik is truly one of our top 3 places to camp. - Fun finders
Sep 2014 - $35.00
After reading all the good reviews on this place, I was excited, even though it was so far outside of Winnipeg. We camped mid-week in September. I was totally unimpressed. It seemed that after Labour Day, the owners quit caring about keeping the place maintained. The pool area was totally trashed with junk laying all over the place. The hot tub was hot the first evening, but then the air temperature dropped and the ripped solar cover just couldn't maintain the temperature. It was a total disappointment. Maybe this is a great place in the summer, but not worth the drive off season. On air TV was good. WiFi was good as long as you are near the pool, but it's filtered. - cmgoeke
Oct 2013 - $18.00
We were here out of season so can't rate a lot of the amenities but the staff were pleasant and the facilities were clean and it is one of the few parks open late in the season. Rate is Passport America. - vagabond8400
Sep 2010 - $22.00
Pleasant stop over. Friendly reception. Large sites with full hook-ups. Fairly clean washrooms and showers. Showers could use a place to hang things and place sundries. Nice pool and hot-tub. Easy access to Hwy 6. Good place to stay. I would recommend this spot. - User829
Jun 2012 - $25.00
This is a very pleasant small park. Only 10 of the short term sites have electricity (30 amp). Four of the back-in sites are in trees and beside a pretty stream with rocks in it. The pull-through sites are together in a open area with a gravel covering. There are a number of unserviced sites on level grass with trees to the west of them. There is a restaurant on site run by the owners which attracts passing tradesmen so it seems to have a good reputation. The price is very reasonable and the Wi-Fi is good. - JTD2
Aug 2015 - $28.00
Sites were wide and easy to get into. Level, soft gravel, difficult to level motorhome. It had rained, campground was muddy. Traffic noise from the trans Canada hwy was very loud. Staff was friendly and helpful. - MapReader
Jul 2015 - $1.00
Have stayed here several times and impressed with the progress the woner is gradually making in making this into a better facility. Paid CAN $. Do not know the US equivalent. Owner is friendly. Our pull-thru site was very side and long for our 40 foot 5th wheel. Services were good. Need to do a little more limb trimbing bit possible to avoid if you are careful. Fuel discount available for clients. Will stay again. - cdude
Jul 2014 - $40.00
This is a nice campground on the bend of the river. Good access to the park and the level sites. Very friendly staff. We were booked in for 5 days but a flood watch moved us out early. Staff were very friendly and helpful about the whole situation. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area - Peter McK
