Great park. Wonderful location to Washington and Baltimore. We've been to Washington many times but first time to the Museum of the Bible and Air & Space Museum at Dulles (amazing). Convenient transportation via Metro and interstates. Staff and facilities were excellent. Stayed in site 606, premium pull thru, spacious, level and easily accessible. Only issue was a wedding reception was held at the Ballroom and the thruway to the Ballroom ran by our site. Wedding party didn't understand the importance of low speed within a campground. Speed control should be stressed to non-campers by guards when granting admission. Enjoyed our stay. Will come back. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Travel Trailer.

Thanks for staying with us and for the feedback. We agree that guests shouldn't be speeding through our campground, and we appreciate you letting us know about the problem. We'll make more of an effort to notify event attendees that low speeds are important. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and we'd love to see you again soon!

I stayed in site 608. Fortunately the site was dead level as my levelers had failed on this trip. I was able to extend all three slideouts without the levelers problem free! Also, you can have orders shipped to you at this location and they email you when the shipment is received. Awesome customer service. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Agree with previous reviews. The park is a great location to visit Washington DC, Baltimore and Mount Vernon. Employees are well organized and efficient in customer service. Each day, we left by 9:30 AM and returned around 7:30. The park has a third party individual that will take care of your pet or pets needs while touring the area. You work directly with the individual for times and frequencies. Each day a note is written in detail how the pet health break went. We used this service for five days. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

I am so glad we stayed here for our visit to DC. This park is awesome! We loved our site (806) which backed up to the playground which our kids enjoyed. Check-in was quick and easy and the lady checking me in was friendly and helpful. We attended the class they offer on visiting DC which was so informative and I'm so glad we did that. We were able to purchase our metro cards at that sightseeing session and she answered all of our questions about getting around DC. We really appreciated not having to drive anywhere, but just getting on the bus at the RV park which took us to the Metro station. It was so easy thanks to the sightseeing session we attended where she explained all that. We also enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after walking so much during the day around DC. I appreciated being able to have a package delivered there too. Verizon and AT&T worked very well. I can't say enough good things about this park. It is pricey, but for us it was the best option for visiting DC. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to the area. Oh, and I wish we would have had time for the evening tour of DC that the park offers. We'll definitely have to try that next time. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We journeyed here to enjoy the Cherry Blossom Festival this year. Although, I feel the park is pricey, the amenities are more than adequate to justify the price. We used the Star Cafe a lot and the food is very good and freshly cooked. WiFi has improved a lot since our last visit in 2016. Verizon, both voice and data are strong. It's simply a good place to "camp" when you visit the D.C. area. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Park your car and use the 83 bus to get to the College Park Metro station and then take the Green line into the Mall. We found the Jim Henson/Kermit the Frog statue at the Univ of Maryland (student union).

Don't leave out a trip up to the Baltimore Inner Harbor and eat an excellent (although expensive) meal at Phillips Seafood. You can tour several historic ships at the harbor.

Also, the Flag House where the Star Spangle Banner Flag was created is just east of the harbor.

We're glad you enjoyed the food at the cafe and the improvements in Wifi; we put quite a bit of work into it this past winter! And we love that you made a trip up to Baltimore. It's such a lovely city to visit and definitely underrated. Happy trails!

This is a large park outside of Washington DC. It is very well-maintained and very clean, and offers just about everything for everyone. We came here because we had to attend a funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. We stayed for three days. The staff is great and the amenities are countless. There is a large store where you check in, and you can buy just about everything in there! The park is open year round and is quite busy. It is best to book online! We had a nice pull through site which was level, it had a fire ring, picnic table and a patio with table and chairs. It is a little bit congested but wooded and nice. There are hiking trails, tent sites, RV sites and rental units, but the park is very well thought out and planned. We would definitely stay again, even though it's pricey. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Thanks for leaving us your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the quality of your site and with the Wifi. Should you visit with us again in the future, please know that we'd be more than happy to put you in a site that's right for you, and that we're always happy to relocate any camper who isn't satisfied with where they've been placed. As for the Wifi, we've been working on improvements continually over the last several years - we know we've still got farther to go, and we hope that should you return, you'll notice an improvement in service. Thanks again for sharing your experience with us, and thank you for staying at our park! Happy trails!

There is nothing negative about this Park. Great interior roads. Spacious facilities. Grassy sites. City bus pickup ($1.00 each way) direct to subway ($6.00 r.t.) which drops you off a block from the National Mall. Clean pools, bathrooms and showers. Restaurant with good food that was not too expensive. VERY helpful staff. Expensive but worth it. (I do not recall our site number.) Would certainly stay here again. Traffic getting to Park was horrendous, stressful but not fault of Park. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I see why people love this campground. It's clean, has lots of amenities. But the sites are short (we have a 39 ft fifth wheel). We had to park the truck with part of it on the small grass strip between sites. Your door sort of sees the neighbors sewer. It's convenient to Metro stop. I can't say enough good things about this park. It was one of the nicest RV parks we've ever stayed in. Every convenience you can think of. We stayed for several days while visiting the monuments and museums in Washington. The staff are very professional and friendly. There is a 4:00 sightseeing meeting on weekdays that is informative about what to see and do in the area. Local buses run every few minutes and stop in the park to transport you to the train station - takes you to downtown Washington in only a few minutes. We also took a night tour of the city that was arranged by the park. Our site was level and had good cable and wifi. Bath houses (very nice and clean) are located throughout the park and there were plenty of trash containers. Another nice thing is that they don't charge you if you have to check out early as other parks will do. This is the closest park to the D.C. area and I recommend it to anyone. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate of $63.00 per night is with Good Sam discount for back-in with full hook ups. This is one of the most professionally run parks we have stayed in. Although the rate is outside our budget and higher than our comfort zone, the management invests the money back into the staff and facility. The previous reviews are accurate. This is a controlled access park. The park has a very inviting and appealing appearance. The staff, and there are many, are all very friendly and very willing to help and accommodate. I'll not repeat previous posted comments but will suggest that if you select this park to give serious consideration to their guided bus tour (not a Grey Line Tour) of DC at night. This exceeded our expectation, and in our opinion, was well worth the $50.00. Considering all the factors, location, appearance, staff and amenities this may be one of the few parks worth this price. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.
