Great little state park, known locally as the Goshen Ocean. When we arrived with our travel trailer I headed to several of the potable water stations located around the campsite loops. They were all very low pressure, timed push button, faucets that would be fine for filling a water canteen or jug, but not our fresh water holding tank. I decided to head to the dump-station hoping there was a potable spigot we could use. After looking at the campsite map, I didn't see a dump station. I headed out to the check-in station and asked the ranger. She informed me that their dump facility was about two miles away, next to the park headquarters office and maintenance yard. We headed over there, and quickly filled our tanks without issue from a dedicated potable water station adjacent to the dump station.

The restrooms and shower nearest to our site were fine. Clean, but aging.

While there, we took several hikes around the pond area, swam in the campers-only beach (which is located across the pond from the more crowded public access beach), and attended several of the children's workshops hosted at the Nature Center located within the park. We camped at DAR State Forest in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, and the campground was pretty full. Even so, it was nice and quiet. The facilities were clean, and the shower was very nice. We hiked some of the trails, and went down to the beach to check it out. Very nice.
This is the type of campground we like and we'll definitely be back.
The only gripe I had is that they had the fans in the bath house on high constantly, and it was freezing cold in there. I asked at the gate, and was told that it was to keep the floors dry. They did turn them off, but just for the rest of the day.
We'd definitely return.
Just one note, the dump station is about a mile from the campground at the park headquarters. Just ask at the gate for directions. We camped at DAR State Forest in a Travel Trailer.

This year we canoed the lower lake and made it to the spill way where the kids enjoyed walking down the slanted concrete hill. The showers had awesome water pressure and plenty of hot water. We really enjoy this campground and look forward to it every year. I did ask about the location of the dump station and was given directions, as it was about 3/4 of a mile away from the campground. There is a general store off of the campground where you can purchase forgotten supplies. We will be going back next year. We camped at DAR State Forest in a Travel Trailer.

I wrote the last review and we went again this year. If you have a chance to hike to the "Balancing Rock" due so. It's a must see of what the glaciers left behind. We had a great time this year as well. We look forward to visiting next year. We camped at DAR State Forest in a Travel Trailer.

This state campground was very nice. The sights are roomy and spread out. The roads were great for the kids to ride bikes on. There is a campers only swimming beach that was nice. The lake also was great for canoeing, kayaking as engine powered boats are not allowed. There's a wildlife viewing center, but we didn't see any animals. We did take the short hike to the fire tower and if you are brave enough to climb the steps there is a beautiful view from the top. My wife and youngest son only made it a quarter of the way up. The campground was patrolled often by a D.A.R. State Forest employee (I don't know if it was because it was a holiday weekend). Oh, they do not have a dump station as it says on Reserveamerica's web site. We would definitely go back again. We camped at DAR State Forest in a Travel Trailer.
