This place looks like it has finally closed as suggested in a 2004 post. Although it was open last year, all rigs are cleaned off from the premises and the web site telephone number is "no longer in service". Make way for some condo's! - jdkd123

Easy commute in and out of Boston. Nice large site with fire pit and table. Trees were trimmed high enough to our 13' high coach to fit comfortably under. Lots of exposed tree root to trip you but that's what camping is all about. We were in the site just across from the office. The main cg area is tight and crowded. We were very happy with where we were assigned. The park sign is hard to see as it is hidden behind tree branches. When leaving with your unit, recommend turning right as traffic is very heavy and fast. If you go right there is a very good turnaround on the left just before the traffic light. Safety first. We would stay again. - FT Travelers3

Park has great location, and is reasonably quiet. The Wifi was not great. We used this as a base for visiting friends in Boston and southern NH. - novastorm
Oct 2017 - $48.00
We have stayed at this campground before and were happy to reserve here again while visiting family in the Boston area. Sites are located under very tall evergreen trees, and our site was fairly private with woods on one side. Some sites in the interior part of the park are less private. The dog park was appreciated! Managers are friendly and helpful, and all facilities were clean and in good order. There was some road noise during the night which is perhaps to be expected in an urban area. - kvdvirginia

Very helpful host; he helped us get into our site and gave us a lot of info about the local area. Nice laundry facilities (although no quarter machine) and a book exchange. The Famcamp is first come, first served (no reservations), but we had no problems in October. Plenty of spots available, even for our big 42.5' fifth. Easy to navigate to the park, as well as the interior roads. You have your choice spots with plenty of tall trees overhead, or in wide open areas. Excellent value in a great location. - RVerFamily

Nice park but nothing special. Good wifi. No cable and satellite is site dependent; was able to get with my portable by running wire across the street to open area. No reservations. - z32k12
Aug 2017 - $26.00
Nice location near Boston area. The campground is near the airport runway with mostly civilian aircraft traffic. The campgrounds has dated facilities but the staff are excellent. The local history is rich in sites and information about the American Revolution period. - boomerlee

This is an older park with lots of seasonal RV that aren't in the best of shape. Park opened in 1968. Entrance is gated with large bushes encroaching into the entrance lane. Just inches to spare on the gate arm and I hit the bush when entering through gate. 50 Amp service, leg 1 - 121v, leg 2 - 117v. Water pressure 52. Assigned a 'pull thru' right at the entrance gate with traffic going through the gate all night long. Actually it really should be a back in. VERY LOUD all four nights we were there. The trailer behind us did loud karotte every night until well passed 1 AM. Management does not enforce quiet time. Kids running around till after midnight. View from our site was the garbage dumpsters and old broken down RVs. I tried dumping our tanks and my dump hose blew off the sewer connection. Fortunately it was only the gray water. Informed office and within a few minutes someone was sent to pump out the campground holding tank. Overall a bad experience, too loud, to cramped and too busy. This is not the place to enjoy peace and quiet. - Rufas
Oct 2016 - $53.00
Old and worn out. Tight turn off main road which can be busy at times. Ruts in narrow asphalt entry gate so bad that the gate post leans in toward the road. Impossible to get a large class A past the gate without mirrors hitting the untrimmed bush on the right. Interior roads are paved, but in very rough shape. Many tight curves. Campground seems to be 3 sections. Upper entry hill area, pasture area, and lower woods. Only the pasture area is level. All other sites are unlevel, usually very very unlevel. Woods area is heavily wooded and dark. No satellite reception possible in any of those sites. So much tree debris on the ground that I'm amazed they haven't had a serious fire. One day they sent crew with leaf blowers to blow pine needles all around our toad and coach. They blew dust and pine needles all over both. When I asked them to stop they refused, but said they would use the blower on our vehicles after they were done. Very rude. They should have told me in advance and offered to let us move for a couple hours while they used leaf blowers on dirt all around. They charge an extra for 50amp service. Cable is about 30 channels of very poor quality analog channels only. We did pickup about as many digital HDTV broadcast channels on our antenna which was nice. Sewer hookup goes to a 200 gallon cistern at the full hookup sites. They didn't bother to tell us that and after a week our sewer overflowed when I was dumpin black tank. They sent a worker with a small honey wagon to pump out the cistern. I was told the camper before us must have had the same issue because "toilet paper was all around the sewer hookup." So I was standing in an open sewer. Yuk. Again, if they would have told me about the capacity BEFORE an issue occurred it would have been fine. During heavy rain several of the lower sites flooded (worst one was probably 5 inches deep). One plus is that the lower park is very quiet without road noise. - Bryanmsi

Wanted to get away for the weekend and tried this place! Roads are very narrow, Staff and office are not very friendly. Park is pretty clean just not a lot to do!! We stayed on a pull through because I was told park was full and there where plenty of sites open. The pull through sites are extremely tight if you plan on using your awning don't, there's no room and you're on the road. I would not recommend this campground.... Next time I'll stay at Walmart. - littlebratty16

Since this state campground is local for me, I was very pleasantly surprised how quiet and nice it was. There is a modern restroom with free showers and two older restrooms that were still clean. The campground sits on top of a hill from the swim area which can make it a hike for little campers. The swim area was a little muck on the bottom but my kids didn't mind. The pine trees offer good shade from the sun. There is also another state park nearby which honors the Pearl Hill camping pass for swimming. Willard Brook has a nicer swimming area but the water is a little colder. We stopped off at it on our way home. They also have camping but they only have one site that our travel trailer would fit on. We drove through it and the road through the campground is a little tight. We definitely would go back to Pearl Hill again and enjoyed our stay and it's really convenient in its location. - B. P. Donelan

This campground has large sites; however, restroom and laundry are treble and seldom functional. Employees act like watchdogs treat campers terrible. You can expect to go to the office every day to beg for icons to get through the gate to your camper if you're lucky enough to be going in when the office is open.Don't expect to be treated as a customer. Customers are treated more like bothersome beggars. - camper36687

I was the only one there and there is a reason. Run down, restroom a 10 minute walk away. Owners nice enough but not the brightest bulb on the tree. If you like solitude and a depressing atmosphere this is the place. They do have a lot of seasonals so a summer visit might be brighter. - burt

This park is very convenient to the Nashua, NH and Lowell, MA areas. It is a small park on a beautiful lake, and primarily caters to long term residents. The park offers few amenities, but the rates are very reasonable. Comcast cable and phone service is available on every site. The park is closely monitored by the owner via video cameras, and it is not unusual for the operators of the part to come out and meet incoming campers without being prompted. No pool, showers, or Wi-Fi is provided, but if you need a decently priced campground for a long term stay in this area, this park stands out. - tricotec

We were given a pull thru site that was so sloped we couldn't get level. Took us 25 minutes to avoid trees and rocks getting out of site. Clearance 6" at best. Do not try to take a big rig here. - Tembe

This is a rustic, adequate, quiet campground in a country setting that was perfect for a one-night stay while awaiting mechanical service. Camp hosts were most helpful and friendly in assisting us with a last minute reservation to address issue next day. It is a better fit for Class B & C campers. It is filled with seasonal guests in grass/gravel sites with a few sites available for transitory campers. Sites are grassy, not very level and some are very muddy due to recent rain. Full hook-up is available. There is a charge for WiFi. Nothing fancy here but lots a good will, friendliness, in a nice country setting. - Breezy2
Jun 2011 - $30.00
First site which had standing water in it and was muddy had no power from 15A outlet. Checked nearby one and it was also out. Third site had power so moved there. Were just spending the night and mosquitoes were around so didn't venture about. No Wi-Fi at site. Was told it was available on porch of office but didn’t want the long walk or to put up with bugs so did without. No idea why they gave us only 15A electric as I noted the registration book showed lots of openings with 30A. Measured voltage and got 114v. Lots of seasonal but also a number of abandoned sites. Just in front of our site was a site that looked like someone just hooked up and pulled out leaving a damaged deck, sewer hose, wood and cement blocks around the site. This was not the only “abandoned” site I observed. Would not stay here again if I could find a more reasonable campground local to Worcester. Street address is 90 Manchaug Road in West Sutton, MA 01590. - Tireman9

May 2013 - $60.00
My family and I stayed here for the first time and the last time over the past Memorial Day weekend. The management was not helpful at all. When we had a problem getting our trailer level upon arrival, we were told someone would be by to help, and not one worker showed up. We were also placed so close to a fellow camper that we felt we had no privacy at all; all of the RV's are packed in too close quarters. The roads are made of dirt, and trash is not picked up. We were also kept up at night because of rowdy night time noise; people playing music too loud and others being too loud outside their RV. Not one grounds keeper came over to ask people to quiet down. I have been camping for many years, and this is one campground I will never go back to. - cnms248

Kings is the perfect family camping experience because they are welcoming, helpful, and share years of their knowledge. They are clean, safe, and have a variety of activities for all ages all summer long. - Tracy2013
Sep 2010 - $50.00
We came here for Labor Day. It is mostly seasonal, and a small campground. When I saw how small and how many seasonals, about 99%, I thought we were in trouble. But I was wrong. The people were all very nice and helpful. The way the sites are set up you can be awning to awning with your friends. We had 3 trailers together and we were in a circle all together awning to awning. We loved it. They don't bother you about anything. They don't make you put your fire out at 11pm. They have a lot of activities going on. Talent contest, DJ, bingo, kids might be bored but the adults had plenty to do. The campsites and campground was very clean and the seasonal sites were kept up very nice. Beautiful lake. Paddle boat, and canoe rentals. The only thing is they offer WiFi but we couldn't get it, all the codes were taken up. They said the office where they get the codes from closed early because of the hurricane. We did get a lot of rain on Friday and winds on Saturday and Sunday. Overall we liked it so much that we booked it for next year. I only gave it a 6 because it was a small campground and no pool. The store is very limited too. We went to another campground down the road and used their store. Kings campground store didn't have propane cylinders, or holding tank chemicals? What camp store doesn't carry that stuff? We went to the Woodstock fair and other friends found hiking trails near by. - meister

Expensive for what you get, rude owners that just care about finding different ways to charge you for every little thing and sometimes double charge you when they "forget" you already paid. - Bert102
Oct 2015 - $35.00
Beautiful place to get away for $800/month. Local roads are "scenic", which means the 25mph speed limit is enforced by narrow, badly maintained roads. AT&T reception is two bars at best. No WiFi, cable costs extra, 10-15 channels with a good aerial, and plenty of hot water for $1 in the clean bath house. Air conditioning is superfluous except for a few nights in August-shady sites with cool breezes. Tight roads servicing the generous seasonal sites, easy assess to the "Field" for big rigs and weekenders. Management is friendly and helpful. - Ernest Station
Jul 2013 - $50.00
My family and I spent a week at this campground and had such a wonderful time. Camping has become a summer hobby of ours and we were delighted to find a place that finally met the criteria we were looking for. The grounds were clean, the lake was beautiful, and there was no loud night time noise to keep my two children awake- something that I have run into problems with during stays at other parks. The management was very helpful, and even delivered firewood to our campsite for us. My husband and I enjoyed a live band around a bonfire right by the lake - very relaxing, and my two children really liked the movie night offered as well as tie dye your shirt day. We brought along our dog, and even though there is a no pet walking policy, there was a private road adjacent to the park where we were able to walk him every morning. If you are looking for an enjoyable real camping experience, this is the place to be. - cnms248
