Easy access next to US41. Some noise from the highway and railroad line immediately behind the park, but it didn't bother us. Interior roads are paved. Sites are grass. Some sites very shady, but the site we stayed on had a few trees. Sat TV was no problem at our site and Verizon Wireless had full bars service. About half of the RV sites have 30 amp electric. You may need an extension cord to reach the pedestal. Water is available at only a few places in the park. Good central sewer dump location. Keweenaw Peninsula is beautiful. Nearby casino with RV park. We camped at Baraga State Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a great, small state park. Good campground facilities for a state park, with no sewer and water at site, but a very convenient dump station and water points. The park has not much other than the campground. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Baraga State Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

I downgraded my rating from last year because I reserved a pull thru site and they did not have mine available when I got there. Also, the traffic noise from the highway seemed to be worse then last year. The south section of campground was closed so it got a little busy in the north section. I was surprised how many campers there were, again reservations not essential unless you want a pull thru. A good place for base camp. We camped at Baraga State Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This was our first trip in our 5er so we wanted to try our contained systems and not have full hookups. Campground staff was friendly and helpful, however, not always available. First day they had no one at the gate all day. Have a campground host, but they too were not around very much and the one question I asked (about firewood, he could not answer). Baraga as most Michigan state parks are beautiful and clean. Most sites are grassy and level. They have 6 sites that are pull thru that only 30ft and up can use. You can reserve over the Michigan DNR website. They have a dump station. Electric service is 30 amp in some sites (need to visit web page, map will show which sites). Bathrooms are clean, showers are very hot. Park is across a highway from the Keweenaw Bay, has boat launch. Did I mention highway? Yes the only down side is that the entire park borders US 41 , major two lane connecting Houghton/Keweenaw counties to the south. Needless to say traffic is constant and noisy, it does decrease at night and what litte traffic there was never woke me up. Good place to stop overnight or use as a base camp to visit Copper Harbor and other scenic sites, or to fish. Close to grocery and gas. Definitely will stay again. We camped at Baraga State Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
