Stayed at October Mountain for 2 nights. It's very convenient to Lenox, MA. Nicely maintained small campground; however, it is oddly situated on the side of hill across the street from an electric power transfer station. It appears most sites are for tents, only a few would accommodate RVs or trailers. Bathroom was very clean and shower stall was bigger than anticipated. We camped at October Mountain State Forest in a Motorhome.

Rated this park a 8 due to the lack of facilities. This is a dry campground and the site placement is better suited for tents. Very friendly staff. Good for overnight stays. Roads to this location are a little rough. We camped at October Mountain State Forest in a Travel Trailer.

Stopped here on an overnight on our way from Rochester to Maine. Park was clean and manager was friendly. Very quiet park but it does have a hum from the transfer station nearby. Only about 8 minutes off I-90. Not much to do but relax there but it was a quiet place to overnight. We camped at October Mountain State Forest in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely campground with 23 RV sites with tables and steel fireplaces arranged around a bath / shower building. Generous site size. No hookups: if you want hookups and conveniences go somewhere else. It's ten minutes off Mass Pike at 317 Woodland Road in Lee, MA. There are signs in Lee pointing the way. Open mid-May through mid-October. We camped at October Mountain State Forest in a Fifth Wheel.

This is Massachusetts largest state park with 16,127 acres. The campground is small and the sites are close together. There are three levels with RV at the bottom with a bathroom, the tent sites are on the next level with a bathroom, and the three yurts are on the top level with a little bit of a walk to the bathroom. The park was very clean as it just opened up for the season. The bathrooms were also very clean. The showers (one in each bathroom for each sex) were free. The assistant at the check-in station was very pleasant and nice. He told us that the park gets busy with Tanglewood (summer home of the Boston Pops) near by. My wife loved the town of Lee and everyone was very nice. The kids had a great time riding their bikes around the campground and going on hikes. Other than that there really wasn't much to do at the campground. The one thing that I can confirm about other reviews is that there is a constant hum from a power transfer substation across the street from the campground. We didn't find it that annoying. We camped at October Mountain State Forest in a Travel Trailer.
