The sites in the campground are somewhat tight together. And there is not a lot of room for fire rings or kids to play. He site needs to have some maintenance overall with the grounds, the parking areas, and the roadways are very broken up. At one time I think the campground was very nice but you can tell that it has fallen into disrepair over the last several years as they have not put any money into maintaining the grounds or the utilities at the campground. The pool area appeared to be nice but we did not use it . There are several private residences in the middle of the campground which is somewhat odd and generates a lot of coming and going traffic. Do not follow GPS directions to the campground or it will take you on some dead and residential roads that do not connect to the campground I recommend looking at aerial photos of Google maps before you navigate to the campground. The road way back to the campground is very tight through residential neighborhood. The campground staff in the office was very nice and helpful. We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is an older park, celebrating their 55th anniversary, but it is very well kept! We asked for a waterfront site, but there were very few that would accommodate our 37 foot rig and truck. The sites are pretty tight too, like they've been in such demand (and I can see why with the location) that they've built a site everywhere possible. The site we ended up on really had an obstructed view, but we were happy enough after a huge event! There was a tree there behind the site next to us that a duck kept parading around! Low and behold the next day I discover a hole in the trunk that is down about 3 feet! Inside the trunk? her ducklings!! I went and told the fantastic staff and they came right down to see about it and brought a stool and a fishing net to 'fish' them out.. We were grateful to see Mama and her ducklings swim off!! We had a good bit of rain and chilly temperatures, so we didn't try out the pool or any other water activities, but we really enjoyed sitting out and reading with a wonderful breeze!! We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Bar Harbor is close to Baltimore, Havre de Grace, Bel Air and White Marsh. You could easily drive to Pennsylvania or Delaware. There is so much to do in this area!

Stayed 3 nights. Campground dates back to the 60's - small, tight sites. Great location right on the water, if you can just adjust to your neighbor farting in your window. We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

There was so much duck-poop all over the grounds, it was difficult to walk around the site or the campground. A pretty water view, but noisy due to a busy road and railroad just west of the campground. There were only a couple other transient RVers; most of the park was filled with permanent residents. The sites are very close to each other: it would be claustrophobic in the summer. We would NOT visit this park again. We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Long Term campers are forgotten by management, at 850 a month you'd assume roads would be swept, leaves raked and friendly courteous hosts and lots of activities for kids. We found this not to be the case. Half the campground has a ban on campfires. The campground is surrounded by water but there's no swimming as we saw, it's all tidal marsh lands about 3 foot deep. They do allow dogs and motorcycles. Getting in touch with anyone in the office after hours is next to impossible. We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Not a fan. Expensive for incredibly tight sites; washroom was a nightmare; never once saw the management. When we could not fit our 43 ft MC in the site assigned we just made the executive decision to pick another with fingers crossed. Asphalt pads were not level and rutted. The Full hookups all worked including the cable. Mostly just long term residents making this a trailer park. Will not return. We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed at Bar Harbor for the past two summers. In 2015 it was for an extended (3 months) period and for 3 weeks in 2016. (We have family close by, hence the long stays.) We had the same electric issue during our 2016 stay as a poster here did in 2015. The area was experiencing extreme heat which caused the local power company (BG&E) to dial back power to its customers during peak periods. The result was that our EMS would cut all power to our 50 AMP coach. We toughed it out by raising our AC temp a bit and not running microwave, hairdryer, etc. during those times. Oddly it didn't happen in 2015. Some sites can be tight and close to neighbors. Some will flood during heavy rains. It is an older park, but they do maintain the bathhouse well and the staff is very friendly & accommodating.

It may seem pricey to some, but if you consider the proximity to Baltimore it is one of the best places we have found to stay. We paid a long-term rate in 2015 and a weekly rate in 2016 that were less than the daily rate. They will also discount if you pay in cash. It is a convenient location for anyone wanting to visit the Baltimore area with access to both I95 and more local roads to travel. Some nice restaurants close by as well as just about any shopping one might need including RV repair.

It is a combination marina and RV park so the weekends tend to get busy, but there has never been an issue with loud or obnoxious people. It can be "iffy" getting a signal for satellite television with all the tall trees. We use a tripod mounted dish and were able to make it work last year on a different site - no luck this year. They do have cable which was fine for our stay. We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

My family stayed here last week during the week and it was great. This was a quick and easy get away for us as we only live 1.5hrs from the grounds. It was nice and quiet, friendly rvers, and good weather. The bugs were a little annoying but we should've had spray with us. We didn't use the showers or bath but the pool was really nice. The pool had some leaves in the bottom but it wasn't excessively dirty. There are two piers and a man made beach with chairs and gliders provided. Our family will definitely be returning soon! It's a nice park, right on a beautiful lake. Personnel were friendly and helpful. The big problem is their power. When we were there it was very hot and humid, and of course desperately needed the AC. We have a large 40' DP, but typically ran just one AC at a time. We have a UPS between us and the park's power pole, whose job it is to shut off power to the coach if the power is too high or too low. And after 3 days it started shutting us down every few minutes, with a "Low Voltage" error. We have another power meter which confirmed the low voltage condition. The maintenance man suggested just removing the UPS, as nobody else had one and they were all fine, but that just did not sit right with me. We just ran our generator until the next day when we were cheerfully given a refund for our unused days, and moved on. As we were packing up, our neighbor said that just recently a virtually identical coach as ours, with an external UPS like ours, had the same problems we did, and ended up leaving. She said, "Anybody here who has one of those UPS's has problems". So, the warning is, if you come here, be aware that the park *may* have electrical issues, and your electrical system *may* be somewhat at risk. I would certainly want to have a UPS to protect the RV. We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

We made a reservation over the phone. They picked out a site based on our size, 40ft. It was perfect for backing out. Great view of the harbor as well. We were a day late but that was no issue for them. Sites were very close, but there was room for a picnic table, fire ring, and concrete slab for the picnic table. They had a special area for parking your trailer and car which was perfect for us. Definite plus. We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

I agree with some of the things the previous poster mentioned. It does have some waterfront spots and the sites are paved but it also has a rather lazy maintenance staff. The fire ring on our site was full of trash when we arrived. I had to ask at the office 3 times before it was cleaned out! Also the laundry room/building was nasty! The side of the building was covered with dead bugs, there were cobwebs all over the laundry room and the floor hadn't been swept in days. Since there was a broom available I swept it. I complained to the office but they didn't act like it was any big deal. This park has short term folks and long term folks along with apartment dwellers. When checking in you made aware of their dog policies. They prefer not to see and especially hear them. But they do not enforce their own rules. During the week end dogs barked day and night. The worst offenders are the long term lessees. One next to us had two dogs that barked constantly. We will never stay here again. Our rate reflected discounts for a weekly rate and for paying in cash. We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Many of the sites are right on the water and provide beautiful water views. (So close to the water in fact that you can see why flooding during storms is inevitable.) They have paved driveways with concrete pads. We have four slides, so we are wide, we used our pad as a sidewalk to the rear of the site, placed our table on the grass near the fire pit and took advantage of the water view. A walk way along the bulkhead gave access to various piers for you to fish or crab off of. The 50 amp service was excellent. The bath rooms were clean but outdated. The pool was nice with views of the river through glass panels. They rent kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. Front desk staff/service was excellent. We really liked this CG and plan to come back. We paid for a "waterfront" lot. Our site was on an inside corner and had a power pole, complete with guy wires between us and the water. That left about six inches of "waterfront". The access road has a lot of low-hanging trees that require driving in the left lane to avoid. The last half mile of road is through a residential area, and is rather narrow. We will stay here again only because it's the only game in town, and my wife went to high school nearby. We camped at Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.
