Sep 2017 - $10.00
We arrived late at night. Found our registration in the late arrival holder outside the office. As we arrived at our site some fellow campers came over to aid in backing into the site at night. Nice shaded site with full hook ups. Very helpful staff in and outside the office. Large clean pool was very inviting after walking around Gettysburg all day. Overall a great stay. - Bower72
Aug 2017 - $10.00
Our $10 rate was based on Coast to Coast. We knew they would not offer us full hookups, based on information in our C2C resort guidebook. Our site was much flatter than many of the reviews I've seen. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice and uncrowded even though the park was pretty full. Had no trouble maneuvering our 30' travel trailer and was able to back in with ease. Overall good experience. Quieter than I expected during the summer months. - Joe525

We have visited here in the past, and can see that they have worked hard to solve the sewage and electrical problems. They have a great recreation area, that includes a basketball court, shuffleboard, volleyball, a pavillion. and an Olympic size pool. Plenty of activities scheduled for the kids, and re-enactors camping in their area. The lots aren't large, but wooded. They have an enclosed dog park. AND it is in Gettysburg. - lynette47

Dec 2017 - $35.00
The site was a mudhole. The roads highly confusing and once down a lane, hard to turn the rig. Most sites are Park models or trailers, so there is little choice. - DustyBob
Oct 2017 - $79.00
Trying to stay near Frederick MD, my usual favorite campgrounds were booked. Weekends in Oct are popular and we booked late, but we were able to get in here. I see why now. This campground is very tight, there were trailers within inches of the roads/stop signs throughout, and its a very uneven campground with all kinds of hills and valleys. The roads are very narrow bumpy paved, some gravel. Most of this place you can hear trucks thundering by, as its really almost right next to Rt 15. It is also full of permanent sites with sheds and junk thrown around. The "bathhouse" was a little tiny building, looked like cabin, 2 bathrooms, 2 showers. No hot water in one, and no paper towels to dry your hands except for the am we left. The only dumpsters were at the entrance and we were far from that. Glad we weren't staying a long time, would have had to keep hauling trash in our car. The only thing good about this campground is it's close to Gettysburg, but so are several other campgrounds. Glad we checked it out, but will never stay here again. - letsgorving
Jul 2016 - $64.00
Our site is right beside a major highway. We were NOT told that at the time of reservation (in my opinion this should be disclosed at time of reservation).
Prior to arrival and at time of reservation I asked if sites are level multiple times! I was told yes. Get here, front wheels are off the ground. I asked to move sites. So they gave me 3 other options. All too short for us and even more unlevel (for our 40 foot motor home). I see at least 20 sites that would have worked for us that are open, and have been open our entire stay.
Most sites are not level.
Grounds are un-kept. Grass is up to my shin. Were told their lawn mower is not working (no excuse in, my opinion when one can hire landscaping help).
Sewer connections are uphill; therefore not draining properly.
Bathhouse is not air conditioned or heated, not even ventilated. Semi clean.
Some permanent sites are unattractive ("junky"). Others are well-kept.
Had to pay in-full at time of reservation, no refunds. Now I see why! Lesson learned!
Thankfully we are out and about being tourist and not at the CG often. We will not return. Found several other campgrounds nearby that looked like a better fit for us. - JohnsonFam

Oct 2017 - $52.00
Location is why you would come to this park. It is very near Gettysburg and an easy drive in. The pool was closed for the season when we stayed, but the campground had lots of room for kids to play. We stayed in the Pull Thru spots near the entrance (B1 - B10) and they were only ~1" out of level. I did walk around and see many site further up the hill were way out of level (5" - 7", based on blocks under tires). - JFB1
Jun 2017 - $59.00
If I had young kids the $59 they charge might be worth it as they have a pool, ball field/courts, horseshoes, a fishing pond, nice fast food café and ice cream. But $59 for me is way too much. This is an older park and it is showing its age. Showers were not clean and needed repairs. Toilet/sinks were OK but room needed some repairs. I could never figure out the shower water controller so my water temp was always on the hot side. Take a look inside the laundry room and you will see years of plumbing repairs. Most drive thru sites in my area were uneven so bring your leveling blocks/wood. Site signage almost nonexistent. I had to drive around until I found mine. Park is huge, a former farm. It has several separate sites so it is not crowded. Mature trees in my area. Overpriced for the rate they charge. Electric is above ground (this tells you this is an old park). It was convenient to Gettysburg though so it met our location needs. Roads between sites were tight, mostly one car wide. Would not stay there again. - Camden12
May 2017 - $45.00
PROS: Beautiful setting outside Gettysburg. Easy entrance and short trip to Gettysburg. Outstanding setting and good amenities. We hope to come back someday during one of the twice-yearly Bluegrass festivals. Nice stage. Lots of different camping sections. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is that the bathroom was not very clean when I used it. Also, dim and unheated, with shower temp at lukewarm. Brrr. - Paul and Jeannette

Sep 2017 - $48.00
This is a campground made out of an open area, not much shade, it was very hot there but then we were only there at night, we stayed a couple nights so we could see Gettysburg Battlefield and area. Park is okay for a couple nights stay but not much more than that. It is level, gravel lots and not much more to say about it. - GA-RVers
Sep 2017 - $49.00
Park is in the wide open with no shade, very hot! Sites are okay, nothing special, just gravel and grass. No security at night because we tried to call about people playing music outside late at night (way past quiet time). NO trash pickup, tv was okay until a 5er pulled in next to us and plugged in their tv cable and then we got snowy reception. - GA-RVers
Aug 2017 - $55.00
The owners and staff are very accommodating. We were even driven around to scout out and choose our site. Pool was pristine with comfortable chairs inside the pool and in the shaded patio adjoining. No lifeguard means strict enforcement of safety rules. Unaccompanied 12 year olds in the pool were not happy to be ejected until they had an adult with them. We had a site on the stream and my grandson and dogs enjoyed catching crayfish and minnows. Nice level site and happily, we were allowed a tent plus our rv on the one site. Not often the case in private parks. A reason to book again! My adult son and my grandson enjoyed camping out while we were content in the RV. quiet park. Well maintained. Little road noise, but the tree frogs and cicadas are quite loud at night, which I enjoy. - WMRamblers

Mar 2018 - $60.00
We stayed at Artillery Ridge for the first time over Easter Weekend. It was very close to the battlegrounds which was nice. The over all campground seemed nice. It was rather quiet for spring break, but we were ok it. The campground staff were super friendly. When we checked in our original site was kind of swampy due to the recent melting snow, and they immediately offered up 3 other full hook-up, pull thru sites we could move to. This was done with out me even asking in to move, so I thought that was very nice. The store was well stocked and had a nice variety of selections. We were right next to the entrance, but it didn't bother us at all. Everyone seemed to abide by the speed limit. The sites were rather close together, but again it wasn't bad. We've been to campgrounds where you literally were on top of each other. We walked around the whole campground and found it to be rather charming, the further you got away from the entrance. Watching the horses gallop around the fields was fun, although our dog was less than interested in it. The only complaint I could see was more enforcement of the leash rules. A couple of times people had their dogs out without a leash, which made it more of a chore for us to monitor our dog. Other than that we had a good time. We'd come back again. - Bebe and Pat
Oct 2017 - $37.00
You can't get any closer to the battlefields than this! As soon as you pull out of the driveway you begin to see monuments, original buildings and battlefields. This is a nice park and we would come back. We had plenty of room on either side of us and utilities were well located and worked fine. A Wifi repeater was just outside our back window so we had great Wifi. The Verizon signal was 4G with 3 and 4 bars. Don't know about cable because we have a dish. The only problem was it is hard to clearly see the boundaries of your site because of the leaves falling from the trees (October). Our site was almost level - had to raise one side a couple of inches. Can't complain about that! I have my own washer & dryer but used their larger one to wash a bedspread. The equipment was great - large capacity and not too old. However, the laundry room wasn't the cleanest I have ever seen. It wasn't 'dirty', but it was messy. The office people were great and very helpful. There are sunny spots and shady spots. If you prefer one over the other make sure you tell them when you make the reservation. Near our site (just behind us) were a couple of trailers that are homesteaders. 2 of them were rather junky, unsightly and initially turned us off. As it was, no one was staying in them while we were here so we didn't let it bother us. We really enjoyed our visit to Gettysburg (a week) and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this park. - jomark
Sep 2017 - $60.00
Park was a little crowded in the front but the overflow site we were in was spacious. The road are a bit narrow for a big rig but we got through. A bit dusty from all the horses in the corral next to the sites but not really a problem. - Bobby Will

Awesome park. We're here in fall. So not much going on. Quiet. - TheRealMcCoys
Jul 2017 - $56.00
This is your old fashion KOA - a destination family park: kinda rustic, kinda modern, kinda quaint and very woodsy. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had a problem with enough voltage to run our ac (site 24). They found a site that had plenty of power and we moved. This is not only an entertaining destination but a place to stay while visiting a very popular historic sight: Gettysburg National Military Park. They serve very reasonably priced and delicious breakfasts on the weekends. - Roger H.
May 2017 - $59.00
We had a very large, shady, pull through site. The staff was very helpful. The dog run was pretty large and clean. It's a short drive to the historic Gettysburg sites. - JCJ1

Jun 2016 - $28.00
Site was very shaded, and quite secluded. Camping pad was nice and level, although the driveway was slightly sloped. Nice amount of space in between sites. Very short walk to bath house. Campground was relatively empty our first night (Thurs), but filled up the next day. Still, heard hardly any noises from our neighbors. Camp hosts were very friendly, and came over to introduce themselves and go over park info shortly after we checked in.
Facilities/Overall Park: Bath house was centrally located. Pretty average as far as cleanliness goes, but everything worked, and the showers were hot. Great recycled tire playground, and awesome nature center w/ turtles and various birds of prey on site in the Manor Area. If you head over to the Houck Area of the park (about a 15-20 min drive), you'll find the lake, falls, and another campground. The Houck area definitely tends to be more crowded. I can't speak to the campground, but the lake is nice, and the falls are beautiful. The hike up wasn't too strenuous, either; my husband, dog, and 5-year-old handled it just fine. - Jenventola
May 2016 - $24.00
Campground loops were at the top of a hill away from the rest of the park. sites were good sized with lots of woods behind most sites. High power line did run through nearby. Cell phone reception was good. Day use area at lake was free to campers, but parking filled up on holiday weekend and it was a long, steep hill to walk down to the lake and back. - direwolf2001
Jun 2015 - $28.00
Well kept state park with a large campground. Electric loop is one of the older loops and sites are not all that level. We stayed in one of the H/C sites with electric in a tenting loop because access was easier. Each loop has a host site but only one of the five hosts was present. Campground is uphill from everything at the park and plan on driving down to the lake or trail heads. Within the park hiking available or just across the road to the larger Catoctin National Park with plentiful trails and rock outcroppings to visit. Lake has a couple of nice sand beaches and the falls were running due to recent rains. Park tends to get a lot of day use at the beaches but the campground is secluded and access restricted. Restrooms were clean and serviced daily. We camp here two to three times a season. - HR52

Feb 2018 - $18.00
We camped here in February and there was only one other camper. It was quiet except for the faint noise from the highway. The sites are pretty big, and they have a fire pit, picnic table and a little bit of a workbench for some reason. We paid $18 through self registration when we arrived by using the provided envelopes. A Ranger checked in with us A few minutes later to see how everything was going. Lots of hiking trails here but not much else to do in the winter. We stayed at site 20 which was very close to the Porta John that we used since the bathroom facilities are closed during winter. - The Bees
Dec 2017 - $18.00
I used this campground for a quick overnight stay. This campground recently reopened after a long closure following heavy storm damage, and unlike the other campground at Cunningham Falls, is open year round, but with limited winter service, no reservations taken, and a lower fee charged.
Roads are paved and in excellent condition, but are tight, as are most sites. Sites are gravel and mostly level, but many can be a challenge to get into, this is not a big rig friendly campground. Picnic table, fire ring and lantern post are provided. Sites are spaced well, some closer good for groups, but many are spacious and well apart from other sites. Power at my site showed reversed polarity on the 30amp, and the outlet itself was installed upside down. The 20amp was good. No water or sewer hookups, water is available from spigots throughout the campground.
Shower house was closed for the season, a portapot was provided, but I did not use it. Campground was very dark but there was a good deal of road noise from Rt15, which continues all night long, but this was not an issue inside the camper. I saw no staff, and the campground was otherwise empty. It proved to be a good place to overnight with my small travel trailer. - Cyclonic
Jul 2008 - $30.00
We camped in the Manor area which allows pets. While the sites were relatively close to the road - short driveways - they were nice and fairly level with stone dust pads, fire rings, picnic table and lantern posts. I easily fit my Roo 23SS on the site and oitched a tent for my son and still had plenty of room. It was a short drive up to the Falls and lake area. Park people were friendly. - DaGrinch

Jun 2017 - $69.00
We camped here with friends who have a seasonal site. This is a very large park! You will either need to bring or rent a golf cart here, over a mile long. Very large easy to navigate sites. We camped in the "front section" and the only thing you can hear is Highway 15 running right by! You will most certainly want a site in the back. Also, there was a slight noticeable sewer odor at times. Overall, the location is within easy distance of all Gettysburg has to offer. Very friendly staff, seasonal campers very nice, and park has alot to offer. Good internet and cell service. We will return. - Chieftain1986
May 2017 - $64.00
We were in a pull thru at the back of this very large park. Hook ups worked well and were placed well. WI FI was non existent in our section, a call to the office explained they were having internet issues. There was a lot of trash left in our site from previous campers. Cable worked well.Themed activities were well thought out. We will stay again. - mahill526

Stayed 3 nights here, beautiful park with great sites and lots to do. Pull through easy with lots of room for slides. Nice to not camp on top of other rigs. Love this site.
Lots of activities in the park for all. A little pastry, fresh vegetable cart came by with lots of fresh corn, onions, zucchini and homemade pies to buy, just wonderful. - D'art campizard
