6 RV Parks near Ile Des Chenes, Manitoba
Aug 2016 - $36.00
Total gravel lot, full service but small tight sites. Close to busy road so heard lots of road noise. People very helpful and pleasant, location for access to Winnipeg is great, but not a location for relaxation! - Konny
Oct 2015 - $40.00
Great little park, with owners that were trying hard to please. Not a lot of atmosphere, but we were here to tour Winnipeg. Would stay here again. - Sealbch
Jul 2015 - $50.00
Rate shown is in Canadian Dollars. Superb campground. Owners are extremely nice and helpful. They tend to all of your needs in a timely manner. They are very knowledgeable of numerous attractions for all kinds of needs. Even some off the beaten track.
Wifi is blazing fast and works extremely well. Laundromat is spotless and not that expensive.
Do yourself a favour and stay there if in the Greater Winnipeg area. - Merveilleuse

Would stay here again, flat and fairly quite. - wearecanadian
Jul 2016 - $39.00
This is a very large campground with many long pull throughs for big rigs. The interior roads were a bit on the narrow side, and as it had recently rained, these mostly dirt roads were rutted and muddy. There are large boulders to mark corners, and individual concrete site markers that posed some challenges, but we got in and out without a mishap. It bears watching, though!
The folks were very nice, the location convenient to the highway and to the city.
The sites were satellite friendly, and 50 amp with full hookups.
We would stay here again if we were passing through. - MerBee
Jun 2016 - $33.00
The bathrooms and showers in main building have mold issues and in need of upgrades/overhaul. We camped June 30th-July 3 was disappointed I how small, not much for shade/privacy, site was level but tables are about 8-10 feet from fire ring. Very poor/non existent drainage ifs storm hits. It rained on a Monday or Tuesday, still mud at site Sunday morning at departure! Old arcades that ate $2 were given .50 back. Only thing I liked was close to Tinker Town and Fun Mountain. Nice fireworks, $5 pork on bun July 1st but at $11 for firewood not listed on site was ridiculous. - Family Travellers 78
Jul 2012 - $31.00
Very well run with all the amenities and proprietary security staff on site. Camping prices do not include daily entertainment access wristbands which are required. With campsite, they work out to $15/day each. Without campsite, they're $17/day each. Though primarily focused on long-term seasonal site rentals, they do provide overnight camping. Campsites are clean and spacious. Though they are family friendly, be aware that it is a private campground and any additional guests will have to purchase day passes for $17 each. If you prefer a quiet place to camp, Lilac Resort is definitely not the place for you. - Dubbya
Aug 2011 - $37.00
This is a far too expensive campground. One positive thing is that they were near places we had to go to. No Laundry available, sites look nasty. We had to change our site since the power connection was too far away. The electricity plug-in at the site was weird, one of the plug-ins was burnt and the other 3 were loose and hanging down. The park is more a Mobile Park than for camping. We would not stay here again. - Larry and Queen
Jun 2007 - $25.00
While the Mobile Home part of the Park was acceptably maintained, the RV section was grubby, had excess noise and partying by apparent seasonal users, with approval of management. Showers were not secure (no locking doors, both mens and womans showers accessible to anyone walking in through the laundry room). Management relied on users to do all the cleaning, therefore they were filthy. However, close access to Winnipeg, shopping and fast food. - RoseMarie
Aug 2016 - $35.00
Bird's Hill Provincial Park is huge. There is a lot to do, including a really good swimming beach. We stayed just two nights. The beach and playground are great for kids. We stayed in Savannah Bay area of the park. The campsites are slightly odd - since all utilities are located at a corner of the site with is basically at the end of your unit. It may be difficult to connect. Make sure you have extra hose for either water or sewer. The sites are gravel, but fairly private. They are all pull through sites. Buses and small trees keep things fairly private. In addition to paying for you campsite, you must also buy a pass for the park. That strikes my as somewhat odd, but such is life. You can't buy the park pass when you make and pay for the reservation. The utilities were strong, though I don't think the water tasted very good. Cell service was just fine. There are a couple broadcast TV channels available from Winnipeg. The location is within 30 minutes of central Winnipeg, so I think that's pretty good. I would stay here again. - SeaTeacher
Sep 2015 - $25.00
We stayed in a full service site. The picnic table and firepit are situated in a private area adjacent to your campsite. The park is quiet and very clean. There are lots of opportunities for biking and hiking. We would stay there again. - foxflash
Jun 2011 - $38.00
Very nice Campground, quite place, lots of nature, animals. Sites are with lots of trees, table and fire pit (away from the streets, so it gives you more privacy). We did not use any of the facilities, some sites were pretty narrow to circle in. We first got a site that was almost impossible to bring our small 5th wheel in. Was no problem to change, office is close and people very friendly. We would stay here again. - Larry and Queen
Jul 2016 - $25.00
Excellent service, clean facilities, friendly staff, good food. - MrsDanD
Aug 2013 - $40.00
Everyone is packed in like sardines. Not a very clean facility. Mostly seasonal campers reside at this park. However there was no noise from the highway which is great. Good for a one night stay. Absolutely nothing to do outside of the park. Closest town is Winnipeg, which is 2 hours away. - Jaclyn
Jul 2013 - $30.00
Very nice campground! The owner's were very nice and helped out when required. Access to the site was very easy, with large wide turns. The bathrooms were a bit dated, but were clean. Nice fire pits, grass was very well kept, lots of activities for children and adults, including mini-putt course, playgrounds, horse shoe pits and pool. I would see the owner cleaning the pool every morning. We would stay at Rock Garden again! - Bruce1957
