Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $27.00
The park is largely shaded and the MI DNR website accurately described the site we reserved. The restrooms are older but in good condition. There are beach volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, a nature trail and a sandy beach. The park was largely camped by locals from the NW Michigan area. On the week of July 4th, it was only 2/3 full. Plan on an extension cord as the hookups are in the rear of the sites. For getting away from the city, this park is a good choice. We camped at Clear Lake State Park in a Truck Camper.Undo

The park had a nice bike trail, and the beach was clean. The restrooms were very nice, clean with ventalation fans. Not much to do in the area. Nice place to get away from it all. We camped at Clear Lake State Park in a Tent Trailer.Undo
We were there in June of this year and really enjoyed our stay. The hiking/biking trails were nice with a beautiful open area back in the woods where animals would come out to graze. It had a backdrop of tree "mountains" with the sunset behind it. It gives you the feeling of pioneer days. The lake is spring-fed, so the water is very clear and clean. There is a loon that lives on the lake that is beautiful to hear its call. The one restroom had been recently remodeled and very beautifully with cedar and nice tiles. The other restroom hadn't been redone as of our stay. There was no useful playground equipment for kids. What they did have was archaic and unsafe--a rusty, metal merry-go-round that couldn't be pushed unless you were Arnold Schwarzenegger, an old metal slide, etc., and overgrown grass. But the nature scenery couldn't be beat. Very private and unpopulated beaches, nice bike trails and nature programs for the kids. We camped at Clear Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo
One of our favorites, as the location is beautiful. Basically, out in the middle of nowhere. It's wonderful to be in a place where your cell phone doesn't work. The lake is almost the color of the oceans around a carribean island. We camped at Clear Lake State Park in a camper.Undo
