Placed in front pull-thru sites. These are the only sites we saw that would fit big rigs. The lady at check-in said we could stay connected in the site but couldn't make the U-turn into the road. Had to stop and disconnect in the middle of trying to make turn. Also, wouldn't have been able to make turn into the site if still connected. Back area of campground is down a hill as is a third pool, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts. Campground clearly caters to seasonal renters and overflows with kids on weekends. Some seasonal sites look quite junky. Small fenced pet area had ground covered in wood chips and large tires half buried in dirt for dogs to play around. Small sandy playground for kids. Friendly staff, good power and water pressure, small stone fire pit. Sewer connection above ground level and wouldn't twist on. Required weights be put on top to hold connection in place. Pools clean but crowded, didn't use bathroom/shower facilities. Internet connection was useless. I thought rate was very expensive for services and facilities provided (no discounts are offered). Use caution when cutting across Waterhouse Road that merges with Rt 28 just before the campground entrance, it can be a very dangerous area. Time your approach to the campground or you will end up in a long back up of traffic waiting to cross the Bourne Bridge onto Cape Cod. Friday traffic is extremely bad going onto Cape Cod. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Motorhome.

Centrally located park with a camping feel. The sites are all dirt and sand in a heavily wooded area. The park has a nice pool, playground, shuffle board and also the standard amenities. They have security at the entrance, cable at each site and their wifi worked well for us. The problem with the park is the traffic in the area caused by the Bourne bridge and the entrance to the park is extremely hazardous. Overall Rating:

I love this campground and all it offers. Sites are plenty big for our 35 foot trailer and our F350 leaving room for anything else we want to do. The free WiFi was very good. The staff is very friendly whether in the office, at the pool or out and about cleaning the campground and sites. The campground is very clean and the many seasonal sites are very neat, I like the sites that have crushed shells for driveways. Many seasonals are in the back and there are areas just for renters or pop up campers which is nice. We were able to enjoy ice cream from Clameys and also were able to enjoy the pools on this beautiful weekend. The campground has everything we love in a campground including peace and quiet so we could relax. Always look forward to our trip here. Of our 20 or so trips a year Bay View is a must for us and one of our 3 favorite campgrounds. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A 50-yr old campground that is doing very good. Only real issue was that the sites can be muddy when it rains and mud splatters on the sides of the RV. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were disappointed with The Cape. Lots of small towns with the same shops. Guess if you are a big beach person it would be more interesting. If you have the time, I suggest you also book a site in P-Town.

We found Bay View to be pricey for a cramped, nothing special site. The wifi was pathetic, especially for the price. Their bathrooms were clean and the showers were nice but still very tight. The laundry facility was the most I've ever paid $3.25 per load for wash and .25 for 4 minutes of drying time. Two loads was $10.oo and there were no baskets or carts to transfer from the washers to the dryers. The campsites were very close and there were a lot of seasonal campers which equals lots of 'stuff' around their trailers/motorhomes. Not sure we'd ever stay here again. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Motorhome.

We were attending a wedding and found most of the RV parks booked months ahead. Bay View was available and although expensive, we took it. Site was wide, level and wooded. Backed up to a site that had a derelict trailer and lots of junk. If we had invited guests to visit our site, they would have to pay $7 each to enter the park if staying more than 30 minutes. If we return to area, will look for another park. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very large, well spaced out campground. Entrance/exit from 28 is difficult at high traffic times. Site was a back in site for our 45 ft coach. Site was nice and roomy, clean and ready for us. Due to trees, satellite dish would not work.

Campground has hills and turns but they are manageable. Check in was prompt and friendly. Several seasonal campers, but tastefully finished sites.

Very nice campground. Friendly staff. Doubtful you will be able to use satellite while here. Wifi was off and on. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a really nice, woodsy, clean campground. It has a state park feel. Our 50 amp, FHU site needed some work to level as the terrain is hilly. The terrain also is what gives the cg some ambiance and charm. Our site (#254) was spacious with lots of shade. We had no road noise, but did notice that the sites closer to the entrance had noise. BE VERY CAREFUL of the cg entrance & exit. Our GPS had us going just a little farther per the address. The entrance comes suddenly and is exactly where another road is merging (just past the Subaru dealership). It is a little dicey. Because Hwy 28 is so busy, the exit is hard in a MH pulling, and there is a dip. We cracked our windshield. It might be easier to go up the road before hooking up the toad - that would be my recommendation. The WiFi was excellent as was the cable. Good Verizon cell service. Very friendly staff & easy, efficient check-in. Guard at gate checking passes to enter & exit. We would stay here again. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park, older but nice. The staff are knowledgable and helpful.

Be careful the entrance comes up quick and it is by a merging road.

The entrance comes up very quickly right after another road joins on the right. It is a divided highway with little access to the other side so don't miss the entrance. This campground has a lot of permanent summer campers. It is very hilly with some tight turns. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Motorhome.

We just love it here, the feel of the Cape. We camp here at least once a year and will continue to review it because it is great. It is hilly but nice to walk around. People are friendly as is the staff. We laugh as the workers rush to clean the sites as trailers pull out. Some sites get cleaned 2 or 3 times as the guys just run around making sure the place is in great shape. The pools were open but a little too cool for us to go swimming. Stopped in the ice cream shop a couple times, really enjoyed that. As always great fire pits and good wood made for a couple of great fires. We just love it here and will continue to camp here for as long as we can. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Another great stay, we love it. We had a great site with a great view. Hook ups were great. Check in was quick and easy. We were able to relax here. A lot of the seasonal so we're working all weekend getting ready for the winter. Bought wood and it burned very well, kept us warm all weekend. Just a real nice, pleasant and friendly place to camp. Next year we hope to stay longer and go a little earlier in the season. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We said here for five nights in August. I was nervous about the bridge traffic but the staff recommended that we should arrive after 3PM on a Saturday, they were correct. Very clean and maintained grounds with a lot of seasonal campers, but I have to say they keep everything extremely clean. Check in was easy with a guard to watch people come and go. We stayed in site # 48 with our 33' motorhome and toad, this site has plenty of room. No issues with electric, water of sewer. Nice dog park to let the dogs loose and have them run around. If you are visiting the Upper Cape this a great location. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Again if visiting the Upper Cape, towns of Bourne, Sandwich, Falmouth, and Mashpee this is a great place to stay. You want to be on this side of the bridge if visiting the above towns, not on the "mainland". Also ferry service to Martha's Vineyard is within a 20-25 minute drive. We loved visiting and walking the dogs around Falmouth in the evening. Like to ride a bicycle? The Shining Sea Bikeway is great. Check out Cape Cod Coffee Roasters and the local farmers markets.

I was given the absolute worst site. For some reason the firepit was next to all the hookups,at the end of the site. This meant I had to forgo campfire-otherwise I risked my camper catching fire and getting filled with smoke.I looked & this was the only site set up this way.Clearly a bad placement.I previously stayed here & enjoyed it but this year things had changed. The music was obnoxiously loud & the wood was terrible.Previuosly Bay View had had great, seasoned wood. There was black plumes of smoke all over because of the crappy wood-it is required that wood be purchased here, though many people bring their own.My reservations were messed up twice, cutting short my stay.Bathrooms were not kept as well as they used to be. Showers are so tiny you cannot bend to pick up shower caddy.Changing room next to shower also small. My daughter is an 88 lb 13 year old & even she had trouble moving around! This campground is disappointing. Sad. It used to be great. Staff is helpful though. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Tent Trailer.
