Was here for a T@B rally 9/24-27. Campground run by city of N. Adams. Some sites power was at a distance and needed a long cord to plug in. Site 1&2 are small tent sites @$25 a night. Other sites $35-40. Campground host was very friendly. We camped at Historic Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park is long in the tooth and in need of a serious upgrade. At my first assigned site, I couldn't find the electrical outlet. Finally, it showed up, about 75 feet from my site. Electrical panels were shared by two sites, so only one got 30 amp service and the other 20 amp. Sites consisted of white coarse sand and gravel that stuck to everything. To get into the park after 4:30 pm, you had to put down a deposit for a tab to get in, even though the entrance gate had the capability of accepting keyed in numbers. Finally, using a credit card involved a $2.50 fee for the privilege. The campground is on the side of a steep hill (like much of the area). Staff was nice and helpful, but nothing can overcome the deep need for an overhaul. If there were no other campground in the area, we'd stay here again, otherwise probably not. We camped at Historic Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Town-owned campground and nearby lake are most acceptable, terrific pavilion, fishing and non-motorized boating, right in historic North Adams. Do not let your GPS take you up Mt Everest approach. Come in Route 2 to East Main St and left onto Kemp. Very friendly staff, good security. Can get very busy, suggest reservations. Appalachian Trail and other hiking nearby. Close to beautiful Williamstown and terrific art galleries. Our rate was with a rally. Temporary power problem required some caution: should be fixed soon. We would stay again. We camped at Historic Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a nice hidden campground. Be sure and get specific arrival directions from office because access roads to the park from town can cause problems for larger rigs. Woods and the few lakeside spots make the place enjoyable. There are many permanents here on the back half of the campground but they do not detract from ambiance if you don't go over there. There are many nearby attractions. We camped at Historic Valley Campground in a Motorhome.
