Town-owned campground and nearby lake are most acceptable, terrific pavilion, fishing and non-motorized boating, right in historic North Adams. Do not let your GPS take you up Mt Everest approach. Come in Route 2 to East Main St and left onto Kemp. Very friendly staff, good security. Can get very busy, suggest reservations. Appalachian Trail and other hiking nearby. Close to beautiful Williamstown and terrific art galleries. Our rate was with a rally. Temporary power problem required some caution: should be fixed soon. We would stay again. This is a nice hidden campground. Be sure and get specific arrival directions from office because access roads to the park from town can cause problems for larger rigs. Woods and the few lakeside spots make the place enjoyable. There are many permanents here on the back half of the campground but they do not detract from ambiance if you don't go over there. There are many nearby attractions. We camped at Historic Valley Campground in a Motorhome.Undo
