This campground is a gem hidden in the woods. Where else does the owner meet you at the entrance and give you the choice of several sites, shady back-ins or sunny pull-throughs? Where else does the owner help you back in and offer his assistance connecting to the utilities? Where else does the owner tell you to stop at the office after you are settled in and then take care of the paperwork? All here at Bumble Bee. I also rate CG's by the "sleepability" and this one gets a 10 in that category. No road noise, no Interstates, no trains, no airplanes taking off and landing at night...just peace and quiet. There is a county airport just down the road, but in the time we were here I only heard one plane flying overhead. We were not close enough to hear the take-off's and landings, if there were any. Although I didn't use the rest rooms or showers, I did check them out and they were immaculate. They were clean, they were bright, and they smelled fresh. And the 10 or so seasonal rigs that were here were all clean and well-taken care of; none of those junky campers that hadn't been washed or used in years. Plus, no junk lying around, no abandoned vehicles, and no trash. Every site in the CG was clean and manicured. The owner was going to cut the grass on our first day here, but he held off because he didn't want to disturb us. Thank you! I do have to admit that we were here mid-week so it may be busier on the weekends, but that's one of the perks of being retired. This is not a resort, so don't look for a pool, or a dog park, or a children's playground, or a fully stocked camping store, or a restaurant. But if you want a nice, quiet, well-taken care of campground, this is the place to go. Shhhh! Don't tell anyone! Let's keep this our little secret. We camped at Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

My wife and I stayed at Bumble Bee Campground while at Deep Creek Lake. The camp is about 10 minutes away from the lake. Very clean and quiet (besides the neighbors driving there trucks and 4-wheelers up and down the road they share). The owners are very nice and helpful. The sites were a little small for trailer and truck, but the wildlife was great... birds, chipmunks, deer & turkeys. It is a very small campground, but very nice. Had no problems backing in with a 33' trailer. They do sell firewood, but not many supplies in the camp store. We stayed for 4 nights and had a great time. We will stay here again the next time we go to Deep Creek! We camped at Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Campground is quiet. I'll give it that. Small rural place. No concrete or gravel on our site. The entrance/exit is only one lane, you are in serious trouble if you meet someone coming the opposite way. Narrow roads interior also. Bathrooms were spotless which is a plus. Utilities worked fine. Exiting with a right turn needs to be done very cautiously due to a deep culvert on the right. Beware! Very basic park with a fairly high price. That all being said. There is not many choices in this area. We camped at Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We just returned from two great days at Bumble Bee and we upon arrival we encountered a major problem and that was we could not disengage our fifth wheel from the hitch. We had planned to roam the area, fly fish on the Savage River and it seemed that all was lost until the owner went and got her daughter's car filled with gas and saved the day. Great people, very secluded and quiet and lots of shade. We will go back again. We camped at Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

A very very nice campground. We arrived late at night and were greeted very nicely by the staff. They even helped us set up at ten o'clock at night. The campground is one of the quietest I have ever stayed at. The staff checked on us every night to make sure everything was fine and I even saw them help out a young couple who were camping in a tent for the first time which was very nice to see. The bathrooms were wonderfully kept and there was not a speck of trash to be found anywhere in the campground. The campground would have gotten a ten rating if only they had a little bit more level sites. The owner was working on several sites to try to get them more level however don't forget to bring at least 3 inches worth of leveling blocks. We camped at Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Quiet rural campground. Owner is extremely pleasant and maintains the campground nicely. Campground is only 5 minutes from Deep Creek lakefront. Most sites are pull-through with gravel, he also has primitive tent sites. Nature is around here, he does have the periodic bear, and coyote wander through camp. This is one of our favorite places to stay. We camped at Bumble Bee RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.
