This is a gated campground with grass and dirt back-in sites that are plenty big enough for slides and awnings. The utilities at our FHU site worked well and we had good Wi-Fi and were able to pickup a few OTA channels. They have lots of activities for kids and a big playground. It was easy to get in and out of the park as was our site. Our only complaint was the barking dogs, the worst we have experienced in almost 4 years of full-timing. The park host warned them a couple of times but it didn't help much. I don't believe it is a regular issue, just a few campers that didn't care what others thought. The host are very friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Shady Acres Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

Mostly seasonal campground with plenty of space available for daily/weekly/monthly campers as well. Friendly, welcoming owners are on-site, so any problems are taken care of immediately. Lots of activities for adults and children. Large, shady spaces, swimming & wading pools, rec hall for the many group activities offered, free fishing on private pond with no license required. Easy access to highways to visit tourist areas/attractions. We camped at Shady Acres Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

Shady Acres is actually very close to where we live. We did mid-week camping, just before the kids were out of school, so it was a little less crowded. The staff at Shady Acres were very nice and friendly, but my first impression of the campgrounds was that it should have been called "Sandy Acres" - it was very sandy there and easy to track a lot of it inside your camper. The campsites were very packed together; although again, being a little off season, it didn't affect us. It was very quiet and it seemed as though there were a lot of permanent "residents" living there. I wasn't particularly "wowed" but it was nice. I would imagine during the busy season it would be a lot more crowded and noisy. The price was reasonable, no one bothered us, and we had a nice campsite (#107) with sewer,water,Wi-Fi (although it wasn't very reliable - however - I don't go camping for the Internet). They had a nice clubhouse and the bathroom was clean. We do know people who camp out here seasonally (with younger children) and really love it! We spent three nights here while visiting nearby Plymouth. We asked for a quiet spot when making the reservation...we received a site directly across from the playground, and very close to surrounding neighbors. The sites were extremely close together, in pine trees, but no shrubs or anything between the sites. Everyone was sandwiched so close together. We went back to the office to see if there was a more quiet site, and were directed to another site. They never told us it had no sewer and was at the end of a dead end. We had to back in to turn around, then go back to the dump station to empty out, then back up again into the site. We decided to stay nevertheless, because at 6:00 at night, how much choice do you have? I will say it was a quiet area...well, except for the kid with the recorder. The dump station access was very difficult. No one checked on us during our stay, or offered to refund the difference between a full-service site, and one with just W/E. Granted< the difference was minimal, but the offer would have been appreciated. We did not visit the pool and other facilities, but my husband and daughters visited the playground. They returned after ten minutes, after another girl had described how she liked to pull the heads off her Barbies and pull out their hair. Shall we say that it was a very tough crowd. There was Wi-Fi advertised, but it did not work at our site. We would not return. We camped at Shady Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Almost totally seasonal campers with a handful of back to back transient sites. Roads are all dirt and narrow. Site was level but all hard packed sand so it makes for a dirty trailer. Site was very large but utilities were a total guessing game, we ended up using someones else's water and the sewer did not have a connector on it so I had to put weight on the hose so it wouldn't come out. No cable TV and on air is sketchy at best. Wi-Fi worked OK. Pretty noisy at night even after "quiet time". We camped at Shady Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo
