Had a wonderful stay @ Rivers! A week turned into 2. Now, reservations are a must, as this is a very active park, what with a lake, beach, playgrounds, walking trails, etc., but it is worth it. Because it's Canada's 150th, firewood was free & in abundance. We will stay here again. The town of Rivers itself also has a kick-ass bakery. We camped at Rivers Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

We loved this place.... this is NOT a resort rv park, but a great outdoor camping experience! Our site was very spacious and private. Firewood is PROVIDED FREE! The lake was close by and just wonderful. We arrived too late to put in our kayaks, but boat access was easy. The office closes very early in the afternoon (our only mark on the service that was a negative) because it is very hard to get information and the pass that signs say MUST be on vehicle at all times. We camped at Rivers Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Out on the prarie. Full time seasonal campers on lakeshore sites. Some party seemed to be held after dark from that direction the one night we stayed. Night sky dark enough to view the Milky Way. Trash cans close by. We camped at Rivers Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The owners of CJ'S Snack shack are very friendly and helpful nice people. Unfortunately the beach was closed during our visit due to algae, but there was a nice outside pool in Hamiota (25 mins away). Having the town of Rivers close by was nice if you needed anything.

Good clean smaller park. Lake front available but subject to seasonal flooding. No pets allowed on beach but anywhere else is fair game. Mini golf and concession stand available during peak times. Lots of walking trails in area. Town is only a few minutes away if you forget something. We camped at Rivers Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.
