Stayed here. Were assigned a pull thru site #2. Girl at the desk gave directions which pointed us in the wrong direction for the site. No big deal (sounded new). Electrical hookup is at the front of your rig and sewer hookup is at the rear so with my set up I was being pulled in two directions( have either an extension cord or extra hose). Very busy campground. Water at the lake was amazingly clear and was a walk through the woods. I did not feel comfortable just letting my son ride his bike around because the park is so big. I do not think I will return here because of cost, site layout and just not my kind of park. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Check in was pleasant, and a lot of local information on restaurants, etc., available on bulletin board. Sites are large enough for 36' plus tow. All grass/sand sites. Cable was not working and called 2 days in a row, both times they said they would sent someone out, and didn't. Unable to use satellite, due to tree cover. Very limited over the air stations. A lot of seasonal campers. Everyone was pleasant enough. Very muddy and a lot of puddles in road and campsite after rain. Some tight turns, but doable. No issues with utilities. Would stay again, if we could get a satellite signal. Wifi was useless. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Motorhome.

Site was large enough for trailer and truck with adequate room for picnic table and fire pit. Road gravel. Site dirt and grass. WiFi weak. Verizon weak. Close to Cape Cod activities. Would stay again. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for two weeks leading up to Memorial Weekend, so we had it nice and quiet. VERY quiet at night until about 5:30a when tons of birds started their dawn chorus, which we liked. Wild turkeys, frogs, dense woods all around the area, plenty of nature. Great location for exploring surrounding area - Plymouth, The Vineyard, Hyannis, the canal. Our site wasn't very level, but that might not be the case for all of them. Sandy site and sand gets everywhere! It seems there are more seasonal and repeat campers than transients, they even had a "Seasonals Pot Luck". Approach roads are winding and rolling with not much shoulder, but doable. Interior roads had a lot of pot holes, but wide and no trees overhanging and scraping. Some sections have large shade trees, we were in a more open area with some evergreens between campsites. We had a back in site with lots of space between our side neighbors, but if we walked around the back of our RV we were at our (seasonal) neighbors grill. Our Verizon mifi and T-Mobile were weak, Verizon cell worked fine. Level of friendliness in the front office depends on who's working that day. Based on the location we would stay here again. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Motorhome.

We really liked this park. Since we went late in the season, it was not crowded or noisy. It was great having the local General Store right at the entrance of the park. The laundry room is tiny, with only a couple of machines and no air conditioning. The pull-through sites were level and well spaced. There was a nice playground for kids. The roads to get to the park are very winding, but manageable for big rigs. We would stay here again. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground was clean and plenty of room to get into your site. Bourne Road is not the best getting to the campground, but slow and easy makes the day. The hookups; electric, cable and water is almost at the front of the site which barely worked with my 50 amp service cable. Could have used an extension. Would stay again if in the area as it is close to Cade Cod area. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Motorhome.

Campground has potential, but I think owners prefer to pocket money instead of upgrading. Some sites look as though the campers are running kennels with sites allowed to have as many as 6 dogs. Most sites have at least 2 or more dogs. Very noisy! I get the impression that any complaints would fall on deaf ears of owners. Most dog owners don't even pick up after their dogs! Have noticed some seasonal sites don't keep dogs on leash. Sites are extremely close with streets being all dirt. This creates for a very dusty environment, since most campers don't follow the speed limit. Only plus I see is location. Campground sits very close to Cape Cod and beaches. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall, this was not a great place to stay. There are a lot of seasonal campers and it seemed more like a trailer park than campground. Most of the residents were clean, but there were a few that did not take care of their area. The bathrooms were not clean, and you had to pay for your shower. They had decent amenities for kids with basketball, a pond to swim in, horseshoes, playground, and much more. They also had movie nights and games during the day for kids. It is a long ways away from both Boston and the Cape. I would recommend staying closer to one or the other, as the commute was long and you run into traffic. The seasonal campers were really strict on the 5mph speed limit, and frequently tell you to slow down, even if you are going 6mph. It was a quiet campground and the lots were bigger than average with a yard. Getting in and out was very easy. Wi-fi is weak and frequently dropped out. They have a convenience store right on the premises that had a great selection of almost anything you need, and made delicious breakfast sandwiches on a daily basis. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure you visit Plymouth while here. If you plan to go to Boston I would suggest taking the train in. We could not find parking very easily for a big truck and it took us over 3 hours to find a spot that wasn't in a parking garage where we were always over the max height.

$10 per day "second pet fee" causes this campground to fall in the "overpriced" category. Massachusetts law requires rabies vaccination be shown at check-in. Low hanging branches alongside interior roads scratch sides of rig on curves. 10% Good Sam discount to everyone without proof of club membership. Unimpressive campground with plenty of potential with a few improvements. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Motorhome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay here. It is well run, friendly staff and our site (F2) was big for a pull thru with full hookup. Our towed vechicle battery went dead and they came over to help us with a jump start. Centrally located so we visited Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard & Newport RI Mansions. We would definitely recommend staying here. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Motorhome.

The road leading to this park is narrow, winding with low hanging branches, so take it slow. There are also some ruts and potholes that you may want to steer around. We drove our 40ft class A with toad down this road and by being careful we had no problem with it. The park has well maintained hard packed gravel streets with grass sites that will require some tight turns to get to them. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring and was bordered with shrubs or trees. The 50 amp full hook-up pull-through sites had no overhanging trees to block your satellite dish. Sprint 3G phone and WI-FI hot spot worked well. Bathrooms were old, in need of a remodel and not very clean. There were three dumpsters right next to the horseshoe pits that did smell. There is a swimming area at Sandy Pond that can be accessed by a short hiking trail. The water is clear and cool. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a quiet park with no road noise. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over Memorial Day Holiday and will definitely come back. We parked the camper and truck on a nice level shaded site and didn't move the truck once. General store on the property had everything we needed and the prices were reasonable. I think that's because they also serve the locals. Great selection of food and deli items as well as beer and wine. The park was clean and the staff friendly. They had just put in cable TV and we couldn't get it to work, when we called the front office someone was there in 15 minutes and tightened a loose connection and it was up and running. Showers were spacious and clean, cost .25 but enough room to shave my legs! Kids were kept busy with activities. Dance Saturday night was loud, shut down at 10:00 pm sharp. The pond was crystal clear and husband enjoyed the fishing and kids the swimming. Can't wait for our next trip! We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Travel Trailer.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. There are far nicer places to camp on the Cape. The park has potential, but the ownership/management clearly doesn't want to expend the effort or cash to bring this place up to even "good" standards. They must have spent all their money on the new General Store (which is open to the public and serves as the local liquor store), and their nice front office. The bathrooms are FILTH; the showers are old and decrepit (and you pay for the privilege of using them), people trash the bathrooms every night, and it goes on because of the minimal security. If you're in a self-contained RV, the above might not bother you, but it says something about the lack of concern by management for their customers' health and comfort. The RV section of the park is so crowded, you can't breathe without the family next door hearing you. Save yourself the expense and disappointment and go somewhere else. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Tent Trailer.

We stayed here over the Memorial Day holiday. It was very busy with constant foot and vehicle traffic even past dusk. They charge you for EVERYTHING here. Guests must register and pay. There is only one bathroom facility for the whole park. $0.25 for each 10 minute shower in sub par degraded facilities, that were only spot cleaned once a day. There were spiders, webs, roaches and frogs and all kinds of critters in the showers at night. Many sites were not mowed or trees trimmed very well and there are several seasonal camp sites that were in ill upkeep. Our site was on a corner with trees scattered around it making proper trailer placement very difficult to be able to reach electric and sewer services, much less open our awning. It is obvious that the staff is either overwhelmed or not managed properly. We felt unimpressed, uncomfortable, unwelcomed and just another tourist to nickel and dime. We camped at Sandy Pond Campground in a Travel Trailer.
