This is an exquisite Resort Park, and a great home base to visit Washington. The site was excellent, water at 45 psi with two hoses attached, sewer excellent, and 50 amp circuit was perfect. Site was level and very well maintained. The park is spotless and nice flower pots in many areas. The amenities are terrific, two pools, hot tub, sauna and a very clean laundry room. Lots for the kids to do, with an outdoor movie every night. On site snack bar is terrific with fresh cinnamon buns and Herseys ice cream. Never been in a nicer park. Expensive, but good value. They do charge for occupants including children and pets. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

Closest campground to downtown D.C. Suggest one drive to Metro Station four miles away on U of Maryland Campus and take green line in and out. Hit rush hour coming back by 4:00. This is a huge park (400 sites?). Because of size one has to pay attention getting around inside park with so many side streets. Sites are right on top of each other and many rigs had to really push into the bushes to fit. Suggest one rent a premium site. Level and more tidy. Many activities. All of D.C. is generally overgrown, dirty and unkept, busy, and noisy and this park, at least for me, reflects that feeling. This is a good place to stay for visiting D.C. but not for a camping experience. We stayed four nights. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

Closest park to DC, and they offer so much: bus to local metro rail, pre-loaded Metro cards in office, dog walker on premises, hiking trail that is great for walking dogs (or yourself), over 400 spaces from back-in to premium pull through, daily sightseeing seminars from people who know their stuff, tours that leave from the property, add or subtract nights with no penalty (unheard of), café, two pools, hot tub, putt putt, water parks for kiddies, nightly movies, strong and free wifi. Wow. Cons: this is a busy park, so if you cannot stand people go elsewhere; The back-in sites aren't quite long enough for longer trailers and tow vehicles so there are many trucks parallel parked on the street which makes it a little tight driving around. Still, as a base for exploring the city they are about perfect. Our site had open access for satellite, but if you wanted more shaded, they have that, too. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed a week. First neighbors had children who began yelling at 6:30 am. The next two had barking dogs. The park needs a bit of "quiet time" enforcement. Great otherwise. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park really does it right in so many ways. Since so many people come to this park to visit the sights around Washington DC, the first night there they had a presentation you could attend which gave you all the information you needed to tour D.C. and the surrounding area including how to navigate the metro and what tours were available. We had a problem with our cable and they came out within the hour to fixit or if they couldn't fix it they offered to move us to a new site. They even deliver propane to you coach should you need it. The spaces were easy to navigate and I didn't feel too close to my neighbors. They even have a 1.4 mile hiking trail in the forest that surrounds the park which we loved. The bus stops at the park so you don't even need to drive in the city if you don't want to. I could tell that customer service was job one with everyone I met who worked at the park. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

I am so glad we stayed here for our visit to DC. This park is awesome! We loved our site (806) which backed up to the playground which our kids enjoyed. Check-in was quick and easy and the lady checking me in was friendly and helpful. We attended the class they offer on visiting DC which was so informative and I'm so glad we did that. We were able to purchase our metro cards at that sightseeing session and she answered all of our questions about getting around DC. We really appreciated not having to drive anywhere, but just getting on the bus at the RV park which took us to the Metro station. It was so easy thanks to the sightseeing session we attended where she explained all that. We also enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after walking so much during the day around DC. I appreciated being able to have a package delivered there too. Verizon and AT&T worked very well. I can't say enough good things about this park. It is pricey, but for us it was the best option for visiting DC. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to the area. Oh, and I wish we would have had time for the evening tour of DC that the park offers. We'll definitely have to try that next time. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

Should you visit with us again in the future, please know that we'd be more than happy to put you in a site that's right for you, and that we're always happy to relocate any camper who isn't satisfied with where they've been placed. There is nothing negative about this Park. Great interior roads. Spacious facilities. Grassy sites. City bus pickup ($1.00 each way) direct to subway ($6.00 r.t.) which drops you off a block from the National Mall. Clean pools, bathrooms and showers. Restaurant with good food that was not too expensive. VERY helpful staff. Expensive but worth it. (I do not recall our site number.) Would certainly stay here again. Traffic getting to Park was horrendous, stressful but not fault of Park. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

I see why people love this campground. It's clean, has lots of amenities. But the sites are short (we have a 39 ft fifth wheel). We had to park the truck with part of it on the small grass strip between sites. Your door sort of sees the neighbors sewer. It's convenient to Metro stop. Thanks for staying with us! We're glad you enjoyed the amenities and the proximity to DC. We do understand that some of our sites are on the smaller side, and we're sorry you felt cramped. We do have larger sites available for bigger rigs, and we'd be happy to set you up in one if you choose to visit with us again. Thanks again and happy trails!

I can't say enough good things about this park. It was one of the nicest RV parks we've ever stayed in. Every convenience you can think of. We stayed for several days while visiting the monuments and museums in Washington. The staff are very professional and friendly. There is a 4:00 sightseeing meeting on weekdays that is informative about what to see and do in the area. Local buses run every few minutes and stop in the park to transport you to the train station - takes you to downtown Washington in only a few minutes. We also took a night tour of the city that was arranged by the park. Our site was level and had good cable and wifi. Bath houses (very nice and clean) are located throughout the park and there were plenty of trash containers. Another nice thing is that they don't charge you if you have to check out early as other parks will do. This is the closest park to the D.C. area and I recommend it to anyone. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

Second time we have stayed here. Staff is outstanding. I needed a truck repair facility and they went out of their way to find one. Amenities are excellent - café - laundry - recreation. Metro bus runs from campgrounds to train station that takes you into DC. It is one of the higher priced campgrounds, but as they say, "you get what you pay for." Site was a back-in and sites are typically close. It was a nice level gravel site with full hook-up. We were there 6 days. It is relatively quiet - some noise from interstate traffic. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

Have stayed here many times over the years. The park has made many changes and in all cases are improvements-and it was good from beginning. Easy to drive, and LEVEL sites, obvious hook-ups make that part easy. Registration is easy, friendly and informative. Want to sightsee?..they are anxious to help with metro or driving maps and suggestions. They cover everything about the park at that time also plus maps of park amenities that we find helpful.

If no RV, check out cabins. Large, with microwave and stove our daughters' family of five had plenty of space. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park, very expensive to go with it. We did get an upgraded site that had a nice patio. Nice pool and waterpark. They had a nice camp store that was well stocked and a RV shop just 5 minutes away. It was convenient for touring Washington DC. The staff at the tourist center was very knowledgeable and helpful. We did take the subway into DC (I would also suggest it as parking would be awful). They also had a mini golf course that the kids played for just $1. Overall it is a nice park. I just did not see that it was worth the price, but it is the nicest in the area and very convenient for being the tourist. If we go again this is where we would stay.
