We stayed here just after Labor day, when the Cape gets a little quieter. The park was very quiet at this time, they have a lot of tent sites that were mostly unoccupied, and the hook up sites were roughly 75% filled. We stayed in area C, which is mostly wooded and shady, and that is what we prefer. Sites were large and well spaced, and the ground was very sandy. Most sites in this area have water, electric, and gray water. There are some full hookup sites closer to the main office. There are many seasonal sites, and they have there own section of the park, so the transient campers have there own section, and tenters have another area to themselves. We have stayed in this part of the Cape before, at a State Park, which is just a few miles down the road. This area is great for a Cape vacation as it is central to so many great things to do- the bike trails, easy hikes, the beaches and national seashore, and less than an hour from anything the Cape has to offer. The campground has a long dirt road entrance, setting back from the main road a ways, and there are dozens of hidden gnomes along the road that the kids would try to find. A great campground overall- some roads are tight and windy, signage needs some updating. Nice fishing/paddling pond. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Staying after Labor day you will save money going to the beaches, they are free (normally $20-$40). Some easy short hikes nearby- strongly suggest the Atlantic cedar swamp walk at Marconi beach. Lots of great seafood everywhere you go.

Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 7 nights in a site for big rigs. The site we had was on sand and dirt, and not level. If it had rained our sand pad would have been a sand pit and we would not have been able to get out. Is it that hard to put a little gravel down? Big coaches need gravel! After seven nights we were as dirty as can be due to the vehicles going by on the dusty road. No Wifi anywhere other than the office area. We were on the closest site to the office and could not pick up any wifi signal but sure did pick up the smell of garbage from the dumpsters right in front of our site. Our satellite did not work here (way to many large trees to get reception). If you have a dog there is ample area to walk. If you are looking for a dust free park.... look somewhere else. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Memorial Day weekend with friends, had a nice stay, even though I didn't feel well. Lovely campground, hope to visit again in the future. Camped here in my Volkswagon Westfalia. Band on Saturday was very good, but nowhere to dance. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here before Memorial Day so it was not crowded. Our site was a pull thru with a fire ring and picnic table. Access was tight but manageable. We hit a few low branches on the way out. Roads in the park are dirt as was the site. It was a challenge to keep the motorhome floor clean. Watch for pot holes near the entrance. There are several long term sites and no hook up sites throughout the park. Check in was easy and efficient. We were directed but not escorted to our site, which was near the office. The park location worked for our Cape plans and we would stay here again. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

As others have noted, it is a beautiful campground nestled in the woods. We stayed here in our 40 ft motorhome + tow, and it was very challenging maneuvering the tight turns and backing in to our site in C loop. Branches need to be trimmed so they don't scrape the roof, and we had to position our RV in our site so slides wouldn't hit branches. Large pot holes added to the white-knuckle drive. The few spaces near the office should really be the only ones available to rigs this size. We wouldn't even consider it if you have a motorhome bigger than 40 ft. Great location for exploring the Cape. We were here in early May, stayed for two nights, it was very quiet! Office staff was training a new seasonal employee, everyone very friendly. Our T-Mobile and Verizon service worked fine here. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful campground in a convenient location to explore Cape Cod as well as Plymouth/Boston. Sweetwater Forest is an adequate name, as the campground is heavily forested. Our campsite was large and very private. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Be aware that the campground does not have a laundry on site. Otherwise, a great place to stay. Pepe's restaurant in Provincetown has good seafood with a nice view of the harbor. Plimouth Plantation in Plymouth is a really interesting living history facility to learn about the Pilgrims and Wampanoag Indians.

We stayed here in early April, just after the park opened for the season. It was mostly empty so gloriously quiet. The woman manning the check-in desk was pleasant and helpful. She gave us a choice of sites and we took a short walk to check them out and make our selection. They do have sites suitable for larger rigs, but they also have some really tight, steep, twisty roads leading to sites for small rigs or tents, and you do not want to inadvertently turn down one of these roads with your 40' motorhome and toad. Be sure you know the route to your site. Our $45 rate reflects the early season discount of $10. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a large, family-owned campground nestled among the hills and trees. It is centrally located on Cape Cod. The office and camp store are well equipped and staffed. It has some facilities and events for kids and families, though I did not use these.

The campsites are rather artfully placed among the trees and hills. Even though they are rather close together, they don't feel crowded. I really liked my site on Loop C. Facilities were above average, restrooms very clean and roomy.

All in all, this is a great campground. My only real annoyance is the half-mile or so of bumpy gravel road at the entrance. I also wish they had laundry facilities. I recommend this facility to others and will return if ever in the area again. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is tough on your first stay go maneuver in with a larger RV but once you have done it once it is easier. The park is quiet at night and has plenty of room on all sites to give you privacy. Very easy in and out of the park from the road but the signage is a little tricky for the first time. Plenty of room to walk the dogs but watch for tics. Sweetland is a large campground located just about central Cape Cod. It is as called Sweetland Forest because it is an atypical campground with a lot of trees and the sense of being in a forest. Starting at the road driving in, the cg is about a 1/2 mile in from the main highway, most or all roads are hard packed sand. Roadways within the cg are somewhat narrow and though they have some sites near the office to back in larger campers, some very large 40 ft. motorhomes or 5th wheels would have a hard time navigating through the park. My wife and I loved this park because of the quiet sandy forested setting. The campsites are also hard packed sand and for the most part pretty level. Some sites may be a bit challenging to either enter or exit from depending on which way you come into your site. We had move from one site to another because we added additional nights at a later date. Our first site only had 30amp service. We had trouble with breakers in our rig popping. Could not run one AC even with nothing on. Contacted the office and they sent a fellows out who found out my pedestal was only showing 106 volts, or a brown out. Later, we ran the AC. When I moved from the first site I did damage to my motor home basement doors that dragged on the slope of the campsite as I exited the site. However, if I would of gone the other way this probably wouldn't of happened, but I didn't want to drag my empty dolly around the bumpy narrow twisting road to our new site. Rests rooms were clean with 4 toilets in each, three sinks and two showers which were a little small. Water pressure in the showers was great and the water was as hot as my home. Office staff was excellent checking in and very helpful in suggestions of things to do and see on Cape Cod. One waterfront restaurant suggested by them became our go-to while there. This campground represents to my wife and I why we like to camp. We are already wondering how soon if will be until we return. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Many Cape Cod beaches in the area. Office staff will assist you. Cape Cod paved bike path is the best we've rode on. Bring or rent bikes. Care full through out the Cape on parking. Towns such as Chatham are lurking around the corner to write $50 parking tickets. Most fun Provinetown, 32 miles.
Brax Bar and Restaurant is the closest water front place, huge patio overlooking a harbor and good food and decent prices, 10 miles

Nice big road going in. Advise taking the exit side in if you are a big rig towing. It's easier. Nice site for a big Rig. People and staff were VERY friendly. BIG wild turkeys walking right through camp. Peaceful setting. Site itself was very big and clean.

We have a 45' Haulmark MotorCoach and it can be difficult to locate a campground in the Northeast. Also very convenient to ALL of the things to do on the Eastern end of Cape Cod!!!!! We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

The campground was fine except for the dirt roads and dirt sites. The sites were huge and easy to level RV. Did not have sewer hookup but they did have a drain pit at each site for gray water. Convenient to bike trail and Cape Cod National Seashore. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Quiet heavily wooded campground. Sites were very large but getting in and driving out from our site was very challenging (and my husband is very experienced and competent with our 40' rig). Might be big issue for a newbie. Friendly helpful family owners and staff. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely wooded park with most sites nicely spaced. WiFi is only available near the office. If you need to use the restrooms and your site is near a lot of tenters you will find the restrooms are very crowded. The park needs to build more. Very nice environment in the middle of the woods. Lots of room in the camp sites though with the size of our rig and towing you have to understand we take up two spots in the C section. It is a bit tight on the roads in the campground trying to maneuver a bigger rig, just plan on going very slow. We have a 34 foot motorhome and tow a Vibe with a dolly. Plenty of walking areas. No issues with hookups and they now have cable hookups. Gray water is dumped in a gravel hole on your site but you need to either get a honey wagon or go to the dump station for black water which is no issue for shorter stays. Great location to tour the Cape. No lights so at night you are really in the dark, bring a good flash light. If you are out after 10pm you need a key to open the gate at the entrance. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
