This is a great campground on lake Dean. Great activities for kids. Very dog friendly. Great clean lake. Clean modular bathrooms and showers. The only reason you wouldn't like this place is if you don't like lots of kids having a good time. We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Great campground if you have kids although many of the seasonal folks seem to be retired. We used one of the transient sites, which were roughly half the park. Very nicely kept sites, the kids had a ball. Nice pool and lake, decent fishing. We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed for a weekend with our 2 grandaughters and 2 of their friends. Arrived and check in was completed at the gate, we never had to leave the MH. We were given a golf cart escort without asking, who took what appeared to be the 'long' way to the site, but actually took us the way that put us in the best position to back in. Staff and other campers were very friendly. It was a relaxed feeling right from the beginning. We were there for 'science' weekend, which was great for the kids (6,6,8 & 9). They created volcano's, made play doh, made slime and made some jars with paint & glitter. There was no charge for any of the experiments - which was great. They also each made a friend at the 'stuff a bear' event, which was an extra charge. I have to say that the staff - which included several young kids - was outstanding. They were very polite, paid a lot of attention to each of the kids, and were patient with even the youngest kids. I would absolutely go back to this campground. We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This was our first time staying here and we were very happy with the campground. Lots of things for adults and kids to do. One of the biggest things that impressed us, was that they asked for you to use a certain kind of dog leash. So, instead of asking you to purchase one, they just gave them out for free. Took care of a problem in their eyes and didn't ask anything of the campers other then to use it. We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Pine Acres is a beautiful campground. It's very clean and the sites are wooded and certainly big enough for our 36 ft with slides. They always ask to make sure they give you a large enough site. The roads are all paved and great for bike riding. They have a great store and snack bar. They also have many activities for everyone to enjoy. Don't hesitate to stay there Spring, Summer or Fall. This park is excellent for families. We had our grandchildren visit us and there was plenty to keep them all busy (ages 3 to 11). The sites are all placed to give you maximum privacy. They are mostly wooded and tight to get parked but still enough space around the camper to be comfortable. The pool is great for kids but kind of small for adults and they could use some umbrellas because there is full sun most of the day. The WiFi was really not much use. We had lots of trouble getting on and if you could get on you were limited to 1 free hour per day. You had to pay for any additional time. Over all we loved the campground and would come back in the future. We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is not near any major roads and it takes awhile to get to it with many turns, low trees and narrow roads. At the entrance gate we were handed a packet of information and a map - no escort to our site but it was fairly easy to find. It was up on a mound so leveling was a bit difficult and it was about 4 ft higher than the road on either end - very close to trees but we were able to get our 3 slides out although into tree branches on one side. This is basically a family resort-style camp with lots of things for kids and families. We did enjoy the hot tub and the adults only swim time between 7-9 p.m. There are a LOT of unsupervised kids on bikes; on at least two occasions we had to stop on the way out while some kid got his remote controlled car off the road. It is advertised as having wifi and we asked when we booked how it was and were told it was good. We were NOT told you had to pay for it and it is the infamously horrible TENGO. We ended up using our AT&T hot spot. Most annoying is the location of the trash bins - on the map it shows dumpsters at the entrance/exit so we put our trash bag on the back of the truck cover on our way out - no dumpster in sight. So we put the trash inside for our brief trip into town. On our return we showed the gate keeper the map and asked where the dumpster was at the location on the map. He said "we moved it." He was very sarcastic when we said they should note that on the maps. The only dumpsters were near the dog park surrounded by mud and overflowing. Several people, not wanting to walk through mud, had just left the trash nearby. Had we not been driving this would have been a very long walk and we were closer than many campsites. Quiet time is between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. but we were woken up around 7 a.m. with the park maintenance tractors and golf carts around our site, which was near the clubhouse - perhaps a site not so near a central social area would have been quieter. We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here for Mother's Day. The campground was clean and friendly with many amenities for young and old. Has a very warm and welcoming lake as well as water park with hot tub for adults. The sites are decent in size and if you can reserve the premium sites, you certainly get what you pay for. In years past, we used to get the morning paper delivered with this site but not anymore :( . The campground is a family owned business and has that feel throughout. It's a little pricey but...I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. You can pay less as nearby campgrounds but you will not have the service, amenities, cleanliness and feel. Look for deals as they will favor Spring and Fall stays for discounted price. Site was tight for a 34 foot travel trailer but they have other sites with PLENTY of room. We have stayed here several times. We really enjoy this campground. The lake/pond is nice. The sandy beach is clean. The pool is small, but nice. It was pretty warm over Memorial Day weekend. The adult hot tub is nice. They have a kiddie water park as well. They have a lot of activities for the kids. They added a new jump pad that the kids loved. Last year I complained that they were going overboard with being too strict. This time it appeared that they have let up a little. That is a good thing. They enforce quiet hours. We had a wooded site. It was not completely level. We had to work on leveling the camper. All in all, this is a great family park! It you are looking for a party zone or a super quiet place, this may not be for you. But in my opinion, they do a great job of balancing this campground so the adults can have fun along with the children. A+ We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very family-oriented campground with many activities for kids. It is also very woodsy, so we could not get satellite reception. It is in a very rural area so it's very quite but requires several miles to get to services. Big rigs will need to use caution on the narrow roads and take care of boulders placed to mark the road. We went for the Halloween weekend in October. The weather was not great - but we had a good time. They had several events for the kids on Saturday. They had a scavenger hunt, pumpkin decorating, other games, campsite decorating contests and trick or treating. They also had a professional storyteller come in and he told ghost stories by the campfire. He was VERY good. We did not swim in the lake and the pool was closed. But there were kids swimming in the lake. It was a laid back and fun time for the family. The campground was roughly half full. It was also very quiet at night. We love this campground and we will come back. It is expensive and it seemed liked they have loosened up the strict rules just a little. If you are not familiar with this area, you are out in the middle of nowhere.. you are a good twenty minutes from any stores. So be prepared for that.. Very woodsy. The showers were not very good. Lukewarm water at best. I asked the staff to turn up the temperature of the water and they said they couldn't because they use a mixing valve so the temperature is at 1012 degrees. I'm a maintenance man and they could of turned it up but I think they didn't want to waste the gas. The water had no hot and cold valves. So they controlled the water pressure and temperature. They did have cable so that helped because it is very woody with lots of trees. I would not stay there again. We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Rating is based on rate versus what you get. We stayed here during the week in Sept and the pool/store/etc all closed until Friday, yet you still pay a high rate per day. It is a very well kept campground, though and we did not notice excessive rules enforcement. We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Yikes! This place costs more than Disney! It’s out in the middle of nowhere and you have to drive forever to even get to a grocery store. While the setting is nice the sites are scattered all over, one is in the middle of a small island area formed where three roads come together – constant traffic all around. Almost every activity is pay extra. Base rates is only for two adults, then you add $7.50 per night for each child over 4 years, $15 per night for each extra adult, $5.00 extra PER pet PER day, visitors $10 extra per person per day. The pool and children’s splash area is nice but they are not heated and way too small for the amount of campers. You cannot enter the pool unless you are a registered camper and they have a list of sites and names that they check against upon entry and give you a colored wristband good for that day only. Excessive rules and employees continuously patrolling on golf carts to make sure there is no infraction of the rules. Children are everywhere on bikes and not supervised by parents. Children riding bikes without a helmet get their bikes confiscated and not given back. Resort employee claimed Massachusetts law says they cannot give bikes back and that confiscated bikes are given to needy children’s organizations. The beach area only open 10am to 6 pm?? Pool opens/closes at whim of management. Quiet hours 11 pm to 8 am, fires out at midnight and patrols make sure you are not even outside whispering after 11 pm. It is very dark at night, no lights except in parking area by lodge. No satellite coverage due to heavily treed area and cable had few stations and was very poor quality. Wi-Fi provided by Tengo Internet and was supposed to get 1 hour free each day. First day got Wi-Fi for 15 minutes and then could not connect without paying extra. Power fluctuated greatly between 102 volts to 116 volts during each day. Power into resort from local utility was low and had excessive voltage drops from resort's distribution transformer to individual sites. Owner claimed Mass Power only required to supply 110 volts and there was nothing he could do. Then owner tried to blame low voltage problem on our RV because our power management system shut down power to it when voltage dropped below 103 volts to protect our equipment. Rude owner told to us to use our own propane to run refrigerator and hot water heater to offset low voltage issue. Can’t understand why we should have to use our own propane and cost us even more when we are paying such exorbitant price for the “resort” to supply proper power?? The last straw was when numerous cars were broken into over the Labor Day weekend and GPS’ and other valuables stolen. Never returning to this place again! We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice campground, not far from home. Quiet time was early in my opinion and strictly enforced. Lots of mosquitoes, not sure they spray. My site, 111, was huge and close enough to everything, but not too close. Loved it. The trash bins are located clear to the front of the park, so it was a bit of a walk. I think they should provide more centrally located bins in the campground as well, but when I mentioned this, I was told they didn't want to have animals in the park. Seems to me the trash was on everyone's site anyway. I did see an employee picking up trash on occasion, but there didn't seem to be any set schedule for this, so if you wanted to not have trash on your site overnight, you needed to take it to the bins. Overall it was a decent campground and I will return. We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
