We had a great Father's Day weekend here at this campground. My youngest son loved trying to catch the frogs and tad poles at the pond. Water was a little cool, but it has been pretty rainy. Bathroom was clean, and showers had plenty of hot water. There is a dish washing station that makes dry camping much better. We will go back again. - B. P. Donelan
Jun 2010 - $12.00
The site that we had was awesome. It was right near the bathroom and still was very private. We all enjoyed the swimming in the small pond. My children also liked the parking lot for the restroom for riding scooters and skateboards around. The icecream man drove through the campground so we were able to get a special treat. I would like to go camping here again and maybe try renting one of the yurts. - B. P. Donelan
Jul 2005 - $15.00
The only reason I didn't give it a "10" is because it's not an "RV" park. This place is a little gem hidden away in north-central Mass. The sites are well-shaded but don't allow room for more than about 20' of trailer. It's a great place for popups, tents or small (<20') rigs. The staff is very friendly and the nature interpreter does an outstanding job with her programs. The campground was very quiet on weeknights and still quiet on weekends. We'll definitely be back in our small hybrid. - rudeman

The campground was crowded, but it didn't feel like it. We camped over part of Memorial Day. Because of the holiday we weren't able to get it for the whole weekend - only Sunday and Monday nights. However, as most people left on Monday we were able to move to a location with a view of the lake. There are no hookups, only dry camping. They do have an $8 handling fee. The setting is peaceful and the sites are spacious. There is some noise from traffic, but it's not overwhelming. - RonMill

We've been coming back and forth here for years. These are large sites with many right on the water. We love to come back year after year. - Campers for Life

Another year, another review. We just love going camping here and the kids had a great time. My younger brother also loved this state park with canoeing, bike riding, and the trails. We always look forward to going again next year. We will definitely be back. - B. P. Donelan

Since this state campground is local for me, I was very pleasantly surprised how quiet and nice it was. There is a modern restroom with free showers and two older restrooms that were still clean. The campground sits on top of a hill from the swim area which can make it a hike for little campers. The swim area was a little muck on the bottom but my kids didn't mind. The pine trees offer good shade from the sun. There is also another state park nearby which honors the Pearl Hill camping pass for swimming. Willard Brook has a nicer swimming area but the water is a little colder. We stopped off at it on our way home. They also have camping but they only have one site that our travel trailer would fit on. We drove through it and the road through the campground is a little tight. We definitely would go back to Pearl Hill again and enjoyed our stay and it's really convenient in its location. - B. P. Donelan

This is an older park with very sharp turns and low hanging branches. The hook ups at our site were difficult to access, not centrally located and need to use extra hose. We feel this park was too expensive. the owner was on site and very helpful, probably the highlight of the park. - Al and Anne-Marie
Aug 2016 - $32.00
Very sandy site - tough to level rig. Our site was right across from playground for the kids - very noisy during the day. Bathrooms have a weird latch system to turn on the lights. Didn't use the shower. Park looked a little "tired". Interior roads were extremely uneven and full of ruts.
We stayed 3 nights so we could visit Boston, in August, in the heat! Phew!
Nothing really wrong with the park but I think I would look elsewhere next time.
Staff pleasant and helpful. - DCM/JMB

Stayed 5 days had a great time. Not a corporate cookie cutter campground. Very homey, you felt like you belonged almost a part of the family. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again.

Definitely a seasonal camper park. Pool was clean, bathrooms clean, but obvious most folks are here all the time and they like to police the "short-timers." Take our advice and get the tokens to get in and out of the campground as no one is usually around to assist with the gate. Camp store is barely stocked with anything. It is very close to Erving State park. No cell service. 20 minutes to the nearest store or anything. Glad we only stayed here one night. - mskalar
Jun 2008 - $34.00
This campground is in the rebuilding stages as the current owners has owned it for a year and a half. Talking with some of the seasonals, the owners are making it a much nicer place than what it was. There were a lot of kids for my kids to play with. The playground was easily viewable from our site so that we could keep an eye on them. It was a slow weekend and we got one of their best sites (#S10). The pool was nice and there are strict rules on it's use. Tent sites looked nice under the pine trees. I would go here again. - B. P. This was our maiden voyage with a travel trailer that we just got brand new. Everything should have gone fine. We hook up on a Friday night with kids and dogs in tow, and no electricity (us, not the site). After my husband went round and round checking things and I made every phone call I could think to make we almost thought about going home. The gentleman at the desk up front came down when he heard we were having trouble. He went through it all again with my husband and about 20 min later we had power!!! Turned out there was faulty wiring inside the trailer. Amazingly nice people here. - Wristonwheeler
Oct 2016 - $29.00
This is a huge family owned RV park that is at least 90% seasonal. If you are a short time stay, you will be in the center section of the area referred to as "Safari Field." The center section is for us and the outsides are seasonal campers. No so unusual for this area of the country.
The access was paved and or gravel. The back-in sites in Safari Field are very spacious from side-to-side with full hookup and cable TV. This is an open with grass and gravel sites and some nicely spaced trees. You won't have a problem with using your satellite. We were going to hook up to cable but found our connection to be quite corroded and didn't bother trying to get it repaired.
We arrived on the day the park officially closed for the season and they allowed us to stay for a full week. We filled up the tanks with water just in case we had a freeze.
The park is old but beautiful if you like nature, trees, birds, etc. Nice and quiet while we were here. The fall colors were fantastic. - Moe and Flo are on the go
Jul 2016 - $43.00
Very friendly staff. We stayed here 2 weeks, so the rate reflects the weekly rate. This campground is mostly seasonal campers, but it is in great condition. Sites were level, utilities worked well, satellite coverage was good (although they have cable at each site too), WIFI worked pretty good. They had LOTS of activities for kids and adults. We were here over the 4th of July and it was packed. They have about 250 total sites, but probably about 50 are for "transients". My complaints here would be the dirt/gravel roads put out a lot of dust to the point we weren't able to sit outside sometimes. Also close to a highway and you could here the traffic from that (not real bad but very noticeable). Overall it was a great experience here. The weekends were very busy and the weekdays were quiet. We would stay here again. Lots of little towns close by. - jacknpeg

This campground has large sites; however, restroom and laundry are treble and seldom functional. Employees act like watchdogs treat campers terrible. You can expect to go to the office every day to beg for icons to get through the gate to your camper if you're lucky enough to be going in when the office is open.Don't expect to be treated as a customer. Customers are treated more like bothersome beggars. - camper36687

I was the only one there and there is a reason. Run down, restroom a 10 minute walk away. Owners nice enough but not the brightest bulb on the tree. If you like solitude and a depressing atmosphere this is the place. They do have a lot of seasonals so a summer visit might be brighter. - burt

This was the first time we have stayed at Woodmore. The website gives you the idea that they are strict, and very rule oriented. While I understand there have to be rules, I don't care for very strict parks. Rather, we should all govern ourselves respectfully without having the management getting involved. That being said, we had no issues with this park at all! The staff was great, we met both of the owners (Husband & Wife, great folks). They were curious and friendly. They do adhere strictly to the site occupant limits, and we had to rent a second site to accommodate the one adult (5th adult) that we were over the limit by. The site we had was at the end of the "T" section. They seem to section off the seasonal from the traditional campers (good idea IMO). The sites varied greatly in terms of size. Some sites were quite small, but ours was a perfect size for our HTT. The amenities were all in great condition, and well maintained! The Bocci court was the best we've seen in 2 Summers, we played for hours!! They have paddle/row boats & cohoes for rent. We rented 3 boats and all went for a nice paddle around the lake, let the kiddos explore the tiny island right offshore (told them it was a treasure island, we couldn't wipe the smile off their faces!!). The bathrooms & showers were nice & clean. Showers are extra large & roomy. My wife had an issue with the hot water in the showers on the first morning. We spoke to the owners and they PROMPTLY resolved the issue. This was a great CG. Family oriented, friendly ownership & staff, great facilities & amenities. We will be back in 2015 for sure!! As a note: I only gave them an 8 for a couple of reasons. 1)The majority of the sites were quite small. When we return, it will be contingent on getting the same site we did this time. There were no other sites that appealed to us (too small, not enough separation etc.). 2)The firewood they sell was all pine. It was a nice service, and the price was good ($7 for a barrel of it, and they bring it right to your site). But it wasn't difficult to go through 3+ buckets a day for a decent fire (we like having nice fires). - BigNuge
Jun 2012 - $42.00
Came for a weekend to get away, but would not stay here again. On the plus side, might fit you if you have a lot kids and a smaller rig. On the negative, nothing is paved (roads or campsites) so whenever it rains the place is a mud pool. Sites are generally smaller and packed together with lots of trees. No Wi-Fi. Very noisy on Saturday as they had open air karaoke with the sound system so loud that my RV shook. - snolan
Jul 2011 - $42.00
Nice layout with good size sites. We stayed at 17 which was a pull through and plenty of room (Premium site) and level. Best sites I like are 16,17,18,19,20 as these are near the pool and activity. Owner came as we checked in to see if we needed anything or if we needed a hand; never ran into that before and it made a hit with us right away. Wi-fi is only around the office and not in the campground; otherwise, I would have given it a 10 rating. They clean everyday around pool and grounds. The owner is working the grounds and there if you need anything. We enjoyed it and will be going back Columbus Day weekend. Labor day was full, but I may call later again. Water pressure was normal, good cable, and kids were enjoying playground and pool. 3-4 PM is adult time and kids need to leave pool area. Easy in and easy out. Great bass fishing. People were very friendly and store had most of the things you need if you run out. Big stores are about 2 miles away. We will be going back a couple times a season as it's close to home. - harleyy87

Overall our stay was good. The staff was friendly and stopped to talk to us regularly. As others have mentioned the site we had was roomy. In my opinion, big rigs (40+ feet) might have an issue negotiating the interior roads. The free Wi-Fi was best in the early morning hours (but not great), once the campground filled up, internet access was limited most of the time, and sometimes not useable. The cable TV was very poor, luckily our satellite connection was good. Prior to staying at this campground, we never had an issue with our Surge Guard, but one phase at this campground was constantly reading 130 vac and occasionally it would trip. Now that we've moved to another state and campground, we're not having any issues with it tripping. - gMw

A great, quiet RV park, good sized sites. Too may trees for satellite TV. Wifi was really not working when we were there. We would stay here again if we are in the area. - John and Carol
May 2017 - $45.00
Stayed here for a weekend while visiting friends in Nashua. Quite a few of the sites are seasonal/permanent campers, but all are well maintained. Our site was roomy for an older campground. W/S/E were all in excellent condition and did not require any extra hoses or cable. Sewer pipe was a bit high. Asphalt surface was a little beat up, but level, solid, and easy to back into. There was no designated dog walk, rather several "don't walk your dog here" areas. Very nice stream and pond, and plenty of trees around the outside. The free Wi-Fi was excellent. Great coverage, strong signal, and I never experienced it slowing down. $45 per night is the going rate in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay here again. - BounderPounder

This is not a resort. Very run down after you pass the asphalt road in it turns int hilly gravel and dirt roads that are terrible in the rain. The site we were allocated was occupied and the alternative could just barely fit. sewer was uphill and difficult to use. No tv service and no wifi available. - flexitdriver

This is NOT a resort.
I understand why this park hasn't had reviews in 4 years. It is mostly permanents and seasonals. Out of all the well over 100 sites in the park, we only saw a handfull that looked to be vacationers.
Their website is grossly misleading. The entrance to the park is nicely paved and gives you an inviting feel. That is where it ends. Once you get to the gate, it is apparent that this place is not a 'resort'. The roads to the sites are gravel narrow and hilly.
As we arrived to our site, we were greeted with the neighbor playing very loud music outside as they stood around shirtless (men) at their PERMANENT outside bar! The overweight, hairy, old guy with no shirt is obviously the dress code here.
The 'game room' is very worn. The heavily stained carpet looks 20+ years old.
The pool is very overcrowded on the weekends because they allow locals to pay for use.
The golf course, oh my. Their website shows lush greens with well dressed golfers. It was nothing but yellow grass, not much bigger than a putt-putt course, and we only saw one group of players and yep, again, shirtless guys in flip flops.
This campground sort of served our purpose as we weren't looking for a vacation destination. But we chose it, even though it was far from our event, thinking it would be a safer choice when we left our MH overnight. That was not the case.
On the plus side, the quiet time is obviously strictly enforced. Even though many are partying all day, it is quiet at night and getting sleep wasn't an issue. During the week many permanents work and they aren't there.
If you are looking for an upscale vacation destination, this is not the place. Let me reiterate, resort is not what this place is. - Steve Hedge
Jul 2016 - $22.00
The place is run down. None of the activities listed were operating because of shortage on employees. Full size pool was closed. Had a children's pool open. All outdoor games had equipment missing, therefore nothing to do. I pre-paid for 7 nights at trade show. I was told I could use these days anytime including holidays. Tried to book my last 2 nights on Labor Day: was told I would have to buy an additional night because it's a 3 night minimum stay. At the trade show I was specially told there was no restrictions or black out dates. I could split the days up as many times as I wanted. Obviously it's their way of making extra money. I will never ever stay, or recommend this place!
It's too bad they have to be so low because it's not only me they lost as customers, but all my camping friends as well. - Lmhersko
